We are located minutes away in all directions for any type of activity. Wine tasting, Swimming in the river, walking the beaches, visiting State Parks, local Farmers markets, Shops and Dining. However, most admit they wished they'd just cooked and stayed in once they knew how special the property was! Breath taking, one of a kind views from all directions.
This special location provides guests with total privacy. Other than the main Ranch House around the tree line, the rental is miles from main highway noise. Our rental and property provide many seating areas to read, watch a sunrise, or just sit and visit. The 100+ acre ranch is all yours to visit.

The location has drop dead gorgeous views if you are the type who loves being on top of a mountain. If you need the ocean, it is a quick drive away. Perfect setting for those seeking solitude or some quiet time. The cabin was rustic and beautiful, very well-kept and had everything you needed for a stay comparable to home. We only met one of the owners (Homer), who was friendly, easy going and helpful. I wished we had stayed longer. It is the perfect base for some R&R as well as exploring the Russian River area. We enjoyed lunch at the nearby town of Duncan Mills and viewing the harbor seals in Jenner. If one has time , ...when coming to(or leaving from) the place, try taking the route (I think the Bohemian highway) that will bring you to the towns of Occidental and Freestone ( great bakery (Wildflower) in this place) . It is a beautiful but winding country drive. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely perfect! Great escape to unwind after the craziness of a wedding. The view and cabin look like they fell out of a picture book. The privacy, accommodations and intimate setting was exactly what we needed.
Crow's Peak Ranch is something else--a perfect hideaway for those who just need to get away for a bit and clear their minds. The studio is impeccably laid out with lots of character. The drive in the dark the first night was a little scary, but you get the hang of the dark winding roads after a bit. You definitely need a car to at least get there and leave--whether you actually leave the property is your own choice. There is a full kitchen, so we wished we'd brought more food to cook, but Guerneville is pretty close for meals. Sunrises and sunsets are perfect from the perfectly placed windows in the kitchen. Would love to come back again and again to gaze at the stars.
We thoroughly enjoyed our five nights at The Crows Nest and cannot even begin to describe this place-on-a-hill accurately to our friends and family. The long winding gravel drive from Cazadero Highway to the cabin sets the stage and the cabin and views at the end of it are just perfect. I loved all the little vignettes around the property....whether planned or happenstance we'll never know....but they provided many little moments that sparked a conversation or a private smile making our experience all the richer. The cabin itself is clean and comfy and nicely decorated, with lots of windows to let in light and capture the views. If all that isn't enough, the icing on the cake is the ranch animals, from the horses, burros, goats and resident turkeys, to an occasional jack rabbit. It really is very special.
Can't list all the good things about this lovely cabin on top of the mountains; splendid views, comfortable and clean, friendly and helpful hosts, with variety of things to do or do nothing at all weekend long. Certainly we will be back.
Upon our arrival we were awe struck by the mountain view and the wonderful cabin. The photos do not give it justice. Everything was perfect. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The owners were very friendly but never intrusive. I can see us coming back to enjoy the cabin and its view again. We travel frequently and have used VRBO and Homeaway for many years, this property is #1 for us.
