About James Rogers
I own several local businesses. I love water sports especially fishing. Our family loves weekends together at our lake home.
James Rogers purchased this House in 2002
Why James Rogers chose Sale Creek
We loved the lake, boating and fishing, so we built our dream home on the water. We use the home for vacations and weekend getaways, but we also love to travel. So we have decided to share our home so you can enjoy the lake as much as we do.
What makes this House unique
If you love to fish, we have set up lights under the dock to attract the fish. The dock will cover 2 24 foot boats, with unlimited places to tie up other boats. Lots of decks and patios so no matter how many people are enjoying the home, you can get some privacy. Theater room with projection TV. Almost every room in the house has a view of the lake. Open living, dining and kitchen let you enjoy games, TV and eating all in one space. EPB high speed fiber optic internet and cable TV.

La limpieza y el wifi no eran buenos
No muy bueno
Our instructions are not in Spanish. Our wifi is fantastic. We have historically had great cell phone coverage. I never heard from the guest regarding any issue once they arrived. I think there may have been a basic communication problem.
This house was perfect for our family. It is well layed out to handle large groups. The views were the highlight - relaxing and serene. We really liked having built in entertainment for the kids with the lake. It is a nice quiet cove with shallow waters so the kids could swim and play without worrying about fast boats passing by. Large yard for games and running.
It is in need of a thorough cleaning. There is a fair amount of dust and grime build-up. The furniture has seen better days. The kids were unable to play downstairs due to a centipede problem. I suggest having a toaster available and adding black out curtains to the upstairs room (one has them, the other doesn’t). The house gets warm as the day goes on, but the AC handles it pretty well.
Thank you for the comments and kind words. The house has been almost 100% occupied since March. This leaves very little time for thorough cleanings when you only have 5 hours in between guests and as many as 16 people sleeping in beds. Also there is over 1000 square feet of outdoor living spaces that have to be addressed including the dock. As far as the furniture, this is a heavily used lake home. Wet bathing suits, fishing trips, cook outs, kids, dogs, etc are tough on furniture and the entire house. We cannot afford to replace 4000 square feet of furniture regularly because of stains and wear. Our guests do not want to pay for furniture they damage. The guest in charge cannot keep up with the activities of all their group, especially kids and dogs. I want to allow our guests to bring their dogs. Some abuse the privilege. I have only charged a deposit 1 time in 4 years. Bugs can be an issue on the lake in the summer time. We treat regularly. We were unaware of the problem. We had a toaster there. I will see if it was removed or put away in a cabinet, by the prior guest. These things do happen. With a house this large, different guests are looking for different things. It will not be perfect for every situation. We try to find a balance that works, and we have been very successful for a long time. Over 50% of our guests return.
Christmas in July Family Gathering
Property manager, James, was great. He responded quickly to my emails and questions. We loved the location and flat yard adjacent to boat dock. Plenty of space for all to be together, and still have private areas to get away.
The beds need to be replaced mine felt as if i had a spring jabbing my hip and ribs the rest of the family also complained about the beds. It was also suggested to have blinds to cut the heat in the kitchen and downstairs. The property is beautiful and location is very relaxing.

Great place for 4 generations of family
Awesome weekend getaway!
My family had a wonderful time at this spacious house! We were in town for my son's wedding in Cleveland. We loved the gorgeous views, the peaceful atmosphere and the roominess of the house! It was great to have 6 bedrooms to fit everyone. We loved sitting on the deck and down by the water. The moonlight over the water was spectacular! I wish we could have stayed longer! THANKS for sharing your house! We hope to be come back sometime!
(If you need to go to the market, there's a Wal-mart over in Dayton! )
