About Zach

Our family has been vacationing in Palm Springs for four generations. There is something special about Palm Springs that continues to enchant us. Hugging the mountain on Highway 111 as we cruise into town melts our stress away and our first glimpse of the iconic mid-century modern architecture transports us to another time.

We got married in Palm Springs at the Viceroy in 2008. Since then, we have dreamed of opening a boutique hotel in Palm Springs. In early 2012, we stumbled upon this original mid-century modern Alexander butterfly roof home with its original footprint still in tact. We decided to fulfill our dream of owning a boutique hotel by carefully renovating and designing this house to provide guests with a hotel-like experience in a private home. We spent the next year carefully restoring it to its original splendor (with modern upgrades).

We are excited to offer this special property to our guests, and we hope our guests will treasure this house as much as we do.

Zach purchased this house in 2012

Why Zach chose Palm Springs

This house provides the quintessential Palm Springs experience: mid-century modern architecture; private pool and yard with citrus trees; mountain views; walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, bars and more; stylish new furnishings and decor; in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Palm Springs.

What makes this house unique

This property is truly unique because of its rare butterfly roofline, its modern, yet period-appropriate upgrades, its historical significance, its large backyard, and its orientation towards the mountain, resulting in mountain views from all bedrooms and the backyard.

Great place , Great location!

Had a great stay with 6 guys on a bachelor party! Everybody was comfortable. Due to seasonality lots of bugs. But was quick to have pool cleaners there!

Thanks again!

Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was wonderful and the house, guest house, pool and back yard was beautiful. The front door lock is a bit confusing. Other than that not one complaint.

hip, spacious and retro home you never have to leave

  • 5 of 5

I came here with a group of girls for my 30th birthday and we had an amazing time. The backyard was huge, the pool was amazing, and all the bedrooms and bathrooms gave us plenty of space. We seriously never left the house all weekend because, why would we? Everything was clean and the check in and check out instructions were super clear. We are talking about coming back next year! My ONLY complaint was that the pool was a little dirty when we arrived, but the pool guy came the next day and cleaned it, it wasn't a huge deal, and we had a BLAST!

Beautifully maintained, lovely home!

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Zach's home this past April! It was as beautiful as the photos make it out to be. On arrival (the afternoon after an apparently huge wind storm) we found the pool to be full of tree branches and leaves, we contacted Zach and he had a pool company out within hours to get it all cleaned up for us. We were a little surprised there was no laundry detergent or dish soap provided, and were expecting the fully stocked kitchen to have a few more "essentials" like condiments, but the house is close to the shops so it was easy enough to pick up supplies even without having a rental car. Loved the location, short walk to the coffee shop. We used uber to get around instead of renting a car. We found the grounds crew and pool crew to be friendly and they worked fast to be in and out! We would absolutely recommend this property to others, and would stay here again! Thanks for providing a great home base for a fun multi-family vacation!!

Beautiful house in a great area!

  • 5 of 5

What can I say about this amazing house?!? We rented this house for our family of four and our friends family of three. This house comfortably fit the 7 of us. We enjoyed the pool so much, and the fire pit at night was an extra fun bonus. We spent hours talking and relaxing at night by the fire.

One thing that sums up how we felt here..."comfortable". We have never rented a house before and worried we would find it a bit intrusive or it not feel natural. This place has such a great vibe, it truly felt like home. I will rent this place again!!

A perfect stay

  • 5 of 5

Lovely, welcoming property, well equipped for cooking. Pool was perfectly heated. From 15 year old son to 90 y old grandmother. Everyone had private space, lots of places to enjoy together. Near to high quality grocery stores and downtown Palm Springs. Will definitely return!

This property is located in the highly sought after neighborhood, Twin Palms, in South Palm Springs. Twin Palms is home to the former Frank Sinatra estate and dozens of other mid-century modern homes designed by famed architects Palmer & Krisel for the Alexander Construction Company in the late 1950s (these homes are referred to as the 'Alexanders'). The neighborhood of Twin Palms is quiet and peaceful. However, restaurants, bars and coffee shops, including the Ace Hotel (which has a day spa and various evening entertainment), Kings Highway, Koffi and Elmers, are walking distance. The Smoke Tree Village Shopping Center, which has a grocery store and additional restaurants, is less than one mile away.
