About Tom Chou

Our family is from Southern California and we use this property as our vacation home. It's become a family tradition and we visit 2-3 times per year. We have a 10 year old daughter who loves the neighborhood animals, including Henry the Goat.

Tom Chou purchased this house in 2002

Why Tom Chou chose Big Sky

We fell in love with Montana nearly 20 years ago. I'm a passionate fly fisherman, and this location is close to some of the best fly fishing in the world. Once you visit Montana, you'll be hooked. It becomes part of you.

What makes this house unique

This home sits on top of a hill with spectacular Gallatin Valley views. The sitting room is one of the best rooms in the house to take in the views, read, and nap. It's a perfect base camp for the multitude of activities available in the area. It's close enough to the main highway to conveniently get to all the activities close by, but still private. It's less than 15 minutes to the ski resort in the winter one way, and only 45 minutes to West Yellowstone the other. The Big Sky Town Center is a mere 5 minutes up the road. The home has porches back and front, including a hot tub, so you can sit with a glass of wine and soak in the beauty and grandeur of Montana.

Amazing space near Big Sky

  • 5 of 5

The property was everything it was advertised to be and comfortably fit our group of 8 during our time in Montana. We thoroughly enjoyed being so close to Big Sky, Yellowstone, and the amazing views the property has to offer. Tom was extremely helpful and helped us organize everything we needed to before we even landed. He even pointed us to some great bakeries in the area for my girlfriends birthday cake. We definitely all had an amazing time and would love to rent the house again during a trip to Big Sky!

Great location.

1st time at this house. Great location for us, actually some of us snowmobiled right to it from the rental shop and dining. Plenty of room, great views, clean, very accommodating, everyone had a great time. Look forward to staying here again.

Our family loves this home!

  • 5 of 5

This is our 3rd time staying at this beautiful home! It is the perfect spot for a family get together with plenty of room. The home had everything we needed. We had a beautiful drive through Yellowstone and enjoyed the views from the hot tub after a day of fishing the Gallatin. Can't wait to come back!

You will love it.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a family vacation with people coming from 3 states. House is up on a hill with great views of the surrounding mountains. The Big Sky area is 5 minutes away with shops and hiking. Horse back riding is just down the road and West Yellowstone is just under and hour away. Great place and well stocked. We will be back!

Montana Family reunion

  • 5 of 5

We had a family reunion with 12 people and the teenage girl cousins thought the small cabin was the greatest thing ever.

The Big Sky area is close to everything.

This was a great vacation spot. The Property Managers and Tom were on top of everything.

Thanks again.

Big Sky, MT family trip

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of twelve from age 8 to 73 for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. It was a trip of a lifetime. We enjoyed several beautiful June days in Yellowstone and great days in big sky. I love to hike and a great hike is just across the street from the house. There was so much to do and each day added a new adventure. The house was perfect for our group. We were able to enjoy our time together at the house. When we arrived the house was perfect. Property mgmt had made sure everything was ready for us. Tom had given us perfect instructions and great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. He was above and beyond helpful. I believe he truly wanted our special vacation for my parents special anniversary to be perfect. We like to travel to new places but this place was so amazing my husband and I are already talking about returning. As my 8yo daughter said, "this trip was spectacular." If considering Big Sky, this house is a perfect place to stay.
