North End Villa Rental Photos and Description

6 Bedroom, 5.5 Bath Best Views In Sayulita Sleeps 12

Located in one of the finest locations in Sayulita, Villa Concordia is truly one of the areas most convenient and tasteful homes. Villa Concordia was featured in the August 2005 vacation issue of California Homes Magazine and was used as the location for the filming of the “Territory Ahead” Clothing Company Catalogue.

Located on Calle Marlin overlooking the charming Plaza, Villa Concordia has unsurpassed views of the Bay Of Sayulita , from the point to the beaches and coves to the North , while having the unusual advantage of being a 2-5 minute walk to the best restaurants, groceries , the beach and surf spots, making it totally unnecessary to have a car. The architecture is in the tropical vernacular of West Coast Mexico’s best coastal homes with thatched palapa roof, curving lines and large open common areas.

The main house is three stories with a large air conditioned kitchen fully equipped with everything necessary to create a gourmet meal. Walk up curving stairs to three large bedrooms all with king size beds with two full bathrooms and one half bath. Enjoy the expansive view from beneath the palapa of the rooftop “mirador” with its own wet bar and half bath.

In addition to the main house there are two additional bedrooms up tiled stairs from the palapa great room, the upstairs, palapa roofed room has a king size bed and the downstairs bedroom has two full beds and it’s own private patio with a detached separate bathroom and shower. In addition there is a separate apartment with full bath, small refrigerator and a full bed. All bedrooms are air conditioned. We have daily maid service and gardener every day but Sunday.

For your convenience we have a laundry area with washer and dryer, satellite television is available in the Kitchen sala with English and Spanish language programming. The Villa also has internet access through wi-fi connection if you bring your mobile device.

We have recently completed an infinity edge swimming pool off the main palapa great room and next to the kitchen with amazing view where one may soak while watching the fisherman coming and going in their “pangas"check out the action at the surf break or enjoy the annual migration of the whales. We have the fastest wifi in Sayulita with enough band width to stream movies or television a rarity in Sayulita.

We have cleaning, maid and gardening service 6 days a week, we are one of the few rental locations in Sayulita to offer this level of cleaning staff all included at no extra fee.

Villa Concordia is a great choice for a large family or several couples.

Heart of Town

  • 3 of 5

The location is very convenient to the heart of town and the beach. We loved going back and forth to town for morning coffee or a short shopping trip but you do get the late night noise. We comfortably housed 11 adults. The property sits on the short steep hill so there are lots of stairs- not recommended for children, elderly, or disabled (we should have noticed this and is the main reason for my 3 stars). We spent a lot of family time in the main palapa- would recommend putting a fan in that ceiling.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, yes unfortunately Sayulita can be noisy at night particularly certain times of year, at other times not at all, this is the nature of the area and occurs everywhere in town. I'm sorry that you didn't mention a member of your group that had mobility issues, I would have been more than happy to discuss this with you and work on solutions. Warmest Regards, Michael

Beautiful, but LOUD!

  • 4 of 5

We had a group of 10 for the week of Christmas and everyone agreed that the Villa Concordia was beautiful. The rooms are all nice (casita looks dated) and the palapa great room is truly what makes this villa so special. A few words of warning: There are a lot of stairs! It is 200 stairs from the street entrance to the top bedroom, and if you want to go to the highest patio, you have to back-track down and around and up even more stairs. The majority of these stairs do not have a railing, there are open staircases where a small child could easily fall a level. I would be really hesitant to bring anyone under 6...too many dangerous spots. Everyone was surprised at the number of stairs, and all the rooms sort of branch off of the main casita, so there is no avoiding them. Secondly, it is really loud. I recognize that it was Christmas week, but you can hear anything happening in the plaza, in any of the others MANY villas around, and especially from a popular bar that is open until 2:00 am every night! The bar is straight down the hill, about 2 blocks and the sound (especially the drums) go straight up the hill and into every bedroom (except for 1). We had people nearly mutiny after the first night of ear-pounding noise. (note, ear plugs help but do not eliminate this problem). Most of the villa had that musty damp smell that is common with buildings so near the water, and there was visible mold in the kitchen. My last comment is that the owner will tell you to rent golf carts because the hill is steep and very uneven with cobblestones, etc. Yes, that is all true. However, the business that he recommends will force you to rent enough arts so that every member of your group can fit into a cart. I understand this for liability reasons, (they don't want 6 people crammed into a cart for 4), but most of our group was 24-36 and preferred to walk down. Parking can be tricky, so we rented 2 carts (a 4-person and a 6-person) and basically, only 3 of us used them. It was an expensive waste of cash. Having said that, I was one of 3 using the carts and I really appreciated having it and I thought it was fun to drive around. Maybe another rental company in town would be more flexible. We felt a bit railroaded.

