Groppo Villa Rental Photos and Description

A detached newly renovated boutique rental with all mod cons and rustic charms.

The house in Northern Tuscany is available to rent as a holiday home on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

A detached property set in an acre of Tuscan hillside with incredible views across the Magra valley, Apuan mountains & distant hills of Liguria. If you are looking for a holiday rental in Tuscany then look no further. Casa Miele is loved by all who visit and even locals compliment the fortunate outlook and position of this property.

The view changes on a daily basis depending on the weather & lighting conditions, which highlight or hide different contours on different days & provides wonderful surprises when a new castle or village seems to emerge.

Casa Miele is an original stone property that has been renovated & enlarged to provide a calm oasis to enjoy & savour the Italian countryside in-between trips to the endless interesting destinations nearby.

My wife and I stayed there for a week on our Honeymoon. It was simply the most wonderful place for us to have been.

Pisa, Parma are not far at all. The house is beautifully decorated and well kept.

The views are breathtaking. The quiet and solitude are a blessing.

We're definitely booking again for next year.

Wonderfull souvenirs for us and for our 3 Kids. Big garden to play, nice view in front of mountains, quiet place and lovely village. It was our third stay in Casa Miele... Always a pleasure and Bianca, the owner, is very helpfull even if she lives in UK. Toscana is very beautifull of course.

We hope to come back next Year.

Wow!

Thank you for a fabulous holiday. The villa has been done up beautifully. We loved looking at the before and after renovation photo album. It made us appreciate it all the more. The villa has an authentic Italian feel with all the comforts of home. Even before we arrived we felt we had lots of great information and ideas on what to do from your website and this helped us get so much out of the holiday. From the moment we landed at Pisa airport, we loved every minute of it. It started with a straight forward drive up the coast with stunning mountain scenery on our right. The directions we received were easy to follow as we wound our way gently up through towns and villages to the lovely Bagnone. The final steep drive up to Casa Miele is breath-taking. The setting gives stunning views from both the garden and the roof terraced patio. We almost didn’t feel the need to venture out, but venture out we did. We were spoilt for choice but went where the weather was best – Pisa (much more impressive than we anticipated) and the lovely walled city of Lucca are a must. We also visited the heritage coastline of the Cinque Terre villages. The coastal walk is supposed to be one of the most beautiful in Europe and, from the short stretch we did, it was definitely not oversold. There was so much more we could have done but a week went by very quickly. We shall definitely aim to be back for more.

A fire fly fiesta

  • 5 of 5

We booked Casa Miele as a rural retreat to experience proper Tuscan life and it didn't disappoint.

The house was a pleasure to discover down a single track that felt like you were in a forest and the feeling of light and space was immediately apparent as we pulled back the shutters.

Bianca leaves you to it but the folders in the house and knowing she is available to ask questions is great.

The house is immaculately clean, well stocked, particularly the little glass bowls in the bathroom of things you may have forgotten, hairdryers in each bathroom, slippers... And also games for indoors and out.

The kitchen was a highlight and it felt like home from home and there were ample plates and glasses.

We spent a lot of time in the house, on the Portico mainly, but also explored Pontremoli, Cinque Terra and Lucca oh and the nearby outdoor pool.

The stars, fireflies, fresh air and views will stay with me for a long time and we hope to return.

Hidden away paradise

  • 5 of 5

Bianca's Tuscan hideaway was the perfect getaway for me and 7 friends to laugh, dance, run around the garden, explore Tuscany from and eat breakfast on the terrace. The fireflies at night are magical and blanket the grass! the rooms are really spacious and there are several options for places to sit and eat. it got rainy one day but there were plenty of games in the house to play. all the cooking utensils you need are available and lots of guides for the area too. we found two treasures of restaurants in nearby Bagnone - one in a little grotto we had to ourselves! and the price was sooooo affordable I would definitely come back again. thanks so much Bianca for making it easy and for communicating so regularly with me.

Bagnone is one of the prettiest villages in the center of Lunigiana. Topped by a castle fortress with the typical round tower of Lunigiana, the castle is now divided into several family units for the lucky few that get to live in it and enjoy the view. It is possible to walk up to the castle from the lower town. A wonderful walk it is too, over the ponte vechio where an obligatory pause to enjoy the view and a great photo opportunity.

Bagnone was home this Summer 2009 to Europe's biggest ever lottery win. Well the ticket was purchased in one of its several cafes. The small picturesque town was swamped by international press for one surreal week where one reporter noted the irony of winning the lottery when you already live in a place that people fantasise about moving to after a lottery win! That says it all really it is a spectacular town known as the jewel of Lunigiana.

There is a wide range of tasting packages to suit all budgets and tastes. Its recommended that you book early to avoid disappointment and to book the event at the start of your stay so you can enjoy all the leftover wine for the rest of your stay.
