Fantastic views for all the family!

A modern two storey apartment situated in a peaceful and landscaped hillside location in the historical village of Ossuccio, which is located on the desirable central western shore of Lake Como.

This apartment is ideal for a large party of guests who would like space, comfort, Lake views and who also maybe searching for ‘Dog-friendly’ accommodation. The property situated on the first floor and with private access offers a generously sized modern Open plan Living and Dining room, with seating area, TV, Dining table and modern newly-fitted kitchen.

From the Open plan Living area there is access out onto a sunny and quite spacious Balcony Terrace, with outdoors seating and a Dining area for memorable ‘Alfresco’ dining experiences! The views are beautiful and varied with dramatic mountains, landscaped gardens and the picturesque Lake Como all featuring and providing a wonderful backdrop to enjoy a good book or a glass of wine.

The sleeping accommodation is ideal for a large party of upto 7 guests, with 2 spacious Double bedrooms and single Bedroom and Bathroom to the first floor, and a spacious Loft style Master Double Bedroom with luxury en-suite Shower to the upper floor.

Outside the property a private parking space, for up to 3 cars is also provided as it is advisable for guests staying to have a mode of transport to easily reach the local amenities and attractions.

There are many local amenities within easy access and just a short drive away, from the Tennis courts, Bank and Beach which are located in Ossuccio to the wide variety of Supermarket, shops and lakefront cafes in Lenno. A visit to the historical Isola Comacina with its Island Restaurant is a memorable experience, as are the famous Villa del Balbianello and Villa Carlotta, which are both reachable by car in just under 10-15 minute’s. A regular ferry service runs nearby from Cadenabbia and Menaggio to the other resort towns of Varenna and Bellagio, which are located on the easter shore of Lake Como and which make for wonderful trips during the daytime or for meals in the evenings.

Thank you to the Happy Holiday Homes team for such a great stay on Lake Como! My family stayed in a lovely holiday home, located along the western shore in the historical village of Ossuccio. The village was easily accessibly from the central lake attractions and there was also a great range of local amenities available to us in the village and the neighbouring town of Lenno.



Our holiday accommodation was clean, modern and very well presented; with a sunny dining terrace and a spacious garden to relax in. The partial lake views were beautiful and we were within envious reach of the Isola Comacina. We enjoyed dining out most evenings and had some truly unforgettable dining experiences at Locanda Trilindana, La Fagurida and La Darsena.



The holiday home provided us with the perfect base and the nearby attractions included the Comacina Island, Villa Balbianello, Villa Carlotta, the Greenway del lago and the walk upto Sacro Monte di Ossuccio; to name but a few! Thank you again for a truly wonderful holiday!

The Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club is Italy's oldest golf course. Established in 1907 with 18 holes Par 70, it is located above Menaggio near Croce, in Grandola ed Uniti, approx. 20 min. by car. Green Fees: Weekdays €55, Weekends and Holidays €70 Euros; Golf Cart Rental €36.

Restaurant Golf at the club serves fantastic food and is well recommended.. Guests are always welcome, please call Golf Club Menaggio beforehand to check course rules.

Skiing:

This beautiful lake region of Italy is not the best for skiing as you may imagine, despite its scenery, crisp air and near perfect visibility and mountains capped in winter snow. It does however have Skiing opportunities at local resorts for a day out.

There is a small ski area on Mt. Lema, not more than 10 km from Lugano, but you have to be lucky to have enough snow for skiing. In Ticino, the local Swiss Canton, the best places to ski are probably either San Bernardino (south of the pass of the same name) or Airolo (south of Gotthard pass). Both are reachable in about 1 hour by car across the Swiss border.

There are direct trains to Airolo as well from Lugano and hence from Italian Stations. To S. Bernardino there is only a bus connection. For more snow try Andermatt (on the north side of Gotthard pass) which has normally good snow conditions and a good choice of runs.

The closest major ski resorts are Madesimo and St. Moritz toward the Splugen Pass, which is approx.100km.
