My wife and I have three wonderful children. We live in Portland, but I resided in Kennebunk when I first moved to Maine in 1995. We frequently revisit Kennebunk and Parson's Beach (our favorite). We hope you can create memories of Kennebunk with your family.

Comfort in Kennebunk

My husband and I spent a lovely month at the Villager in Kennebunk. The house was nicely decorated, had comfortable beds, and a well stocked kitchen. There were 1 and 1/2 bathrooms, both on the second floor. The house was clean and well maintained. It was a short walk to the town center, which is a real plus. The owner was attentive to any small problem that came up. Provided was a well organized booklet that answered all questions about the house, and listed many restaurants, shopping centers, and other local activities in the area. This was appreciated! We fully enjoyed our stay. T & T

Perfect Getaway!

My wife and our 3 children, loved this house. The location was perfect for a walk downtown to enjoy Perfectos Café, the shops or to enjoy an ice cream. We had some hot weather (90+) so having the pool was a perfect way to enjoy those days. The hot tub was great to relax in at the end of the day as well! The house has the perfect mix of older charm (but fully restored) and modern amenities such as central air and cable TV. The owner Anthony was great to offer suggestions and we used those suggestions on the Ogunquit trip and Marginal Walk which is a short ride away. I would highly suggest this home to friends looking for an awesome getaway!

Be careful

This house IS nice, but I'd avoid it as it's not worth the potential headaches. If you do come, be prepared to spend considerable time doing a walk through of the house detailing EVERY scratch, dent, nick, stain, and crack. I'd recommend noting even minor things like a small crack in the refrigerator butter door, even if they don't affect its function. If you plan to cook, definitely note the existing level of wear of the pots and pans. If the owner deems that you actually used them and contributed to their wear and tear, he may charge you for a brand new $500 set of pans. When you leave, you must plan to spend many hours cleaning the place. If you don't do things like clean the inside of the oven, you could be charged hundreds of dollars. All in all, the owner could try to charge you large sums (in my case over $3,000) to try to get back a brand new house.

Owner's Response: Rebecca. I feel it is important to clarify that our expectations during long term rentals (7 months) were clearly stated in the agreement and our communications throughout your stay. We expect that our off season rentals take the same care as the short term renters so the next up can enjoy the home in the same condition as it was when you arrived; a well kept and clean home. Your security deposit (1/2 of your claim) was used to return it to that condition. Luckily there have been no other instances where this was required short or long term rental.

This is a lovely cottage style home situated in a perfect spot for taking walks downtown to coffee shops & restaurants. The pool and hot tub were in perfect condition and great relaxation. It has a well appointed kitchen, nice decor and very clean. It is about a 10 Min drive to Mothers Beach ( a parking pass is included) which is lovely.

We had a great week at the villager!

Perfect place with kids

Fantastic place to stay! The pool and the spa were perfect after a nice hot day at the beach! The cycling around and near the beach was tremedious as well. See you for sure in the future.
