Hello! A little bit about us. We are in our late twenties and have a 3 year old son. We are true water lovers! We both love Real-Estate and own several houses! This was my husband's house before we got married. We lived there for a short period and then moved into another house we bought. This home brings such comfort and peace when you are there. It's a very quiet place and the view's are beautiful. My favorite was always the morning sunshine, that sparkled on the river. We enjoyed many boat ride's to nearby beaches and restaurant in the summer. Once, returning from dinner we would always end our evening, with a dip in the sparkling pool! This home is very well decorated and has a lot of charm! We have put a lot of hard work and thought into making this place, a vacation home you will always remember and enjoy! We tried to think of things we enjoy most when we stay on vacation. A few that came to mind were comfortable beds, nice sheets, lots of kitchen goods, clean and nicely decorated. We feel we have provided this to our guest! We hope you will enjoy your stay and return again!
Ashley purchased this house in 2006
Thanks for opening your house to us. We had a wonderful time. we enjoyed the pool and dock. We loved watching the birds, crabs and snails. Our stay was perfect! We loved the decor! You've done a beautiful job. Thanks again!
This was the first time we had stayed and it was better than expected! Awesome view from the back deck! The pool was crystal clear we loved it. Was also nice to have kayaks there to use . House was decorated so cute and very clean. Will definitely stay again.
Thanks for opening your home to our family! We all enjoyed it and felt right at home, which was perfect since for most of the time there we were flooded in, Thank you Hermine! Even with a 3 yr old & 5 yr old, we managed to keep busy! Our boys loved the pool, and being able to fish with Daddy! I loved the decor in this home, everything fit right in with the location. I have already said I would love to return next Summer!
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. Definitely one of the cleanest homes we've rented! Owners are super nice. The house is beautifully decorated, fully equipped and comfortable all around! It's in a quiet area, but there is a ton to do just 15-30 minutes away. We stayed four nights and still didn't do everything we wanted to. I would suggest bringing bottled water for drinking, as the house uses well water which tastes different if you aren't used to it.
My husband and I stayed in this beautiful secluded home with our teenage sons. As soon as you open the door, you can tell the owners take pride in their home. It is spotless, the furniture and beds are so comfortable, and the decor is so tastefully done. The views in the backyard are breathtaking. At low tide, there is an endless variety of sea creatures to watch along the shore. Not to mention the birds diving into the water for fish. Sitting on that dock washes all your worries away. We did the typical touristy things in the area...Busch Gardens, Water Country, Jamestown. Yorktown is an adorable little town close by that we enjoyed going to in the evening. Great sunsets, restaurants, and just fun to sit along the boardwalk and people watch. But honestly, we couldn't wait to come back to our rental home each night. We actually contacted Ashley to stay another night because we just wanted more time to just hang out and enjoy the pool and dock. And Ashley was a joy to work with! We've read some reviews about the water, and yes, its not the best tasting water. But it seems to us that it is just common sense to bring your own water to drink when travelling out of your own State. And the Food Lion is only a few minutes away. Already missing the chickens, the views, and the peace and serenity of Fun in the Sun!
Had an awesome stay here! The property is beautiful, we loved being away from the hustle and bustle of town but yet not being too far out. The house is so cute and cozy! Will most definitely be returning!
Last minute booking so we didn't have a lot of options. Loved the beachy theme. Loved the random chickens that showed up. Nice and private.
The water pressure sucked. The water taste sucked even just for making coffee. The pool was great until the deer flies and Mosquitos ate us alive. Then it wasn't worth it. The master bedroom had a major unexpected flaw. The homemade lighthouse down the road shone right in the window ALL NIGHT. The beds were not that comfortable which was surprising given all the positive reviews on them. The place smelled stale and smokey. One downside for families: only one bathroom. The was a con even just for me and my husband.
