Overview

About the property

One-level 3 bedroom home with PRIVATE, heated pool, just steps to the beach

STYLE, EASE, and COMFORT -- This one-level (NO STAIRS) duplex home, was completely redone in 2011, and just "refreshed" in 2016. You'll enjoy the “beachy” theme, an updated, well-equipped kitchen (dishwasher, stainless steel appliances and granite counters), and a washer/dryer so you can pack light. The King Master Bedroom (with en suite bathroom), Queen Guest Room, and Twin Bedroom provide comfortable sleeping for 6 guests.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION -- With less than a 2 minute walk to the white sand beaches of the Gulf and just a short walk to Publix, drugstores, restaurants, and the Free Trolley stops, you will find everything you might need without ever having to get in a car (which would be parked in one of 3 off-street parking places).

NEED A BEACH BREAK? -- Relax in the fenced-in, private backyard with your own (not shared) heated pool. The waterfall, swim-up seating area, and sun-shelf wading area add to the ambiance of the lushly landscaped backyard, with gas grill and outdoor patio seating.

FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT -- You’ll be entertained and connected with flat-screen TVs in the living area and all 3 bedrooms, DVD player, and Wi-Fi. The private garage stores your beach cart, beach umbrella and sand toys, as well as 2 bicycles for your island adventures.

About Linda Carmon

We’re just two lifelong New Englanders who, after 45 years of owning a family business and raising 4 children, are looking forward to a time when we can fully enjoy the blessings of family, health, and resources that God has given us, and do that in a little piece of His paradise. We love every season on AMI, so we come down as often as possible, but hope to become true “snowbirds” in a few years.

Linda Carmon purchased this house in 2012

Why Linda Carmon chose Anna Maria Island

Parents of 4 sons, and grandparents of six beautiful granddaughters, we wanted a place to lure everyone away for lasting family memories. Like most people, we fell in love with Anna Maria Island on our first visit, and by the second, we were looking for our own home. We actually have two homes so we can spread out when we’re all together, and Palms Beach House West is perfect for one of our son's family of five. The total family gatherings are rare, so in the meantime, we enjoy sharing this great vacation retreat with other families and couples visiting AMI.

What makes this house unique

Location, location, location – literally steps (200) from the beautiful Gulf beach and easy walking distance to Publix, drugstores, and restaurants. From the nearby Free Trolley stop, you can cover the entire island, from Bean Point in Anna Maria to Coquina Beach, enjoying the unique character of each section of the island.

Perfect location for the beach

  • 5 of 5

We came for a week with our three young children and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. It takes no time to get to the beach (a quick short walk), so we didn't have to take a car (i.e. buckle everyone into carseats to go). Plus we could run "home" whenever someone needed to use the restroom. The beach was beautiful and quiet and completely relaxing. Linda provided beach toys and water items and our kids spent hours making animals in the sand and playing out in the water. The house was perfect as well. It was very clean. The beds were nice. We especially appreciated the beach towels that were provided. We felt completely safe in the neighborhood. The pool was a huge hit and it was key that the water was heated because we went in February and the air could be cool at times. The size and depth were great for the ages of our kids (all under 8). We plan to return because it was such an enjoyable place to vacation.

It is a townhome style place, which means there's a shared wall with another neighboring unit. Not an issue for us because the pool was still private.

Absolutely wonderful.

There is not one thing overlooked or forgotten in this piece of paradise. Perfectly located within walking distance of the beach and/or Publix. If you're only desire is tranquility, the gorgeous pool is total serenity. Thank you Linda for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home.

Very impressed

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here. You will, too! It's better than the pictures. The pool and grounds are a lush oasis. My kids loved the table in the pool and the water fountain. Very close to the beach. We had no problems with the house (an earlier commenter mentioned the wifi not working, but it worked well for us). Will most likely return! (Note, there are a few plastic beer glasses and "hurricane" glasses from the Anna Maria Cafe down the street on the beach. Those cups get you discounted refills! A good, walkable place to grab a drink and watch the sunset.)

Great place...great vacation!

  • 4 of 5

We were lucky enough to have perfect weather all week - what a great location, could walk to the beach, Publix, CVS, and a handful of restaurants. Trolley was great too.

Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 were a couple of very minor issues that Linda handled immediately. AC quit working and was repaired within a couple of hours. And never did get the Wi-Fi to work (but never told Linda, as the instructions said to call the internet company, which I had no desire to do on vacation).

House was clean, pool was great, kitchen was very well equipped. Would recommend this house! Thanks for sharing it!
