**We manage our own rentals at AspenHaus Cabin and are not associated with Aspen Brook Vacation Homes** Mark and Sue, Owners
AspenHaus Cabin is situated in a parklike setting with shared access to the Big Thompson River. From our cozy mountain home it is just a short walk into the Rocky Mountain National Park, 1/2 mile to the YMCA of the Rockies, 2 miles to the Beaver Meadows entrance of RMNP and 3.5 miles to the town center. Or simply leave your car at our home and take the FREE Estes Park Summer shuttle from a stop located within 1/4 mile of AspenHaus Cabin!!
And the AspenHaus Cabin is right down the road from AspenHaus Lodge... purchased in January 2013 we have freshly updated it to provide you with the same ultimate Rocky Mountain experience! Since buying the cabin we have updated the kitchen, painted the entire interior, re-finished the pine floors, had new carpet installed throughout, purchased new furniture for the great room as well as other mountain cabin furnishings, installed gas logs, a new Weber natural gas grill for the deck, updated lighting and stained/painted the exterior deck and trim. Ready-set-go!
The main level vaulted great room is an ideal gathering space with a floor-to-ceiling Colorado moss rock fireplace in a warm and inviting living room setting, an adjoining fully equipped kitchen and dining room area. Picture windows all around...no artwork needed on these walls!
Step out on the deck to enjoy the sounds of the Big Thompson River, just a stone's throw-away; and sneak a peek of Flattop Mountain and Hallett through aspen groves and pine trees... you can take it all in while having your morning coffee, an evening glass of wine or cooking dinner on the grill. And while you are there be sure to say 'hey' to our frequent visitors including elk and wild turkeys!
The main floor bedroom has a king sized bed with an adjoining full bath. Also on the main floor is an off-kitchen laundry and access to the one car attached garage.
The second level of AspenHaus Cabin has two vaulted ceiling bedrooms (a king bed in one and 2 twins in the other); connected by a loft hallway and jack-and-jill bathroom with a separate (double) sink area.
As our guest you will enjoy access to shared common fishing, picnic and playground areas along the Big Thompson river... all within sight of AspenHaus Cabin.
Take a short woodsy walk along the Big Thompson River and emerge to expansive views of Moraine Park. Visit the museum, catch the shuttle to other RMNP destinations or continue your hike on to Cub Lake where you will have extraordinary opportunities to view herds of elk along the way.
Need we go on... our family thinks that AspenHaus Cabin is perfect in every way... not just another vacation rental but our perfect mountain cabin!

LOVED!! Pristine & Cozy
We absolutely loved our stay in this cabin!! Conditions were pristine! This is hard to find in a vacation rental but this cabin met every expectation! From the cleanliness to decor, it’s a lovely and cozy cabin tucked away in a beautiful setting! The owners are very nice and are there to help with any questions or needs.
This was perfect for my family. The house is homey and clean. It's decorated with bears and has a cabin feel. The location is ideal, within minutes of the National Park. Only five minute drive into Estes town, where we ate the best pizza and home made taffy. Owners of the house were easy to contact and helpful. House had everything I needed to cook and keep my family comfortable. We loved it and definitely plan on returning.
Likewise, we think that your family was the perfect family for our cabin! Thanks so much for taking the time to tell others about your stay. We will look forward to your return!! Mark and Sue, Owners
Comfy home away from home!
We have stayed at this wonderful cabin more than once. It is in the perfect location being just several minutes from Estes Park and the same to Rocky Mountain National Park. It is a quiet and comfy place to come back to after a day in the ‘park’ hiking and spying on the multitude of wildlife or shopping the quaint small shops in town. Mark and Sue will make sure your stay is all you want it to be! Everything you need for a wonderful relaxed vacation is here to enjoy in this beautiful cabin. It is very hard to tear ourselves away from this little slice of heaven when the time comes to head home. So, you know, we will be back yet again! Be sure to enjoy a great Italian meal at Dunraven, right across the road or pick up a pizza at Antonio’s to bring back to the cabin!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice review for AspenHaus Cabin (aka, us!). We appreciate your support and enjoyed meeting you both! We look forward to your return!! Mark and Sue, Owners
Perfect place to stay in Estes Park
This cabin was perfect for our winter vacation in Estes Park. The cabin is in immaculate condition and has all the basic needs for a short or long stay. The living spaces and bedroom sizes were ideal for our group of 5 friends. It's also located very close to Rocky Mountain National Park which was awesome for our day of hiking and exploring - also close to the city for shops and restaurants. Our hosts were great at sending all the information needed for our stay along with plenty of recommendations. They were easily reachable through email or text. I highly recommend considering this cabin next time anyone plans a visit to Estes Park. It was truly wonderful!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for AspenHaus Cabin...we are very happy to hear that you had a 5 star experience!! We really appreciate the "immaculate" part; and will pass on your kind words to our housekeeping crew who take great pride in their work. Thanks again and best! Mark and Sue, Owners
Perfect Thanksgiving vacation
We rented this beautiful cabin to spend Thanksgiving with our adult sons and their wives. With three bedrooms and two large baths, it was the perfect size for six of us. The cabin was extremely clean when we arrived and had even been decorated for Christmas...a special touch that we hadn't expected. It is an easy, beautiful hike from the cabin to Moraine Park in Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Park and the National Park are both a short drive away. We can't wait to return!
Thanks so much for writing such a nice review for AspenHaus! I will be sure to tell our housekeeper about the "extremely clean" part which we know is extremely important; and for which she and her crew take great pride in. We are happy that AspenHaus was able to play a such a nice part in your family's Thanksgiving gathering and will look forward to your next stay!! Mark and Sue, Owners
Beautiful home, well supplied!
The cabin was beautiful, and the Werders were wonderful hosts. We were kept well informed leading up to our visit, as well as during. Our questions were always answered promptly. We enjoyed the proximity to RMNP and enjoyed seeing Elk near the cabin even as close as the front yard. We will be staying here again!
Thank you for your 5 star review!! We love having the elk hang out in our neighborhood; it is such a treat. We will look forward your next visit!! Mark and Sue, Owners
The Rocky Mountain National Park Beaver Meadows entrance is within 2 miles of AspenHaus Cabin. Walk into the RMNP from trailheads which are 1/4 mile away.
