About the property

Charming newly restored 2 bedroom 2 bath home in old Bend downtown neighborhood.

This 1926 home has been newly restored to bring it's old time charm back to life with contemporary conveniences.

The new kitchen has oak cabinets with granite counters, copper sink, and new appliances including a washer and dryer.

Refinished hardwood floors throughout this home gently remind us of it's past with character and warmth.

The 2 bedrooms are furnished with luxurious queen beds and the master has a new private bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower. The hall bath too has new tiled tub/shower and marble floor.

Guests are sure to gather in the spacious living/dining room or outside in the private backyard setting or front fenced yard, that offer privacy yet a view to the neighborhood. The home also has A/C for the warmer summer days.

We are just a few blocks from downtown and one block from Jackson's Corner, the local corner lunch and dinner eatery with adult beverages. Strictly Organic coffee is just 2 blocks away.

Something is sure to be happening and you will be just steps away from it all in this cozy home.

About Gretchen Palmer

We have lived in Central Oregon for over 40 years, building homes and communities in Sunriver, Bend, Redmond and Sisters. Having lived near downtown ourselves, this home exemplifies our favorite neighborhood that Central Oregon has to offer!

Gretchen Palmer purchased this bungalow in 2011

Why Gretchen Palmer chose Bend

This home is an ideal location for all the events that we enjoy in Central Oregon. Within walking distance to the numerous restaurants and shops in downtown and the Old Mill, this home is perfect! An easy stroll in a quaint neighborhood brings back memories of a less complicated lifestyle. Access is easy to the road to the mountains and the lakes where the paths and trails beckon.

What makes this bungalow unique

The charm of this 1926 home is warm and inviting, from the arched doorways and hardwood floors to the old school lighting and even retro door hardware. The new somewhat art-deco ceiling fans and fixtures harken back to simpler times while providing guests with today's conveniences.

A charming home with an exceptional location in downtown Bend.

Great house for two couples in a fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to Bend. We were there for a ski trip, but Mother Nature prevented that from happening. We had also planned on visiting some breweries while we were there and this house is in the perfect location for that. We decided to do the Bend Ale Trail map and get our prize at the end. This house is so conveniently located, that we walked to eleven of them with no trouble. It's also really close to a brand new grocery store, REI and a lot of shopping. We loved it. The house itself is great. Well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms with deluxe towels and super comfortable beds. I would highly recommend this house for two couples or a small family. In addition, Gretchen is very quick with responses. I had a couple of questions and she literally replied back within minutes. I am the type of person who tries to find something wrong, but there was nothing to be found.

How great is the bungalow on Bond St!?! Comfortable, quaint, and clean.

  • 5 of 5

Gretchen was a wonderful hostess. She accommodated my needs regarding a family circus. The bungalow on Bond St was a welcoming haven. It felt right to be there. It has charm, local products, the best bed ever! Didn't want to leave! I mean that; was so sad to leave but I know I will back!
