HeathBrooke Cabin is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in Seven Devils, NC - just off NC Hwy. 105 between Boone and Linville, near Banner Elk. 1 King & 2 Queen beds, plus 2 Twin beds in the loft mean this home can accommodate 5 to 8 people. (A cot and two couches boost the maximum occupancy to 10 or 11 for people willing to forego beds.)
(Search for HeathBrooke Cabin on Facebook for additional pictures and also a great events calendar for the High Country.)
After an easy - but typically curvy - drive up to Seven Devils, HeathBrooke greets visitors with a large front-and-side porch just above 3,700 feet in elevation. Depending on the season, beautiful sunrises can be seen from the front porch or from any of the front windows. The fire pit can be enjoyed year round.
The cabin is well-furnished with furniture and decor that will make you feel at home. It is not a cookie-cutter log cabin, but instead an updated mountain farm house. There is a mix of modern and rustic touches.
A speedy WiFi signal reaches every room and out onto the porch. Televisions in the living room, each bedroom and the loft have reliable cable with an expanded channel lineup (much more than basic channels). The large screen TV in the living room is also a smart TV, which makes it easy to watch Netflix, Hulu or other TV subscriptions.
If you enjoy cooking meals on vacation, you'll find the kitchen to be one of the better-stocked kitchens available in a rental cabin. The handcrafted dining room table seats 6 to 8, and the kitchen counter has four seats. A four-burner grill just outside the kitchen makes it easy to grill for a crowd.
Firm new mattresses, plus soft, clean and comfortable sheets and bath towels will noticeably enrich your stay.
Bed and bath linens (sheets and towels) are included in your stay. Leave them and your trash for housekeeping to take care of. A few toiletries may be available in each bathroom, but you should bring your own soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc.
HeathBrooke's location is great for people who want to be out of the way but still close to everything the High Country has to offer.

[A note about heating and air: Baseboard heaters provide heat in each room. Each one is independently controlled by a **thermostat that must be set in each room.**
As with many mountain homes, cooling comes from ceiling fans and mountain breezes passing through open windows. HeathBrooke does not have central air conditioning. This is quite common in the High Country where temperatures are rarely high enough to warrant a/c.]
[HeathBrooke does not currently have a hot tub, although one may be added in the future. In the meantime, the rates are set accordingly - making HeathBrooke an even greater bargain in the High Country!]
[Some rentals add another booking and/or processing fee on top of the processing fee already charged by this website. HeathBrooke does charge a cleaning fee, and also the standard taxes and processing fee. However, there's no adding of that booking/processing fee twice.]
