About the property

3 bedroom, 2 bathroom walk into RMNP along the Big Thomson River

Estes Valley Vacation Home Operating Permit License #6022

**We manage our own rentals at AspenHaus Cabin and are not associated with Aspen Brook Vacation Homes** Mark and Sue, Owners

AspenHaus Cabin is situated in a parklike setting with shared access to the Big Thompson River. From our cozy mountain home it is just a short walk into the Rocky Mountain National Park, 1/2 mile to the YMCA of the Rockies, 2 miles to the Beaver Meadows entrance of RMNP and 3.5 miles to the town center. Or simply leave your car at our home and take the FREE Estes Park Summer shuttle from a stop located within 1/4 mile of AspenHaus Cabin!!

And the AspenHaus Cabin is right down the road from AspenHaus Lodge... purchased in January 2013 we have freshly updated it to provide you with the same ultimate Rocky Mountain experience! Since buying the cabin we have updated the kitchen, painted the entire interior, re-finished the pine floors, had new carpet installed throughout, purchased new furniture for the great room as well as other mountain cabin furnishings, installed gas logs, a new Weber natural gas grill for the deck, updated lighting and stained/painted the exterior deck and trim. Ready-set-go!

The main level vaulted great room is an ideal gathering space with a floor-to-ceiling Colorado moss rock fireplace in a warm and inviting living room setting, an adjoining fully equipped kitchen and dining room area. Picture windows all around...no artwork needed on these walls!

Step out on the deck to enjoy the sounds of the Big Thompson River, just a stone's throw-away; and sneak a peek of Flattop Mountain and Hallett through aspen groves and pine trees... you can take it all in while having your morning coffee, an evening glass of wine or cooking dinner on the grill. And while you are there be sure to say 'hey' to our frequent visitors including elk and wild turkeys!

The main floor bedroom has a king sized bed with an adjoining full bath. Also on the main floor is an off-kitchen laundry and access to the one car attached garage.

The second level of AspenHaus Cabin has two vaulted ceiling bedrooms (a king bed in one and 2 twins in the other); connected by a loft hallway and jack-and-jill bathroom with a separate (double) sink area.

As our guest you will enjoy access to shared common fishing, picnic and playground areas along the Big Thompson river... all within sight of AspenHaus Cabin.

Take a short woodsy walk along the Big Thompson River and emerge to expansive views of Moraine Park. Visit the museum, catch the shuttle to other RMNP destinations or continue your hike on to Cub Lake where you will have extraordinary opportunities to view herds of elk along the way.

Need we go on... our family thinks that AspenHaus Cabin is perfect in every way... not just another vacation rental but our perfect mountain cabin!

"It's not just a transaction...for us it's our passion!"

We are also diehard fans of the St. Louis Cardinals & Blues, Buffalo Bills & Sabres, world cup soccer, Pittsburgh Penguins (some of us!), VT Hokies and the Rocky Mountains!

Why Mark and Sue Werder chose Aspen Brook

We have spent many of our summer vacations visiting national parks and the RMNP is our hands-down favorite! We purchased our first home in this location (AspenHaus Lodge) in 2010. AspenHaus Cabin is an even cozier version located just right down the road!

What makes this house unique

Walk directly into the RMNP or access the shuttle bus by foot to avoid traffic and delays!

Beautiful home, well supplied!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was beautiful, and the Werders were wonderful hosts. We were kept well informed leading up to our visit, as well as during. Our questions were always answered promptly. We enjoyed the proximity to RMNP and enjoyed seeing Elk near the cabin even as close as the front yard. We will be staying here again!

We LOVE AspenHaus Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We can't begin to write enough good things about our stay at AspenHaus Cabin! The owners, Sue and Mark, are fantastic to work with. They are responsive, kind, and attentive to all details and making sure you have a wonderful stay. The location truly can't be beat! We love that you can hike into RMNP right from the cabin and that it is in a beautiful and peaceful location. The cabin is perfectly stocked with everyone you could need, so you can relax from the moment you arrive. Additionally, it is decorated beautifully, so you'll feel at home, and (in my opinion) it's exactly as a cabin in the mountains should feel! This was not our first stay at AspenHaus Cabin, and will definitely not be our last! We highly recommend it!

Spectacular place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Words can't even describe how fabulous our experience was staying at Aspen Haus Cabin! Having come to Estes Park for over 40+ years, I've stayed many places but Aspen Haus tops the list. Sue and Mark are wonderful hosts and truly provide an experience that makes you feel like a welcome guest. Aspen Haus Cabin is a beautiful mountain home from the location to the decor to the comfy furniture to an incredibly well stocked kitchen! Their recommendations for local places and activities were spot on and their concern for our safety as we were arriving during wintry conditions was greatly appreciated! We are so happy to have found this place and have already reserved our next vacation at their Aspen Haus Lodge which will accommodate additional family that will be joining us. Many thanks to Sue and Mark for not only treating us as welcome guests but friends too! The Poindexter and Hoffman families

Great place as a home base to visit Rocky Mtn NP!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at AspenHaus Cabin!! The cabin was very clean, excellent condition and well equipped with the basics. Sue provided info/websites for grocery stores, eating places, sights to see, etc. It was such a great help! Very near to the entrance to Rocky Mountain NP in a quiet neighborhood. We will stay there again!!!

Aspen Haus Review

  • 5 of 5

When it says Location, Location, Location - That is exactly what they mean. The area, the neighborhood and home were just fantastic. The home is in a private neighborhood and the scenery is absolutely awesome. The home is far enough from the hustle and bustle of town but you are a very short drive to be in the thick of things in Estes Park or a short drive, or a short hike, to Rocky Mountain National Park. The home is beautifully decorated, the kitchen is well equipped with utensils and dishes (just bring your food if you want to cook). The bed was also very comfortable. The owner of the property was just a phone call away if we needed anything and provides the home visitor with very good general information and instructions. We will definitely put this home at the top of our list to visit again in the future.

Great Place to Stay in Estes Park.

  • 5 of 5

The Cabin was very clean and well stocked with all that we needed for the stay. Sue and Mark were more than responsive, they definitely go all out to see that their guests are happy and have a great stay. Even before we arrived Sue was sending us emails of things to do to improve our stay. We will definitely stay there again it we return to Estes Park.
