Lahaina Oceanfront Treasure is just that! From the outside this looks like an old historic house. We are in the National Historic boundary of Lahaina so we desire to preserve some of the history and culture. Once you open the gate the 'treasure' is astounding! The house and Ohana (guest house) has been completely refurbished. Inside you see that you have the only private beach lagoon in West Maui.
Located on Front Street in Lahaina, you are just steps away from all of the best art galleries, restaurants and shops. The Banyan Tree park and The Lahaina Boat Harbor just a quarter mile away. Ka'anapali and Kapalua Beach resorts are a short drive to the north.
Lahaina was the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii during the 1800s. In the 1900s Lahaina became the center of the global whaling industry with many sailing ships located anchored in its waterfront. Today, Front Street has been ranked one of the 'Top Ten Greatest Streets' by the American Planning Association.
Lahaina Oceanfront Treasure's main house has three Bedrooms, 1 full and 2 half baths, and an office. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is right on the water! You will LOVE to cook here! This home has the amenities of flat screen T.V.s in the living room and each bedroom, high speed wireless internet, business center, stereo, DVD & VCR players. The Ohana has its own kitchen, bathroom and outdoor lanai. There is a flat screen TV, DVD and CD players. Outside there is a wrap around stone wall with an outdoor shower.
There is a wonderful patio, equipped with a gas BBQ for your relaxation. There is a large, beautiful hot tub. You will be amazed at the gorgeous sunsets!!!! Be sure to stay after the sun has set because then the sun rays reflect underneath the clouds to bring you an absolutely fabulous, colorful romantic experience.
During the whale season you will see whales playing just a few hundred yards off shore! And yes, you will see rainbows!
The home comes withstand up paddle boards, surfboards and kayaks which you can launch right from the house. We also have bicycles and fishing gear. Protected by the reef, the water here is quite shallow and safe. Baby Beach (so called because mothers take their children to this safest of all beaches) is only about a hundred yards away so you can just wade or walk there!!!

Aloha we are a fun couple that loves the life we have here in Maui. Every day we are blessed by beautiful sunrises, gorgeous flowers and warm friendly people.
We are a blended family, Paul has three adult sons, Eddene has three adult daughters and a granddaughter. We live in a very small home in Lahaina. When the kids come to visit it gets pretty crowded so back in 2007 we decided to buy the house next door so that the family could be close by but have enough space. The house was built in 1937 and needed a lot of TLC. It has been a labor of love.
Since the house is often without family present it only made since to start offering it for other families to enjoy for their vacations. We find so much pleasure in meeting people from all over the world and sharing the aloha of Maui.
Come join us for happiness and relaxation with many fun things to do.

Eddene McNamara purchased this house in 2007
We could not have asked for a better home or home owners! The home is right on the water and just a 5 minute or so walk from a beach, if you choose not to swim/wade through the water. Besides groceries and sight seeing, we really could have walked everywhere. We had dinner outside almost every night watching the sun set and inside the home you can hear the waves - amazing! It is within walking distance of the downtown for shopping and eating and also the port for any water/boating activities. I would recommend going directly to the port, if you are interested in water activities to find out the info, rather than working through a sales booth downtown. The home had EVERYTHING we needed - I was even able to make my traditional peanut butter pie, because they had a stand mixer. This is a trip we had been planning on for a while and it was perfect!! Mahalo!
We rented the Lahaina Oceanfront Treasure for our stay during our daughter's wedding in Lahaina and it could not have been better. It provided the perfect spot for our focal point. Beautiful home, Ohana, grounds, and location. The private beach access was a huge plus as well. Eddene and Paul were appreciably gracious and respectful hosts. We would recommend this location for any group traveling to Lahaina, especially for family or good friend gatherings!
This beautiful property was the perfect location to celebrate our 45th anniversary and experience our first visit to Maui and the Hawaiian Islands. This was an adult family vacation and we all took full advantage of the bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling equipment. One other especially popular feature was the warm outdoor shower. It was a luxury to be able to walk out of the ocean and wash off the salt water before lounging in the sun or sitting in the hot tub. The ever changing view of the ocean and Lanai in the distance was breathtaking. Nighttime brought rewards too--moonlight on the water and the absence of artificial light afforded some spectacular star-gazing.
