Overview

About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 12-14)

2 Master Suites-one on main floor and one on lower level. Lower level suite has a separate kitchen and private entrance.

2 Full Back Decks. Eating area on top deck providing excellent lake view year round. Hardwood and tile floors throughout the home with the exception of carpet only in the bedrooms. Private and quite property with large open living area great for family gatherings or vacations. Firepit and benches available. All bedrooms have TVs.

The home does not have many curtains as the house sits at an angle on the lake and was built to enjoy the beautiful Lake Cumberland view. Privacy has not been an issue in staying at the home for our past guests. Lee's Ford Marina is the nearest marina to the home. There is not a private boat dock at the home as the water level is 70-90 feet below the property depending on lake water level. Most private homes on Lake Cumberland do not have private docks. There is a very nice boat ramp with ample parking less than 3 miles from the house.

About Stacia Lawrence

We currently live in Pompano Beach, Florida. We make several trips a year back to Somerset to enjoy the home and the lake. We only own this one property and we are not a real estate company so if you have any additional questions please feel free to email or call.

Stacia Lawrence purchased this house in 2003

Why Stacia Lawrence chose Lake Cumberland

The house is very open and a great environment for small or large family gatherings. The open floor plan makes it easy for everyone to socialize and experience each other while cooking, playing games, and sitting on the decks. If you just want some time alone, each bedroom is equipped with a television so you can close the door and have quiet time.

Our family lived in the house until our children went away to college and we feel that the home should now be enjoyed by others and not be empty. Some of the best times of our lives were in this home!!

What makes this house unique

The view of the lake is wonderful. You can see down both sides of the lake from the upper deck along with viewing the boats, skiing, wakeboarding, and other water activities.

BEAUTIFUL HOME, PLENTY OF ROOM

  • 5 of 5

WE ENJOYED OUR STAY. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE THERE WITH TWO ADULT SONS, THEIR WIVES, AND THEIR CHILDREN. THERE WAS PLENTY OF ROOM FOR ALL TO HAVE PRIVACY. WE HAVE ALREADY DISCUSSED COMING BACK NEXT YEAR.

Tranquility and relaxation

  • 5 of 5

Stayed in Stacia's home in April for a management retreat with 4 colleagues. The house is roomy and inviting. It had everything we needed, including Wi-Fi, plenty of space for us to do team building exercises, games, and a peaceful setting to unwind when we weren't working. I enjoyed waking up early and having breakfast on the deck while listening to the waterfall. The location of the home is perfect, right on Lake Cumberland and about 20 minutes from Kroger (grocery store), about an hour drive from various attractions, including Mammoth Cave and Cumberland Falls. I recommend renting a pontoon boat at the marina nearby and taking a relaxing boat ride over to the waterfall. Stacia and Kyle were wonderful hosts, very attentive. Thank you both for taking good care of us during our stay!

Absolutely stunning house with an awesome view 5 stars for a reason

  • 5 of 5

How do I start, the week was simply amazing. From the time I got there the trip exceeded even my high expectations. The house was absolutely gorgeous and Stacia happily answered all my questions. The house comfortably fit 12 people like advertised. All the rooms were very roomy and the house itself felt very homie. All in all I couldn't ask for a better vacation or place to live for my vacation. Definitely 5 stars to not only the house but Stacia as well.

Clean, comfortable and good view

  • 5 of 5

Overall it is a very delightful and comfortable place to stay. We have made the owner aware of a couple of needed repairs and items not stocked that we specifically asked about. In addition, we could not find a large frying pan anywhere so we cooked breakfast in batches and stages with 1 small one. It appears a non cook set up the kitchen items. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and while there is no lake access it was beautiful. The area is having a drought so we never detected the Falling Waters. We would stay there again as the home was well suited for a 5 friend get together.

Good Location, plenty of room. Lots of fun

  • 4 of 5

There were 10 of us that spent 4 nights at this propery in late September - 7 adults and 3 children ages 6, 3 and 1. We had a great time overall. The house had plenty of room for everyone and was neat and clean. Stacia and Kyle responded quickly the 2 times we had to call. They were both friendly and easy to work with. We did find the kitchen lacking in basic pots and pans. We rented a pontoon boat one day and a speed boat another day. Lee’s Ford Marina is nearby. I would recommend this rental to others.

Car: recommended

Located on beautiful Lake Cumberland. The lake offers many activities such as boating, skiing, tubing, and swimming. Enjoy a journey back in time to the Civil War while visiting Mill Springs Battlefield and National Cemetery. Late spring to early fall visit the Mill Springs Grist Mill located only 18 miles away providing a perfect place for a relaxing day to enjoy a picnic while checking out the mill and enjoying a beautiful walk. Cumberland Falls is a short drive away and well worth the trip!

Take a 2 hour drive and spend the day at Mammoth Cave or the Kentucky Horse Park. Extend your drive to 3 hours and experience Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge or take in Dollywood.
