One-bedroom apartment in Denia sleeping 2-4 near beach and town centre
The apartment is on a gated urbanisation of 15 properties complete with pool, lush gardens and only ten minutes walk from the town centre, bus and railway stations (no car necessary). Perfect for two people, the apartment has a lounge area with air conditioning for summer and woodburning stove for cool winter nights; small kitchen, bathroom with shower and double bedroom with overhead fan. A sheltered terrace overlooks the gardens and pool; perfect for al fresco dining. Linen and towels are supplied and there’s also a washing machine and Wifi. The apartment will be thoroughly cleaned for your arrival.
The apartment is in the orange growing area of town and a few groves few still remain. In spring the scent of orange blossom is beguiling. It’s only ten minutes from the beach and marina with their fabulous choice of restaurants and bars. Close by are two supermarkets selling wine, fresh bread, fruit, veg, meat and fish. A little further afield are the towns of Javea, Oliva and Gandia each combining wonderful stretches of beach with historic town centres.

About Lesley O'Hare and Mike Nolan
My sister and I jointly own the apartment; our parents retired there in 1989; our mum stayed in Denia, loving the community and culture. This was home for us in our adult years, and for our children, and it continues to be a place for our memories and, we hope for you to create new memories.

Great location and beautiful gardens and outlook.
My husband and I spent six sunny weeks in this apartment and it met our needs. Generally the apartment is a bit tired but this is reflected in the cost. The patio, gardens and pool area are beautiful and well maintained.
The location is fantastic with views to the mountain, few minutes walk to LIDL, Consum, 10 minutes walk to the beach, an outside gym, 15 minutes walk to bars/restaurants at the Marina and 20 minutes walk to the old town/town centre.
A car is not necessary and we hired bicycles for a month from Ring Ring bikes in Carrer Colon. They were really great to deal with, very friendly and helpful.
Denia is a great place for walking, running, cycling and swimming and the climate makes it very easy to get out and about every day. There's also a gym 10 mins walk away with yoga, Pilates, fitness classes etc and a great osteopath, Heidi Tryland.
The apartment is set in a beautiful location, views of the mountain from the leafy terrace. Pool lovely, and very welcome during an exceptionally hot spell. But Denia itself isn't for me. Not like it was 25 years ago when I was last there. No longer a quiet Spanish town
Thanks for your positive review about your stay; Denia has grown over the past 25 years since our parents moved there. For us, it has retained its Spanishness but, yes, the town centre is certainly busier than it was back in the day.
Beautiful site in a wonderful location
This is a great location, easy access to beach and town and supermarkets only 5 min walk away. The site is beautiful with lovely gardens and a wonderful view of the mountain. The pool is lovely and nice to have a patio with furniture too. It is a very quiet, peaceful & relaxed complex with very nice residents. Denia has lots to offer - castle, marina, port, sandy beaches, rocky coves. The owners were easy to deal with and the description was accurate.

The apartment is 30 years old and is very worn / tired and in need of a refurbishment. It's is very dark and not particularly welcoming.
Some of the fittings are still the originals.
The saving grace was the patio and garden area as 10/10
We're sorry that the apartment did not meet your expectations; we believe that the pictures show that it can be both cosy in winter and cool in summer. The apartment is typically Spanish and would seem dark on arrival; the shutters would have been closed, blinds down and curtains drawn (for security year round, and for cool in the summer). It is 30 years old and, although it has not yet had a major refurbishment, and our pricing reflects that, it is clean and well appointed.
Comfortable and relaxing ... great little find
Great weeks stay at a fantastic location, beautiful pool and great views of the mountains. Easy access to the town and beaches . The old town and Castle is a must to visit with great bars and restaurants.

beautiful property with lovely views
lovely apartment in a quiet part of Denia about 5 -10 minutes walk from the seafront and beautiful marina. mountain about 30-45 minutes walk away with some lovely walks.also good for mountain biking.plenty to do i Denia.I would highly recommend the apartment & the area.as Arnold Schwarzenegger said; i will be back!

Only one hour (90km) from Alicante and Valencia airports and situated in the heart of the Costa Blanca, Denia is a busy town with a population of around 43,000. The town is dominated by its C11th castle and the imposing mountain, Mongo; it has a lively fish market, museum and contemporary art gallery, top restaurants and is the starting point for the ferry to Ibiza. Denia has a fiesta for every season including Cabalgata de los Reyes Magos (5 January), Las Fallas (March), Las Bous a la Mar (part of the Santisma Sang - http://www.celebrateinspain.com/celebrate-in-spain-costa-blanca-fiestas-yearly.php) , Moors and Christians and many more. A car is not necessary with good train and bus links from both airports.
