About Tom Chou
Our family is from Southern California and we use this property as our vacation home. It's become a family tradition and we visit 2-3 times per year. We have a 12 year old daughter who loves the neighborhood animals, including Henry the Goat.
Tom Chou purchased this House in 2002
Why Tom Chou chose Riverview Ranch
We fell in love with Montana nearly 20 years ago. I'm a passionate fly fisherman, and this location is close to some of the best fly fishing in the world. Once you visit Montana, you'll be hooked. It becomes part of you.
What makes this House unique
This home sits on top of a hill with spectacular Gallatin Valley views. The sitting room is one of the best rooms in the house to take in the views, read, and nap. It's a perfect base camp for the multitude of activities available in the area. It's close enough to the main highway to conveniently get to all the activities close by, but still private. It's less than 15 minutes to the ski resort in the winter one way, and only 45 minutes to West Yellowstone the other. The Big Sky Town Center is a mere 5 minutes up the road. The home has porches back and front, including a hot tub, so you can sit with a glass of wine and soak in the beauty and grandeur of Montana.

Beautiful views, modern log cabin, open kitchen/living/dining made for a great group gathering place
Beautiful mountain views from almost every direction. This modern log cabin with its open, friendly kitchen/dining/living area made socializing amongst our party of 10 extremely comfortably. Ample seating in dining area to accommodate all. However, the single downstairs bath proved a challenge for the number of guests and accompanying bed space. Extremely comfortable master bed. Well-maintained and quite relaxing hot tub. Disappointed in water quality especially in bathrooms (strong sulfur smell, hard water). Outside trash cans were not only bear-proof but human-proof to non-locals as well.
Overall, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the house and our visit the Big Sky!
We stayed at this cabin for a week with 3 kids (1 year old up to 7) and 3 adults. Plenty of room for the kids to run around and the adults to find a quiet space. The pictures though do not represent the house well - it is so much more stunning in real life! Management company was super nice, so was house keeping. House has everything you would ever need - we will be back!
My family said it was awesome! Thanks so much!
We had a great time at the property and it worked out perfect. The parking was big enough for our trailers and the house is clean and well kept.
The only thing that it needs is a different coffee pot.
I would highly recommend this property.
Amazing space near Big Sky
The property was everything it was advertised to be and comfortably fit our group of 8 during our time in Montana. We thoroughly enjoyed being so close to Big Sky, Yellowstone, and the amazing views the property has to offer. Tom was extremely helpful and helped us organize everything we needed to before we even landed. He even pointed us to some great bakeries in the area for my girlfriends birthday cake. We definitely all had an amazing time and would love to rent the house again during a trip to Big Sky!
1st time at this house. Great location for us, actually some of us snowmobiled right to it from the rental shop and dining. Plenty of room, great views, clean, very accommodating, everyone had a great time. Look forward to staying here again.
Located in Big Sky, less than 50 miles from West Yellowstone and perched above the Gallatin River on 5 private acres, yet conveniently located near highway 191 for easy access to activities all year round, especially Yellowstone National Park. You can walk to the river to fly fish, or it's just a 15 minute drive to the ski resort.
