Cute, quiet & conveniently located home with an attentive owner & caretaker.
We had a wonderful stay at this conveniently located home. It was close enough to have easy access to the hubbub of Nantucket, but far enough away to have the peace and quiet afforded by the Island. Just off the Surfside bike path, it is walkable to Stop & Shop, a coffee shop, "The Box", and bike rentals. The house provided enough space for six of us without feeling overcrowded. We grilled on the back deck, did a load of laundry, and took full advantage of the outdoor shower. Armand was so attentive, responding almost immediately via text or phone to any questions we had about the amenities on and off the property in a matter of minutes both before and after our arrival. This home is also less than a five minute walk to two different bus stops, one of which includes the Mid-Island Loop, which since we were without a car, let us leave our bikes at home, save on taxis/Uber and easily move between center of town and the house at night for dinner, drinks and the like for $1/ride. So super convenient. The only downside of the property is that the circulation isn't great despite opening windows & screen doors and running fans. Some areas can get hot or stuffy, so depending on the weather, this could be a problem for some. We were out of the house enjoying the island so it wasn't a big deal for us. On a side note, if you're without a car, there is a very small fee to have the garbage taken to the municipal garbage lot. All and all, our group couldn't have asked for a more affordable, conveniently accessible, clean, safe property with an honest, reliable owner.
Great house in a convenient location
My family and I had a great time, this is a wonderful house very convenient to the bike paths and beaches and quite near town. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips.
Christmas Stroll Weekend
We visited Nantucket for Christmas Stroll weekend and had a great time. Armand, the homeowner, was very helpful and accommodating. You can easily bike to town or it's a little over a mile walk. We decided to rent a car because of the time of year and so that we could show the entire island to my wife's parents.
This is a Great home. Neat & clean. Armand the owner was very helpful and always available
Beautiful and convenient!
This home is very well kept, and extremely comfortable. My boys loved the bunk room off the deck- it was like their own private wing. It was an easy bike ride to town for groceries, and also a quick walk to the Wave stops! The beach was a 15 minute bike ride, and Surfside is the most popular and most beautiful beach on the island, in my opinion. Armand, the homeowner, is very helpful, and so accommodating. We had an unforgettable week!
This cozy home is a perfect distance between town and the beach--both walkable within 30 minutes! A bike path brings you all the way to Surfside Beach, the most popular beach on the island. Miacomet Beach and Cisco Beach are also within comfortable biking distance, as is Cisco Brewery and Bartlett Farm. A brief jaunt brings you right to the top of Main Street. The elementary school is directly across the street from MacLean Lane, and there are two great playgrounds and wonderful playing fields for your children to enjoy!
