Why Stephen Massoni chose Indian Lake

Welcome to our labor of love in the Adirondacks! Indian Lake is a special place for me as I have great memories of all the fun we had as kids on our Summer vacations in Indian Lake. I never thought I would return years later and be able to build my own place- it truly was and is a labor of love.

What makes this house unique

It's an "Adirondack Feeling". It could be the serenity or the adventure, or a little of both. That's the beauty of Indian Lake; perfectly located for visitors to explore the area and make their own Adirondack vacation memories.

Indian Lake is the ideal Adirondack vacation spot to enjoy the serenity and beauty of nature as well as be centrally located to all the activities and amusements the area has to offer, and our home is perfectly located to be your hub to all your Adirondack adventures. Each season brings a new adventure: whitewater rafting, kayaking, boating, hiking, snowmobiling, skiing, ice-skating – your choice of outdoor activities is endless. The area offers all kinds of activities and attractions for all seasons.

The simple pleasure of enjoying a cup of coffee on the front porch as the sun rises over the tops of the pine trees, to me that is always a perfect way to begin my Adirondack day.

Great location close to Gore Mountain. The house is even lovelier that the pictures!

The house was spotless and the bathrooms are equipped w everything you need from shampoo to Advil. Great bedrooms w an extra loft that can fit another 4 people. Kitchen has all the bells and whistles if you plan on making dinner at home. Only tip is if your coming in snowy weather then you should know it’s a private road and doesn’t get plowed. We had to shovel the drive way but being from the Northeast this wasn’t out of the ordinary. The house is amazing will def be returning! Highly recommend !

Recently built cabin with quality features was all we had hoped for.

  • 4 of 5

The sizable front porch was a welcoming entry point to this well thought out home. True it resembles a cabin as it should-you're in the Adirondacks, but the inside has everything your own home would have. Hot water heat, plenty of natural wood walls and ceilings, 2 full baths (1 a master), first floor mudroom with laundry, hardwood floors, and a good size foyer with a bench to set your belongings set this house apart from the rest. 1 car attached garage is a plus. The fireplace was an ease to use, with cut and stacked dry wood available for the renters to use. The eat in kitchen was large enough for everyone to congregate and eat in, and had all the necessary equipment. No dishwasher, but that didn't bother our group. Plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, etc in stock, and the things you think you need to don't have to. Card/Game table, puzzles, several board games, outdoor chairs, X country skiis, laundry soap, cooking oil, pretty much everything was on hand. Dish TV with all channels available was very nice. The deck off the rear with both a gas grill and charcoal grill comes in handy in any season. Wooded back yard with no neighbors behind was a plus. Indian Lake proper has enough services to get by, and the larger Village of Speculator with Oak Mountain is 30 mins away with many shops and restaurants. Only draw back was the second bedroom mattresses for the bed and futon were rather hard. Overall, highly recommended...the pictures don't really do justice to this home.

Nice, clean and inviting house 25mins from Gore

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here over President's day weekend to ski at Gore. It's a lovely house! Clean, well maintained and well stocked. We had everything we needed and more. The owners were sweet enough to leave us a bottle of wine and local honey as a thank you. My kids went gaga over the loft:) Thank you for a hassle free rental. We hope to be back soon!

Spacious, comfortable, well-stocked home in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at this comfy home. The weather was less than ideal but we so enjoyed cooking, playing games, hanging out by the fireplace and even on the porch. The street is properly named as the property is surrounded by woods and deer. We would definitely return and highly recommend this stunning log home

Our stay in Indian Lake

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I and our dog stayed at the Massoni's house near Indian Lake for a fortnight. We found the Massonis hospitable and informative. We found the house terrific for our purposes, which were to explore the area; however, if we had to spend more time indoors, we think it would have been just fine for that too. The owners supplied the things they said they'd supply--this made planning for our visit pretty easy. We did catch the hot/cool weather change--we arrived with mid 90s temps and needed the heat two days later--and, because of the owners' instructions, we found making the adjustments was painless. Should we return anytime soon to the ADK we'd consider ourselves fortunate to stay here again.
