There is a Price Chopper Grocery store just over the 1000 Island Bridge off the Alex Bay exit. There are many tourist activities, places to eat, shop, listen to live bands, golf, or book boat tours of the beautiful and magical St. Lawrence River.
I built my house in 2005 with the help of my fiance and employer, DAK Design & Constructing, Inc. I take great pride in my home knowing that I participated in all aspects of the building process. There is a lot of love in this home.
Patricia Curtis purchased this house in 2005
I love where I am located because it is so close to so many activities, yet has a private quietness about it.
This is a charming little home with an arched entry and kitchen, wood ceilings, and open living/kitchen/dining room area. The upstairs is a large open room with lots of light and great views of ponds and woods and the sunset.
We loved this house it is setup perfectly for a family or sharing with friends. Everything anyone would need is in there from linens to pots and pans not that we needed many with a small convenience store across the street that has great breakfasts. A short ride to Alex Bay and Clayton also the marina in the park. We would definitely recommend this to any of our friend. And painter Patty is a great person.
Thank you so much for a wonderful long weekend spent at your home. This is our second visit and both times it was 100% spotless and clearly well loved and cared for by it's owner. Erin loved the second downstairs bedroom with the extra toys for her to play with. The kitchen was stocked with all of the pots, pans, plates, dishes, utensils, etc. you would ever need. My favorite spot was at the dining table looking out at the birds around the feeders with a cup of coffee in hand - just beautiful. We will definitely be back! Alicia, Eric and kids
Our 1000 Island vacation was so relaxing staying at Patti's home. It is immaculate, spacious, and had great sunset views while we BBQ'ed. Her location allowed the 5 of us to bike, run, & hike each morning at our leisure - which our 3 teenagers preferred. Around 10am we would head out and toured the US and Canadian area of the 1000 islands. Being on Wellesley Island was a great choice as everything was less than a half hour. We Toured Boldt Castle & Uncle Sam's boat tour of Millionaire's Row, Wellesley Island Park (old victorian village is so quaint), Wellesley Island State Park, 1000 Island Skydeck, and then part of the Waterfront Trail in Canada. The bird life at Patti's was very entertaining. We especially loved her hummingbirds! Thank you so much!
We cannot say enough about how lovely our stay in the Thousand Islands was. We were getting married at Boldt Castle and had a lot of trouble finding a shorter term rental for that weekend. But thankfully Patricia's home was available and the price was right. It was perfect as a "home base" for the groom's family. It has spacious bedrooms, great kitchen and dining-- we had our Rehearsal Dinner at that home! There was enough seating for a great dinner and conversation. After the wedding we were talking that the beautiful backyard and the pond would have also made a great site for a wedding! We were concerned about crossing the toll bridge to get in and out of Alexandria Bay, but it worked out fine! The property is in a quiet neighborhood and very convenient to many attractions-- boat rental, Uncle Sam's boat tours, dining. Will definitely visit again. Thank you, Patricia!
The house very clean and organized. It was nice to stay somewhere that felt like home away from home.
The residence very clean and nice amenities as: very good movie and music selections, provided the linens, nice decor, central to Alexandria Bay, Clayton, Thousand Islands Park, and Canada, nice ceiling fans throughout, and nicely stocked kitchen. We had guests that came by to visit and commented on how nice the house was.
