Come enjoy the peaceful beauty of our family's lakeside retreat home on Lake Barkley! Our beautiful cedar cabin is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family, whether you're grilling, swimming, fishing, boating, relaxing, playing games, or sharing stories.
Although a picture is worth a thousand words, photos almost can't do this house justice! Our house has hardwood floors throughout with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen canopy bed with custom-made designer bedding, and an amazing view of the lake to wake up to. The second bedroom also has a queen sized bed with a beautiful lake view, while the 3rd bedroom is equipped with two sets of bunkbeds (one has a full bed on the bottom, and a trundle underneath). The main bedrooms have lake views and doors opening onto the deck. The fully-equipped kitchen contains counter top seating, a kitchen and larger dining table, and stainless-steel appliances. The living room has a huge, modern sectional couch with huge windows and an amazing view of the lake!
Step outside to the huge deck, to enjoy the lake view, sunset over the lake, or a view of the night sky, or BBQ with our gas grill. Take an easy stroll across our slopping lawn to the private dock and take a dip in the lake, fish, just relax and watch the boats go by, or dock your own boat.
If this property is not showing as available, check out our other Farm House lake property with a treehouse - two houses down from our Cedar house -Property # 781206. These two houses are also a great location to have a large family event - you can spread out in both houses and yet still enjoy time together!

We are a family of 5 who lives in Nashville, Tennessee. We grew up in Indiana and Arkansas, but have lived here for 16 years and love the beauty of the Kentucky/ Tennessee area. We have two boys and a little girl we adopted from Ethiopia in 2011.
Teresa Bult purchased this house in 2012
We have lived in the Nashville area for 16 years, and about 5 years ago, began searching for the perfect lake front property around the Nashville area. Thus, we have rented houses and cabins all over Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley! When our real estate agent showed us this property - we were in love! It is the perfect mix of a modern, beautiful house, with a lake front cedar cabin.
The rustic cedar/ cabin-like appearance of the house, yet beautiful indoor (and outdoor) amenities, gentle sloping yard toward the lake -it is unlike any we have seen or rented. And we have taken great pains to make this a beautiful, hotel-like place to stay inside the house as well!
Thank you to the Bults for sharing your beautiful cabin with our family this past week. We all throughly enjoyed every minute of it. There was something to do for everyone from ages 5 thru 73. One day we rented jet skis and followed that up with a pontoon rental with slide. My 5 grandkids loved it. The inside of the house is as beautiful as the outside and very well equipped. Enjoyed the covered deck early in the morning and late evening. We will definitely be returning. The only negative was the frig ice maker gave us problems while we were there. We should have contacted the owners....just having too much fun. Thanks again

The home was everything it was described to be and owner's were available and helpful before & during our stay! We had family from age 3 to 65....it was a great time for everyone! We will certainly be returning! 😊😊😊
My only wish is we had stayed an extra day; we were just getting comfy and it was time to leave. Excellent accommodations from the master bed, bath to the living room and kitchen. And the house we set up with everything (including satellite, Wii, professional basketball hoop on which we played some serious 3 on 3), so you had to basically bring food and clothes.
Teresa was Extremely responsive when little issues arose. The grass was pretty long (and we were playing home derby in backyard) when we arrived and hesitated to say anything but glad I did. It was rectified by our last day.
Other than that, our part of the lake was a bit muddy, cloudy - in terms of water. Initially, we stayed out but aftwr Teresa's urging, many got in the last day and the kids LOVED it.
The only other little problem is the deck didn't have slats to keep kids from falling (it's just a foot down to the flower beds), But that wasn't an issue with our 22 month old. Never tried to go near the edge and we had enough supervision. He had the most fun running the football size field yard.
Thank you for a great vacation!
This was our third stay at this beautiful home, and we have already booked our next. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with family. Beautiful sunsets on the dock, reading on the deck, grandkids fishing, birds galore. We love it. The owners are wonderful too.
Although we stayed during one on the hottest weeks for a fishing trip we have ever endured, the house was a godsend. Very well stocked and really enjoyed the mornings on the deck. We spent a day and went to Patty's Settlement and the elk and Bison prairie and would highly recommend both. You can't go wrong spending a week at this rental. Thank you guys so much!

My two Sons (Aged 15 and 10) and I were fortunate to stay at the cabin for 3 nights as we made our way from the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago down to The Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee. The cabin was immaculately clean, very well-appointed and as nice as it appears in the picture and description. The sectional couch was so comfortable, my Son and I slept on it 2 of the nights. The yard is expansive with enough room to do anything you would like. Having the dock right on the water was key for us and it didn't disappoint. We hired a guide to fish Lake Barkley during the day, then fished briefly off of the dock each evening. We absolutely nailed the White Bass on Lake Barkely with the guide and caught Large Mouth Bass, Rock Bass, a very nice-sized Catfish and Drum off the dock, so there's definitely fish around the cabin if you want to catch them. For the younger kids who just want to catch something, simply fish between the end of the dock and the shoreline on the left side while facing back towards the house and you'll catch rock bass all day long.
For food in the area, we highly recommend. "Taste of the South". We tried many of the local restaurants and this one was not only the best in the area, it was one of the best meals we had in a long time and we are foodies. Everything was homemade and you get that nice local feeling to the food. We did also enjoy some burgers at the Lake Barkely Marina and eating right on the water was very pleasant. Cadiz Family Restaurant had surprisingly good Fried Chicken and Chicken and Dumplings.
We did travel to the Land Between the Lakes and it's really a must see if you're in the area. It's not far and the Bison and Elk prairie was neat and you don't even have to get out of your car. The planetarium was a very nice surprise and the Led Zeppelin Laser Light Show on Friday Night was one of the most memorable experiences of the entire trip. You just don't expect to go to a Led Zeppelin light show in the middle of the LBL!
The antique shops in Downtown Cadiz are definitely worth visiting if you're into antiquing. We purchased quite a few items and the stores were surprisingly big with vast selections.
The owners were very responsive to the reservation and you can tell they really take the extra effort to make the stay enjoyable in how they appointed the cabin and how they had the guidelines and general information presented so well.
Our house is located just outside of the adorable Kentucky town of Cadiz, Kentucky -- it is known for its plethora of cute antique stores in the town. It also has several BBQ restaurants & is close by the Barkley Lake Resort & Marina.
