Forget the ferry lines and come to Camano Island.
Approximately sixty miles north of Seattle transports you to the beauty of Puget Sound shorelines without having to wait for a ferry!
This cabin is well designed for the entire family. The main floor has the great room concept - kitchen, living room and dinning room all open. The dinning room easily seats 8 people. The main floor also has two bedrooms with queen beds and one bath. Downstairs is an additional TV area, two bedrooms and the second bathroom. The deck has a propane BBQ, two tables and Adirondack chairs, the perfect place for your morning coffee or watching the sunset. The beach is just steps from the large front deck. The built in stairs (5 steps) make access to the beach easy and safe. Our sandy beach is great for beach combing, walking or just hanging out and watching the kids play. A short walk to the north will get you to the Iverson Spit Preserve. This is a popular Washington State Audubon Trail, 125 species live or visit here, including Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, Loons, and Kingfishers. The preserve has a Geocach and some great trails including our family favorite “The Hobbit Trail”.
Enjoy exploring the island, local towns or just hang out in the hammock and watch the Eagles soar.
This cozy cabin is right on the water. We've been here in the winter and summer and can't wait to go back. Summer offers beach and water fun (the water is warmer than Lake Washington?!), a great yard and BBQ and the ability to bike. Winter offers a cozy getaway from the city with gorgeous water views, a Hobbit-trail the kids love, and board games and puzzles. Kids can't wait to go back.
This cabin is our favorite place to stay on Camano Island. The view looking east cannot be beat, and the sunrise is really beautiful. Great for morning hikes, afternoon bike rides, geo-caching in the nearby trails, and walks along the beach. The kitchen has all the amenities, and the deck is perfect for barbecuing and toasting marshmallows. It's close enough to Seattle for an easy weekend out of town, but you still feel like you are far from the hustle and bustle of the city. We can't wait to go back!
Have stayed at this cabin in both winter & summer times. The cabin is located close to all the amenities of Camano. The beach has everything! The bay is private - great sunrises, swimming, kayaking, boating, crabbing & swimming. The beach is free of rocks & barnacles. The cabin has everything, clean and beyond comfortable. Can't think of a better place to make memories.
Location, location, location. This cabin is a perfect place to stay. Right on the beach, fun adventurous places to walk and close to town. Love the big deck in the back of the cabin where you can eat dinner and enjoy the view. Love the cabin, has all the amenities and a great big fire to sit around at night. Can't wait to go back!
We had a wonderful time at the beach. You can't get any closer. We had cozy fires at night and long walks on the beach during the day. The cabin has everything you need. Definitely recommend for a weekend away, easy get away from Seattle.
This cabin was fabulous!
The view is perfect. We watched eagles and seabirds and great blue heron fishing, right from the backyard. We called in the seagulls and fed them bread from the deck.
The kids played in the water and on the beach collecting shells and crab and tiny clamshells (the tiniest we've ever seen.)
Down the road is the "Hobbit trail" which we walked with our dogs several times.
All in all the place was lovely! The kitchen has all new appliances and everything you will need to cook a gourmet dinner and dessert. And don't forget your bottle of wine to sit by the blazing fire (plenty of wood provided) and watch the sunset or storm watch. The owners are extremely helpful and accessible and friendly.
All that and only 1 hour from home. We will most certainly be back!!!
Camano Island offers many unique art galleries, antique shops and restaurants to explore. Plus two state parks and numerous hiking trails. We even have a “Zip-Line” across the street from the local golf course.
After exploring the island you may want to plan a day trip to one of the quaint neighboring towns such as Mt Vernon, La Connor or Anacortes. Or venture a little further north to Bellingham and the historical Fairhaven area.
