Located in the historic part of Avignon, next door to the Popes Palace, charming and comfortable apartment with a private courtyard.
Located on the ground floor of a small building, it has a sitting room, a total equipped kitchenette, a bedroom, a bathroom with shower and separated toilet.
Museums, restaurants, shops are all within a walking distance. Public parking places (with fees) are at 2 minutes walking distance.
We very much enjoyed staying in this apartment. It was comfortable and well-maintained with a delightful courtyard. It is relatively quiet - would early hear voices from neighboring apartments in the evening and occasionally someone on the stairs at the back of the apartment who then struggled to open the building's front door. The Manager Francis is very sweet, but I did suggest he write down directions in English for all the appliances rather than recount them when we are so jet lagged and can't remember a thing he said. Also, I would not want to stay in this apartment in the summer because it has no air conditioning and no screens on the windows to keep the mosquitoes out. We had a little trouble with mosquitoes even in October. The apartment is in walking distance of everything. If you drive, there is a free parking lot at the edge of the old town, which has a shuttle bus that stops near the apartment.
Fell in love with Avignon. Francis is great (owner of apt ) very warm and friendly and helpful. Apt.had everything you would need and more. Hope to return again and again.
This apartment was excellent, professionally maintained and very comfortable. The apartment was very spacious for two people and the adjacent, closed courtyard allowed in a lot of light giving the apartment a very spacious feel. We were looking for an apartment in the older part of Avignon and this apartment kept all of the charm of an earlier era with all of the convience of modern comforts. The manager, Francis, was very helpful.
We had a fantastic time at this apartment in Avignon. The apartment was perfect for us - clean, comfortable and with a brilliant courtyard - and the location was amazing - only minutes from the palace of the popes!
Francis was an excellent host and made sure we had plenty to do while in Provence. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in beautiful Avignon.
This was our first experience renting an apartment in Europe, so we were not sure what to expect. This apartment far exceded our expectations. The manager, Francis, could not have been friendlier or more helpful throughout the rental process and he greeted us with a booklet full of suggestions and information about touring the area.
The apartment itself is small but very modern and thoughtfully laid out with every convenience and amenity. It was spotlessly clean. It seems bigger in person than the pictures make it appear and the large and beautifully landscaped terrace was a huge bonus, perfect for al fresco dining or cocktails in nice weather. It is light and bright from 2 large windows in the bedroom and in the living room. The location is perfect for sightseeing, just a few steps from the Palais du Papes and the central square and a short walk from the central train station. As close as it is to the main tourist area, the apartment is tucked back on a little street and is in a very secure building and very quiet.
We loved shopping at Les Halles and stocking the kitchen. I did not do much cooking. Too many good restaurants in town. The kitchen is very small but you have everything you need if you want to cook. I highly recommend the French cooking class in the Hotel Mirande right next door.
Staying in Avignon in this apartment was the best part of our trip. Such a nice break from hotels and very convenient for touring the area. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to other travelers.
The apartment was wonderful - all new and very modern - everything one would need for sure.
Location excellent - quiet and lovely. We were able to happily rent a car and do the beautiful villages and have our apartment for base camp - the lovely hotel next door was exquisite and a drink must be done there. Place Pierre and the local restaurants excellent. A Carrefour grocery in the hood as well. We loved our stay and loved the apartment. Francois and Laurente were amazing.
Next door to the highlight monument 'Popes Palace', in the very heart of the town close by all attractions to enjoy... museums, restaurants, shopping.
