Though we did not get to stay here during our time on the Big Island due to unavailable. We did take a hike up the hill from the place we stayed. OMG, no wonder I wanted to stay at this perfect place. Bill, was amazing and invited us for coffee & toffee also shared some great information about the island and places to visit. The bonus during our conversation was showing the vacation rental as it was in-between the next guests. The home is just as the pictures show.....except there is no way to show the fabulous views better than sitting on the lanai! Thank you Bill for sharing some time & coffee with us, you have a remarkable place to share with the rest of us! Gina
We enjoyed our time here. The views and sunsets were beautiful. The house is well appointed with everything you need including beach chairs and towels. The lanai is great and has nice breezes to keep you cool.
The only things we didn't like was that the visitor area for the coffee farm is on the other side of the pool from the house so it doesn't feel like a private home. Also, the pool says it is heated and technically it is because of a solar panel but it was really cold. On the other hand, the hot tub was overheated. It was 109 degrees on the first day and we could never get it below 105. Way to hot to enjoy when it's 80+ degrees outside.
We had an issue with the house being occupied when we got there but the owners immediately handled the situation and were very apologetic and accommodating. They made great concessions to ensure we were happy.
Thank you Dave, Trudy and Bill for everything!
The home is only slightly off beaten path but you feel like you are far away. You get some great coffee on your stay. The home is clean and roomy. You have all you need. Place comes with its own rooster alarm clock. Yule never oversleep. Comfortable beds, great view of ocean from roomy porch. Very nice clean pool. Dave and his wife make your stay relaxing
My wife and I recently spent 9 nights at Heavenly Coffee Farms. It is in a secluded area about 20-minutes drive from Hana, very peaceful. The rental cottage is lovely, well equipped, and has fantastic views when the VOG allows (VOG is air pollution from the volcano and can be pretty bad). Unfortunately there is a wild rooster Henry and his gaggle of hens. Henry likes to "cook-a-doodle-doo" at 1.30am, then an hour later, and so on all thru the night. Worse, he lives in a tree next to the bedroom and it sounds as though he is almost in the same room! This place would be 5-star were it not for Henry, and the cats that fought one night, or the dogs that howled all of another night. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep thru the night.
This home fit our needs perfectly. The pictures are accurate, the view is spectacular. We stayed 12 days. The owners are very friendly, checked with us frequently to see if we needed anything ( more coffee ). The home was completely set up from BBQ to a French Press Coffee maker. Beach chairs and snorkel gear were in the outdoor closet. We used the home as a base, made day trips from there. On this coffee farm we saw wild pigs, turkeys and of course chickens. The chickens do start their day early though so be ready. However with the time difference it was not a problem. We would definitely rent this home again.
Our first time to the Kona coast.
This house is excellent! It's clean, updated, and well-appointed. And, on top of that, the property is lovely. It feels like you're in your own little world there with barely another house in sight. But, actually, you're very close to town and many attractions and amenities. It was nice sitting on the screened-in porch in the morning with a cup of coffee that came from the coffee plants right below. The owners were very friendly and nice, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and making sure we never ran out of their awesome coffee. If I ever make it back to the Big Island, I would stay here again for sure. The only warning (which wasn't a huge problem for us, but it's something to be prepared for) is that you will be woken up at 5:30 or 6 in the morning by a very vocal rooster. But, if you don't go back to sleep, you'll just have more time to explore Hawaii! :)