The villa manager and maid were fabulous. We had 2 cooked (catered) meals and were the best nights of the week! Great food! Overall, this place is super convenient, but the proximity means you are going to hear more. I loved Sayulita and will definitely return!

Owner's Response: I'm sorry you were annoyed with the noise, the Christmas week and Easter week are the most crowded weeks of the year. And with the holiday revelers in the plaza and all over town, Christmas week is not only loud in Sayulita but also in almost every beach town in Mexico. Some people come for the action and many people including myself find it annoying at times. If you are very sensitive to noise it is probably not a great time of year to be in Sayulita. I'm sorry you had rented 2 golf carts and only needed one, in the future please just tell Omar the Property Manager you want to return one of the carts and he will be happy to speak to the golf cart rental company and return the cart for you and get a refund. We make no commission from the golf car company and help set up rentals as a convenience to our guests. Omar mentioned that you were very nice guests and enjoyed having you at Villa Concordia.

Incredible stay in the perfect Sayulita house

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough wonderful things about my stay in Sayulita at Villa Concordia. I went down with my whole extended family, 9 of us total and we had plenty of room to enjoy ourselves all together or have downtime on our own in either our rooms or the many great places to relax in the house.

The Villa is in the perfect location, walking distance to everything and because it's situated on the hill with multiple floors, has outstanding views. Each room is unique with beautiful decorations and GREAT air conditioning. We went during the hot and humid season and being able to sleep each night in a cool room was perfect. Having the house cleaned each morning was a great bonus, and allowed us to spend more time out and about in Sayulita enjoying ourselves.

On a final note, Omar, the property manager, is an absolutely incredible human being. He is so helpful and kind, and went out of his way tracking down information and items for us on the trip. Make sure to get to know him and you'll be thankful.

Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Sayulita at it's finest!

  • 5 of 5

We had a large group on this trip to Sayulita. We have stayed in several

Places here and this is by far the most spectacular. Everyone in our group was thrilled with the space and incredible views. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need and more, and there are many great restaurants a short walk from the house if you prefer.

The owner, Michael provides a complete explanation of what to expect from your visit if you are a first timer. Omar, the manager was especially helpful when transportation issues occurred due to canceled flights. EVERYTHING was taken care of. This is definitely the best place we could have picked for our large group!

Amazing house-amazing service-amazing town

  • 5 of 5

Our far-flung family wanted to get together for a January holiday and selected Sayulita as a great spot for surfing, food and relaxing. Villa Concordia was the ideal house for us. As artists and designers, we appreciated the attention to the large and small details that combine to create a retreat that is only steps from the charming plaza in town.

Michael is a gracious host with plenty of helpful advice on places around town. Omar, the property manager, is available 24/7 to assist with any issue, not that we had any. The house is well-equipped and modern in every aspect. But Omar gave us tips on good places to eat and arranged a fabulous meal at the house presented by local ladies.

The four couples staying at the Villa Concordia each had private accommodations that surpass a boutique hotel. It was quiet at night and the temperature was ideal for sleeping. In the daytime, the public spaces were shady and cool, the wifi was fast and the kitchen was luxurious,

I honestly cannot think of one thing that was a problem or a bummer about this gorgeous home. I would not consider even looking at other properties in Sayullita since this one is ideally located.
