I agree with the other reviewers....I wish I could give 6 STARS! The moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by how beautiful and immaculate this luxury home is. We were impressed by how fully stocked this home is. I'm not just referring to the awesome kitchen either. From the top of the line bath products to the little extras. Every little detail was thoughtfully placed and fully appreciated. Thank you, Barbara for an amazing experience!
We had a WONDERFUL time. Thanks so much for the decision to open up your home for renters. Over the long weekend, we had much laughter, camaraderie and deep discussion and the success of the weekend has a lot to do with the beautiful setting. Also, thank you for the ice cream, fully stocked kitchen and the Valentine's Day basket...that was classy! We scheduled this weekend in February so we could be buried in snow. Instead, we had summer-like weather; your home was so terrific, we didn't mind!
The last several years our family of 5 has spent Thanksgiving Holidays in Big Bear. This past Thanksgiving stay was the best and most memorable because of Barbara's beautiful accommodations. Everything was pristine, the great room with gorgeous fireplace is so beautifully you really do not want to leave. Every amenity is offered and the location is in an exclusive, secluded neighborhood. Plenty of walking areas around the home and the external property, backyard, quaint birdhouses and bridges, were all lovely and truly represent the pride of ownership Barbara and her family have in their Full Log Luxury Home.
6 stars doesn't give it the acclaim it deserves. Thank you Barbara for sharing your home it was a beautiful and happy holiday for all my family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
All I can say is Thank You! Your home is beautiful and so inviting and cozy! We all had a terrific time inside and out. Fantastic Fall Weather in the yard playing bocci ball and horseshoes, then game nights all the while watching football and listening to music. The amazing kitchen was so accommodating and made preparing our meals so fun. We would love to come back for another peaceful and playful annual girls weekend in Big Bear! Thank you again.
Every year the women in our family (ages 80 to 25) gather from around the country for an extended "Girls Weekend", enjoying tequila shots and creating memories. This year we were so lucky to find this mountain home.
The open layout was perfect, from the incredibly beautiful stone fireplace in the living area through the dining to a professional working kitchen. The more 'mature' girls of our family shared the downstairs master, oh so beautiful. The upstairs landing provided fun with a bar and pool table game area. And games we played! We took full advantage of the perfect weather with horseshoes and then card games on the patio deck. When the afternoon chill set in, the fun continued inside. There was truly no need to drive anywhere.
I can’t add to the description above, all I can say is its true…and more! If you’ve not experienced the mountains in the summer and fall, you’re missing out.
We have been hitting the slopes in Big Bear for the past 17 years. We are used to staying at the base of the mountain and skiing in and out. The house was not that far from the slopes, however getting in the car, finding parking and waiting for all of us to drive back home was inconvenient, but not a deal breaker. The house was amazing. The interior logs, really confortable beds and furniture made our stay great. We would for sure book this house again, and would like to see it in the summer.
Outdoor enthusiast's dream. Hiking, skiing/snowboarding, sledding, fishing, water sport's all within 20 minutes of the house.
