Lake Tahoe Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family (me, my husband, brother, sis in law, son and his wife) just got back from a wonderful vacation in Lake Tahoe. We stayed in the lovely three story home on Tyner Dr. in a very nice section of Incline Village. The views are just gorgeous of the lake, mountains, trees from all levels of the house. The house has everything you will need to be comfortable. The beds are all super comfortable and there is plenty of room. We all had our own bathrooms and plenty of privacy. The hot tub is on the 2nd deck and is very nice. Everything was super clean and the only thing we had to get was food and wine. A lot of basic food and other necessary items were already there so check before you go to the store. The owners are just very nice and answered all my questions. We loved the casinos, north and south, and the men said the golf courses were excellent and the most beautiful they'd ever seen. Cafe Fiore in South Lake is excellent, but has only a limited number of tables, so reservations are a must. I'd certainly recommend this property to all my friends and family and we are planning on staying here again when we return next year (hopefully). The only downside is if you can't climb stairs then this place isn't for you. I also wouldn't take a small baby or toddlers unless you bring along gates for the stairs. We absolutely love Tahoe!!! We live in Texas and love to go to a beautiful, cool paradise in the summer!!

Not Luxury

  • 3 of 5

This home is a far cry from Luxury. It is a home out of the 70's without any updates. Broken deck furniture, missing screens or screens with duct tape to cover holes. The cleaning crew needs to be fired. Very dirty. Had to wash everything before use. Broken oven door. Old food in freezer (meat and ice cream) and fridge door was full of old and used condiments.

On the positive side, the view from the deck is beautiful and the location of the house is great. Hot tub was clean, but very old and not all jets working.

The house is for sale so I assume owners have no intention of putting any money into it.

My advise, keep looking if you want Luxury. This is not it.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review! I’m very sorry that you felt our home was not good enough for you. Although our home is older, we do find that it is very charming and cozy, as shown by all of the previous 5 Star reviews. In regards to the issues you found during your stay, I really wish you would have brought them to my attention directly so I could be made aware of the issues instead of finding out about them through your review – Due to our home being rented consecutively for 3 months we were unaware of the issues you listed. As prior renters did not notify us… Now that we are in the slower season we have replaced the stove; installed all new screens on windows and doors, we have also installed new window shades throughout the house, installed all new toilets, faucets and showerheads. And a new kitchen sink, garbage disposal and faucet! Also a brand new 60” Smart TV… I do apologize for the left over food in the refrigerator, it is the responsibility of our cleaning company to discard any remaining food left over after each guest – They have been spoken to and in the future they will be throwing away anything left behind. I have also spoken to them about your complaint about the house being very dirty! Again, I do appreciate the negative comments because we can only get better from them! I am really glad you enjoyed our view! It is the best feature of our home! - Lori

Cozy, not luxurious! Beautiful location, well equipped.

  • 3 of 5

Little let down based on descriptions. Overall well equipped, great location. Owner responsive to concerns we had during our stay. House was cozy, rooms really small, and house needs some TLC. But, overall we enjoyed our stay in Lake Tahoe!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! And I do agree that we needed some TLC! With the house being consecutively rented for 3 months during our peak season it did get some wear and tear. But since your stay we have made many improvements… In the kitchen we replaced the stove, kitchen sink and faucet. We even bought a new dinning table and chairs! In the bathrooms we installed all new toilets and bathroom faucets. We also have new window coverings throughout the house. Again, I want to thank you for taking the time to write a review and I hope to hear from you again in the future! – Lori :)

Clean, beautiful view, comfortable bedding

  • 5 of 5

The space is beautiful and clean. The bedrooms are large enough for two people each, except one on the first floor which was larger. The living room and kitchen are just large enough for a party of ten to feel comfortable in that space. If you plan to have more people or too many cars, this is not the house for it.

The house is beautifully planned over three floors, if you can't climb stairs it will be difficult.

The hot tub pump is the best I have ever seen, the showers have great pressure, everything worked perfectly. The beds and pillows were super comfortable like being in a nice hotel. I would rent that house again.

Great location, great view, access to private beaches and pool and a very caring owner

  • 4 of 5

This house is located right in Incline Village. It has access to Incline's amazing private beaches and pool. The house has a beautiful view of the lake, It's a very large house and also has a small yard in which kids can play tag. Finally, there is a hot tub which is just the icing on the cake. We had a great Labor Day weekend stay in this house and would only ever stay in Incline Village in the future. Finally, to our horror, the night we returned home, we realized that we left my 6 year old son's favorite stuffed dog in the rental home. He cried himself to sleep that night wondering if we would be able to get it back. When I contacted the owner, she immediately contacted her cleaning crew to look for the dog and when they found it, she had them mail it to us immediately. It was a great homecoming when the stuffed dog arrived in the mail. Thank you Lori!!!!!!!!
