Top of the line remodel with a fabulous outside covered porch and game yard.
Theater House is a 100 year old home that has been totally renovated and remodeled in 2017. It is located in the middle of town next to the Bicknell Theater.
There are two private bedrooms with queen beds and a gorgeous bathroom with plenty of storage and a glassed wall shower. The South bedroom is smaller but comfortable with a large closet. A chest of drawers is located inside the closet. The views from the windows are wonderful. The North bedroom is larger with French doors leading to the back patio. It also has a large closet with chest of drawers inside.
A convenient mudroom is located at the back entry with full size washer and dryer, coat racks and bench along with a handy folding area.
The kitchen is brand new with lots of storage, amenities, pots and pans, oven cookware, utensils, glassware, dishwasher, garbage disposal, oven, cooktop and refrigerator. The kitchen looks out into the dining and living room areas.
The dining room seats 6. The living room is cozily situated around an electric fireplace and TV. Again, gorgeous views from the windows.
The back porch is ready for a party or relaxation. Tables, chairs and more grace this wonderful space located on the shady side of Theater House.
***City ordinance requires off street parking. There is plenty of room on the North side for parking. Entrance is behind The Bicknell Theater via a gravel easement.
Our landscaping is a work in progress. Our future plans include a dry garden at the back of the lot and more shrubs/flowers along the turf. Also 1-3 raised beds with flowers and herbs for your use.
We have installed artificial turf to cut down on water and maintenance use. We have installed a permanent croquet court for your use - it is ready to go at any time. A horse shoe court is now in progress and should be ready by June 21, 2017.

Wonderful house, close to Capitol Reef and other hiking spots in South-Central Utah
Location is excellent for Capitol Reef and surrounding area. House is restored and equipped perfectly. It is very comfortable for hikers and vacationers of all ages. I would hire the renovators to do my house.
Clean, welcoming, and exactly as pictured
My husband and I (and our two kids - 6 months and 3.5 years) very much enjoyed our stay at the Theater House in Bicknell. The house was very clean and well decorated. We cooked the majority of our meals at the house and the kitchen had everything we needed (and we loved the great quality of the kitchen items). Laura, the property owner, was very responsive and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again and recommend the property to friends.
Thank you for the nice review Brienne! Good to hear you enjoyed yourselves. You left the home in wonderful shape!!!! It was very much aprpreciated. Do come back!!!! Laura
Very comfortable and cozy cottage!
We, my husband and 25 year old daughter and I, really enjoyed our stay at the Theater House for two nights. We spent a few days exploring and hiking at Capitol Reef and surrounding areas of Utah! This was a great location for us. The kitchen had anything we needed, and really enjoyed the delicious coffee cake Laura left us. I also appreciated the sampling of hot teas to choose from!
The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom more than adequate. It was nice to have a few sundries stocked in case we forgot something. Wonderful to be able to do a load of laundry too!
We had some issues with the wifi, but Laura resolved them promptly. We wish it had been
warmer so we could have enjoyed the outside space!
This cozy place is decorated so nice, we just loved it! When we get back in the area, we will be sure to stay here again!
Our favorite hikes in the area were: Hickman's Bridge, The Grand Wash and Cassidy Arch.
And a little further away, the slot canyon hike in Goblin Valley: Little Wild Horse Canyon
Jenni - you are welcome back anytime. We loved hosting you! Thank you for listing your favorite hikes.
We loved the Theater House! It is beautifully decorated and the yard is amazing! We will be back!!
The Theater House was by far our favorite vacation home rental! Everything was perfect!
Thank you Aimee! We loved hosting you. You left the house so nice, we appreciate that. Come back soon!!!! Laura
As advertised. Cute, clean and tastefully decorated.
Perfect for the four of us. Comfortable beds, newly remodeled and updated, and the proximity to Capitol Reef is outstanding. We even made use of the lovely back yard despite the chilly November temps. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you for your review! Glad you enjoyed the backyard. Laura
Great House !
This is a great house for visiting Capitol Reef National Park. Everything is brand new !
I've never before had a kitchen so well stocked for a vacation rental. Laura and Nancy
have decorated the house so cute. One day I was
under the weather and had to stay in....I just cozied up on the couch in front of the electric fireplace. I was so glad I wasn't staying in a hotel room. Bicknell is a nice quiet little town not too far from Capitol Reef and the drive there is almost prettier than the park.
Thank you for taking the time to write this sweet review Karen. The drive to the park is indeed stunning.
Sorry to hear you were under the weather. Hope you are feeling better and enjoying the rest of your travels.
There are fun ATV trails along the nearby Great Western Trail. Plenty of mountain bike and hiking trails just out of town.
