The location is within minutes walk of great tourist attractions such as Tower of London, Tower Bridge, St. Katherines Dock, St. Pauls, Tate Modern, The Globe Theatre but also if on business Lloyds of London and of course the square mile and it has access to the Underground 200 metres away. The DLR 150m away can take you to Canary Wharf or ExCel centre in minutes for conventions and events. We also have the River Bus by the Tower of London, which can take you up and down the river whether on tourism or work.

We have been renting our property for over 30 years now and have welcomed many guests back every year who have now become our friends.

Why Andrew Ellis chose England

The property is in possibly one of the best locations for tourism and work. There is so much history in the area and also amazing restaurants and bars being in the City of London.

We are a serviced apartment so we have staff on the premises from 8am to 4pm weekdays. So anything not quite right we can remedy straight away for you.

It is also of a very good size compared to other apartments in the City and your key is waiting for you on arrival at the property not at another location as is sometimes the case with other apartment lets.

What makes this apartment unique

Not many apartments allow you to walk out of your building and walk 3 minutes to see the Tower of London which is over 900 years old.

Great place!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Marlyn Lodge very much. There was a slight problem the night we arrive, but it was taken care of quickly. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable, the bed is very nice, but for me the pillows could have been softer. Over all the apartment met all our needs. It is very close to Tower Bridge, the bus and tube lines, which made getting around very easy. We would definitely stay here again!!

Shout out to Liz from Houston for saving us on Sunday night. She has stayed at the Marlyn Lodge for 25 years, that tells you what kind of place it is. She would not have kept coming back if she didn't like it! For the price you can not do any better!

Large comfortable apartment, spotty wifi

Stayed October 2016. There is nothing wrong with this apartment, it is spacious, clean, they provide shampoo and conditioner etc. But it seemed very corporate or hotel room like. Short walk to tower bridge which is beautiful. Apartment didn't have any personality or cuteness etc. Construction right outside, so if you don't mind a jackhammer etc. at 7 am you will be fine - they were noisy even on the weekend! ... Even with the windows closed we found it a bit noisy, and can hear everyone coming home from the pub. Easy to find and check in, the tesco express around the corner was a lifesaver (no laundry soap provided). Unfortunately the tube lines servicing this area was shut down for maintenance when we were here so we were stuck until we figured out how to get a bus. We felt safe, had what we needed, but wouldn't stay here again, would try a different place. (Personal taste).

Clean, roomy, well equipped and in a great locatio

The unit was all we expected. The rooms were quite spacious and clean. The bed was a king and comfortable. Plenty of hanging space and room for luggage. Bathroom was adequate with plenty hot water. Kitchen was generous and well stocked. (even tea bags sugar salt etc). The unut is close to buses, trains and river. Plenty pubs and eateries close by, and Tesco around the corner. Overall we had agood experience during our 11 day stay.

Wonderful flat in a great location!

This flat was perfect for our first stay in London! We rented the one bedroom. It was clean, safe, quiet, and close to all that we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the bath was spacious with plenty of shelf space for toiletries. The tube station was a very short walk away. There are many interesting things to see and do in The City. Having the Tesco (grocery) next door was very helpful. We plan to stay here again for our next London adventure if Andrew will have us! We were very happy with this flat.

There are a few things that first time American travelers should know. These things are common when traveling anywhere outside of the US.

It's unlikely that you will find wash cloths. Bring a cloth or sponge in your luggage.

Bring clothes that you can air dry as most places do not offer dryers. This flat offers a drying rack for laundry.

On each electrical outlet, there is a switch that turns the outlet on and off. Top sheets are not available for beds.

In this flat, the controls for the shower are separate from the controls for the bath.

The nearest underground station is Tower Hill on the Circle and District lines and is a few minutes walk from the apartments.
