Park City is also home to the Sundance Film Festival, 8 PGA rated golf courses, epic mountain biking & hiking trails, shopping, night life, restaurants, and many summer concerts. Yes, Park City has ski trails for every skill level. But we also have many less expected diversions. Here you can experience a whole range of winter activities from winter fly-fishing trips, hot-air ballooning to snowmobiling to sleigh rides, and snow tubing.

The elevator was the best for me as I got the suite on the 3rd floor and couldn't manage 3 flights of stairs. We quickly learned that the kids could not ride the elevator without an adult present. A 2 1/2 year old could push the button to get into the elevator, but once inside couldn't reach the buttons to do anything else. We found the sobbing child by calling the elevator to the ground floor. The teens loved the pool table, hot tub and sauna. The beautiful park just two short blocks away was great for our little ones, and our family photo shoot.
The downside for us was when we arrived the ground floor windows were wide open, and there were no screens. Any of our toddlers could have tumbled out the window to the street level. Not all the fans in the bedrooms were in working order. The person greeting us did only a perfunctory tour of the facilities, and had to be called back to clean the hot tub and bar-b-que area. Incidentally, half was through grilling dinner the propane ran out and had to finish the tri-tip in the oven. One other disappointment was the photo on Air BnB, showed empty spaces around the lodge. It was actually built up wall-to-wall with other tall buildings just feet from the lodge. No space around the lodge at all.
The Park City Epic Lodge is the best possible family or corporate retreat imaginable. We arrived 40 minutes after departing the Salt Lake City airport and were greeted by Utopian guest services team, who gave us a tour of the property and Park City Mountain Resort, including the restaurants, lifts, and shops at the base of the mountain, which are only a few buildings away from the property. The lodge has eleven beautifully furnished and appointed bedrooms, sleeping up to twenty-eight, and the main kitchen, great room, gym, ski room are sized and stocked accordingly. The crowd on hand created a lot of dishes and laundry, but housekeeping kept up with it flawlessly. Loved everything about it. Clean property, great hosts, professionally managed. I will be back, and I highly recommend it.
Instead of finding a hotel to accommodate our large group for my wedding, i decided to look into vacation rentals - best decision!! All the creature comforts of having your own place plus the option to spend time alone in the room or gather on the first floor! We had a fabulous experience - super minor hiccups (coffee machine didn't work & the replacement did not either // I was told a few months before the construction outside would be done and it was not) Utopian was very accommodating & we will definitely use their services again in the future. The lodge itself is absolutely incredible!!!! Fantastic location - we had 22 people and we fit very comfortably. It was so much better staying all together over a hotel.
I and my guest had a 5 star experience staying at the Park City Epic Lodge. We walked everywhere we went as the location was centrally located. We were treated like family and the accommodations were first rate! We will most definitely use Utopian as our Vacation company of choice and will recommend your services to all our family and friends. What a wondrous place Park City is! We will be back this winter to be sure!
We had the pleasure of renting the Epic Lodge when our family visited Park City, Memorial Day weekend. There were 15 of us and we could not have been more comfortable. The house is very well laid out (individual suites, large kitchen with 2 living areas, one with a pool table, that accommodates everyone), beautifully furnished and provides everything a large group needs, including a perfect location at the base of the mountain.
The management company Utopian Luxury Vacation Homes was exceptional. Lani answered every question and provided recommendations for transportation from the airport, restaurants, personal chief (we used to provide a drop off meal for our first night), grocery delivery services and activities. We would rent from this company again and hope to return to this house.
We scheduled a family reunion in a place that would be convenient for all the family to travel to. We have grandchildren ranging from 8 months to 18 yrs so we wanted a place that had good accessibility to lots of activities for young children, teens and adults. This property has an incredible location near the base of the Park City Mountain Resort. Activities such as the Alpine slide, zip line, coaster, toddler rides, hiking, and incredible mountain biking were all the things we were able to enjoy during our stay. This property is also located about 2 blocks from a city park that the kids love going to. We were also just a short walk away from main street and went on Sunday to enjoy "Park Silly." Close by was the Park City shuttle bus that takes you all over Park City and it's free!
The layout of this property allowed us all to have our own private space but also to enjoy our family in the kitchen, dining and the two family room areas. The kitchen was large with ample space to cook on two nice gas stoves, refrigerate our food in two fridges and clean up with two dishwashers. A perfect kitchen. The bedrooms all had great beds, linens and pillows. Most of the bedrooms had a TV, shower and tub and space to retreat to if you needed some quite time.
Overall, our entire family really enjoyed our experience there and would highly recommend it for a summer family vacation. I'm sure it would be even more wonderful for the ski season but Park City is a great summer resort too!!
