New owners as of December 2012. When this condo became available we could not pass up the opportunity to buy in to this fabulous community. Jamaica Royale is well maintained and many of the community amenities have been recently updated. The grounds, pools, grilling area and shuffle board courts are great!

This condo has been recently updated with two new flat screen TV's and has cable & password protected wireless internet . You'll probably find better things to do than watch TV or check email while visiting but just in case.......
Having stayed in unit 51 in 2015 (with a few minor issues), after seeing updated photos & assurances all other minor details, such as the lack of kitchen ware, had been address, we decided to select the same unit in April 2016, and are very happy we did. We love the location of # 51......just steps away from the "quiet" pool, i.e. no kids insight for the most part and very handy to the BBQ, which we used numerous times during our 3 week stay. As with all other reviewers, we found Doug & the folks at Jamaica Royale to be super accommodating. As for the next upgrade, my suggestion would be the leather couch......which while still comfortable and functional....is showing a little wear & tear.
We loved our stay in this unit and the Jamaica royale. The location was so close to the beach and the complex was very nice and well kept. The unit had everything we needed, and everything fixed from the previous reviews. It was great to have a well stocked kitchen and a laundry room. The owner was great to deal with and very accommodating, thanks Doug. I hope we will be back.
I can't say enough about our stay in unit 51. Everything you need is at your finger tips from having the pool just outside your door to all the amenities that you would have at home. Dealing with the owner and the managing people at Jamaica Royale was a breeze.

We would agree with many of the points Mr. & Mrs. Q made and were glad to read that the owner is addressing the concerns. Some of the issues we had in common were the unbelievable squeaky bed (the one closet to the closet), limited and very basic "dollar store" quality of eating & cooking utensils. And while there were a few glass wine glasses, they would be considered "classics", with the remaining wine glasses and most of the drinking glasses were plastic. The only serious problem we experienced, was the A/C stopped working outside of normal business hours, however one call to the Answering Service and the repair man was there within a couple of hours and had things working within half an hour. (he did comment the problem was a build up of dirty & dust, which should have been cleaned as part of routine maintenance, but obviously wasn't).
Outside of the above, we loved the location of the unit. Very close to the bbq and pool, both of which we used almost daily. We are also bike riders, so it great to have a covered place to keep them, along with the car, so they didn't bake in the April sun and the 80+ degree temps we experienced during our 3 weeks on Siesta Key. As previously noted by other reviewers, the internet was very fast and reliable, with no lag or freezing during FaceTime chats with family back in Canada.
With the upgrades the owner has indicated will occur, I have no doubt the unit will be 4+ stars in the very near future.
Lastly, while like a previous reviewer, we did not hear from anyone at the Management company after our arrival, we did not view this as any kind of a concern. We knew where their office was located in Siesta Village (a 5 minute drive away) should we need to talk to them personally and after our A/C problem early into our stay, were quite comfortable knowing a call to the after hours Answering Service would ensure any issue was immediately addressed.
Bottom line is we would stay in this unit again and would recommend it to friends & family.
The owner contacted us almost immediately after the review was posted, saying that he was unaware of most of these issues. He indicated that he planned to address the problems.

The shower was one of the most powerful we’ve ever had. It was great
Off-site manager: We have used VRBO (and other rental sites) to rent a variety of units in Siesta Key & other places through owners, on-site & off-site managers. This is the first time we were never contacted by anyone except when we paid the deposit & when they contacted us to see if we planned to return next year. We picked up the key from a drop box & returned it to the drop box. When we didn’t get a request for the final rental payment 60 days out, I had to contact them.
Individual units are non-smoking, but smoking is permitted outside. For the last two weeks of our stay, cigarette/cigar smokers rented the next unit, & they smoked on their patio. Because of smoke sensitivities, we couldn’t sit on our patio when they were outside & had to close our patio door, because the smoke came right into our unit. For the first few days, they left dirty ashtrays on the patio, which we asked them to empty (they did) but use of our patio was still limited.
Although the unit appeared clean, it was, as my mother used to say, “cleaned in the middle.” There were dustballs & TOENAIL CLIPPINGS under chairs. There were glasses with lipstick on the rims, other dishes had food residue. The bathroom did seem clean.
Bathroom lighting was very poor, & there was no ventilation fan.
The screen on the patio door has a huge hole by the handle. We didn’t leave via the patio door, because we weren’t sure the key would always work to let us back in. The door has been “jury-rigged” to lock the left side, & there’s a hole in which you insert a nail to secure the door. It was very cold quite a few days (33 one morning), & cold air blew right through the door, so we had to keep the drapery closed.
There are two double beds, & they are horrible. The first night we tried sleeping together, but the bed squeaked & rocked every time one of us even moved. So, we opted to sleep separately. Even then, the noise of the bed was enough to wake us. We’re not large people—both under 150 pounds.
There were two teaspoons, so if they were dirty, we either had to use soup spoons or wash them. Most of the utensils were dollar store quality.
