Small 2 bedroom cottage with a large front porch, full kitchen with a bath and 1/2, laundry washer and drier in the cottage. High speed internet is also available. Sitting on the front porch is like sitting in s tree house as the cottage sits high above the street. Music from the playhouse can be heard on the front porch. there is a single parking spot reserved for the cottage in the cul de sac below.
My wife and I grew up coming to The Mount Gretna Lake in the summer time. My uncle owned a summer home which I would visit and my Grand Parents always wanted a summer home here but never made it happen. When the opportunity to buy our cottage presented itself we moved on it and have never regretted our decision.
William and Marianne Roberts purchased this cottage in 1998
Very Cute romantic cottage in the woods. Very close to all the activity in Mount Gretna. Theater-Playhouse, Lake, Jigger Shop, Hideaway, Gift Shop, Playground Basketball Court
Cottage sits high above the street and reminds you of a very nice tree house. Cottage was built in the 1890s and still holds that original romantic charm.
A lovely, rustic cottage in a very quiet section of Mt. Gretna. Nice paths to walk to lake & beach, mini golf, playhouse, restaurants and all Mt Gretna has to offer. Spent a lot of time on the porch reading and it was a peaceful get a way. Great place to disconnect from the day to day and recharge.
My family enjoyed our time at this cottage very much. The porch was especially fun and peaceful to relax on while listening to live music wafting up from the local playhouse.
Mt. Gretna is such a peaceful, relaxing place to visit. This cottage sits up and is a little secluded, but not far from the attractions. We found a neat little walking path for a shortcut to the playhouse. There was just 4 of us, so the cottage worked perfectly for us.
The most peaceful, relaxing week we've had in a long time. The cottage is cozy, beautifully decorated and has everything you could need. Set up high from the road, it was like being in a tree house! We already planning our next visit.
If you've never been to Mt. Gretna, you must go. If you have a small family/group, you must stay at Las Brisas. It is the cutest little cottage I've ever seen, and it's like living in a tree house. Comfy beds, tasteful antiques, artistic decor, and a porch to die for. Nestled in the hill right above the Playhouse, you can listen to the concerts from the porch. Walk to the ice cream parlor, art gallery, tennis courts, miniature golf, two restaurants, and, of course, the Playhouse.
Mt. Gretna is close enough to local attractions like Hershey and Lancaster, but there is so much to do in Mt. Gretna, you might not want to leave. In fact, you might just want to settle in on the porch with a good book, a jigsaw puzzle, and some art supplies...and soak in the serenity of nature.
My friend and I had a delightful, peaceful, exhilerating long week-end at Las Brisas, which ended too soon. We can't wait to go back. Now that I have found Mt. Gretna, I plan to experience each season there. It's incredible!
I highly recommend Las Brisas. One recommendation: pack light. Better to have two small suitcases than one large one...since you'll have to go up a couple flights of steps to get to the house. But once you get up there, it is well worth it.
