Bedrooms 2
Space 1,100 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Top of the line remodel with a fabulous outside covered porch and game yard.

Theater House is a 100 year old home that has been totally renovated and remodeled in 2017. It is located in the middle of town next to the Bicknell Theater.

There are two private bedrooms with queen beds and a gorgeous bathroom with plenty of storage and a glassed wall shower. The South bedroom is smaller but comfortable with a large closet. A chest of drawers is located inside the closet. The views from the windows are wonderful. The North bedroom is larger with French doors leading to the back patio. It also has a large closet with chest of drawers inside.

A convenient mudroom is located at the back entry with full size washer and dryer, coat racks and bench along with a handy folding area.

The kitchen is brand new with lots of storage, amenities, pots and pans, oven cookware, utensils, glassware, dishwasher, garbage disposal, oven, cooktop and refrigerator. The kitchen looks out into the dining and living room areas.

The dining room seats 6. The living room is cozily situated around an electric fireplace and TV. Again, gorgeous views from the windows.

The back porch is ready for a party or relaxation. Tables, chairs and more grace this wonderful space located on the shady side of Theater House.

***City ordinance requires off street parking. There is plenty of room on the North side for parking. Entrance is behind The Bicknell Theater via a gravel easement.

Our landscaping is a work in progress. Our future plans include a dry garden at the back of the lot and more shrubs/flowers along the turf. Also 1-3 raised beds with flowers and herbs for your use.

We have installed artificial turf to cut down on water and maintenance use. We have installed a permanent croquet court for your use - it is ready to go at any time. A horse shoe court is now in progress and should be ready by June 21, 2017.

Great House !

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house for visiting Capitol Reef National Park. Everything is brand new !

I've never before had a kitchen so well stocked for a vacation rental. Laura and Nancy

have decorated the house so cute. One day I was

under the weather and had to stay in....I just cozied up on the couch in front of the electric fireplace. I was so glad I wasn't staying in a hotel room. Bicknell is a nice quiet little town not too far from Capitol Reef and the drive there is almost prettier than the park.

As advertised. Cute, clean and tastefully decorated.

Perfect for the four of us. Comfortable beds, newly remodeled and updated, and the proximity to Capitol Reef is outstanding. We even made use of the lovely back yard despite the chilly November temps. We would definitely stay here again.

Charming house near Capital Reef

  • 5 of 5

We were very comfortable in this nicely decorated house. Furniture was comfortable, appliances were new & top-of-the-line. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped. We enjoyed a game of croquet in the backyard after returning from Capitol Reef. Location is also good for exploring Hwy 12 & its many sights. Owner is very responsive to any needs. We would stay here again if in the area

Small Town Treat!

  • 5 of 5

Theater House was even better than its photos and description indicated! It was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was a pleasure to use with its ample counters, storage space and natural light. The bathroom's double sinks and ample counters worked wonderfully for two people. We found the bed to be very comfortable as well. The outside area was inviting, but most days we returned from hiking too late in the evening to spend much time there. Being next to the movie theater encouraged us to take in a movie and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the seating and added benefit to staying in this property!

The location was certainly acceptable for visiting the stunning northern section of Capitol Reef National Park. The drive to the park took around 20 minutes and the scenery along the way was lovely. Bicknell is a wonderful alternative to the locations that are adjacent to the park. We would enthusiastically stay in Theater House again and will certainly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely adorable!

  • 5 of 5

This home was absolutely adorable. There were yard games all set-up when we arrived. The house was extremely clean and had everything you needed. There was coffee, tea, and you needed a snack they even had popcorn. If you just want to stay in and cook your dinner they have everything you would need to do so. I don't have one bad thing to say about this home, it was absolutely perfect! Not only was the house amazing, but the management is great too! If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be staying here!