Outside of this slice of paradise, we fell in love with the quaintness of Lahaina and easy walking distance to excellent restaurants in both directions. The close proximity of the wharf made a snorkeling boat trip stress free because we were able to avoid a long drive. It was also a pleasant surprise to find out that we would be able to walk to a popular island luau.
Eddenne and Paul were welcoming and obviously concerned about our comfort. One morning Paul surprised us with a bunch of fresh bananas from their yard. With more of the world to see, we initially had planned for this to be our first and last trip to Maui. However, we've already set a tentative date to come back, hopefully during whale-watching season. This beautiful space has truly captured the Aloha Spirit.
In addition to providing us with jaw dropping sunset views this property is tricked out with kayaks, surfboards and bicycles. The property is located 1/4 mile from Baby Beach and 1/4 mile from the Front Street retail strip. We fully recommend this property for a family vacation.
We spent a glorious week here for our destination wedding. The property was even better than the pictures! This property also is the only one on this stretch of Front Street homes with ocean access. The private cove has very little sand beach, but it really does afford you private access to this stretch of the ocean. From this point, anyone at least 5 feet tall can walk all the way out to the reef break (100 yards out), and all along the front to Baby Beach (about 1/4 mile North). It was great for kayaking and great snorkeling for us first-timers--we saw Humu and other fish, urchins, sea cucumber, eels. And we had a very large sea turtle getting his evening snack from our rock wall!
The Ohana House was perfect for the honeymooners' privacy, while still allowing inclusion as desired with the rest of the family in the main house.
This property has wall AC units in every bedroom and in the main house living room--definitely a must for those of us not used to humid climates.
We had walkable access to Lahaina Town on Front Street for awesome restaurants and shopping. We had driveable access within 20 minutes to the entire North West coast from Lahaina to Kapalua, for luaus, sand beach access, and more advanced snorkeling options.
Maximum parking for 3 vehicles at the property; visitors must find free (limited) street parking or paid parking.
Thanks Paul and Eddene for sharing your piece of Paradise!
This property truly is a treasure! My husband and I visited Maui for the first time last year, and we loved it so much we planned a vacation to include our kids and their spouses. After staying in a hotel on our last visit, we looked for a vacation rental that could comfortably accommodate our family. We are so glad that we found the Lahaina Oceanfront Treasure! My husband and I stayed in the Ohana, and the rest of the family used the main house.
While the pictures on the website accurately represent the current condition of the property, the beauty of the location is impossible to capture in photos. The backyard is right on the ocean, with a private cove that makes it easy to get in and out of the water. We spent many hours lounging in the sun (or shade - there's a big palm tree), and playing in the ocean. Since the home includes paddle boards, surf boards, boogie boards, kayaks, and snorkels, we were able to try a variety of activities without renting equipment. We also made good use of the bicycles on the mostly flat terrain of the surrounding area.
The property's location on Front Street is ideal. Old Lahaina's shops, restaurants, and galleries are just a short walk away in one direction; more restaurants, shopping, the grocery store, and the Old Lahaina Luau are within walking distance in the other direction. We only used our rental cars for excursions outside of Lahaina. Although we had originally expected to just use the house as our "base", we rarely left this beautiful property throughout our ten day stay.
The owners live next door, and they couldn't have been more gracious and accomodating. Shortly after we arrived, they came over to tell us about the amenities of the house and provide insights about the local area. Eddene later brought us a delicious homemade pie made with fresh mangos! Throughout our stay, they offered excellent restaurant suggestions from their insider's perspective. When I mentioned that we recently lost a very dear friend, they told us about a traditional "send-off" ceremony that involves letting the surf carry a lei out to sea. They even offered to translate our memorial words into Hawaiian for us, and to blow a conch shell in the island tradition!
We were so pleased with this property, and with the warm, welcoming approach of the owners. I'm already planning our next visit to the Lahaina Oceanfront Treasure!
Located on the oceanfront on Front Street in Lahaina, you will not find a better location. Baby Beach is 1 block to the north (or you can swim or wade to it). Downtown Lahaina is 1 block to the south. The Banyon Tree Park, Lahaina Harbor (whale watching, fishing, dinner cruises, snorkel trips), Ulalena at the Maui Theater, Warren & Annebelle's Magic Show, surf lessons, Traditional Hawaiian Luaus, Wo Hing Temple Museum, Baldwin Home Museum, Sugar Cane Train, art galleries, shops and restaurants are all just steps away!
