The Masterpiece apartment:
This is an unbelivable apartment with hotel standards located in the heart of the ancient Rome and it has a private priceless terrace!
Try to imagine doing breakfast or dinner on the Terrace.... this would be an unforgettable experience.
The building is more than 400 years and in the living room there is still the original wood ceiling!
If this unit is booked please consider my other apartments:
'The Masterpiece apartment' is a charming 2 bedroom apartment, adjacent to the world famous 'Campo de' fiori', within walking distance to all major monuments and museums in town and next to a Church of 1306 AC, Santa Barbara dei librai.
The apartment is equipped with amenities such as kitchen, bathroom, and a fantastic living room with a pull out couch that can comfortably sleep two with a special mattress to add on!
This apartment is connected with CABLE TV so you can see all world's channels
The property is on 4° floor with no elevator (less than 60 steps to do) like in all the original buildings in the area and there are 8 more steps to get from the kitchen to the terrace.
I know 60 steps could be bad... but usually all my guests do them 1 time ad day, coming back home. So no problem! And also... the view from the Terrace is priceless!
The amazing old square downstairs boasts a number of attractions which keeps it busy most hours of the day, but the vibrant life outside is quieted by the new installed windows!!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
TERRACE TERRACE TERRACE
The location: perfect. In the city center, walking distance to ALL monuments, museums, things to do.
The Terrace: absolutely spectacular! There is no way to describe it!
The apartment was great. Great location. We can walk to any place in Rome. Luca was incredible. His communication before we arrived was amazing. He met us at the apartment, helped me with my luggage and stocked our fridge since we arrived late. He just had the personal touches that made the apartment memorable. The terrace would be awesome in warmer weather. Despite it being December, we sat up there under a blanket, viewed the holiday lights and listened to all of the church bells ringing. Only negative is that it is truly 5 flights of stairs. However, the location made it totally worthwhile.
This is our second time staying at Luca's beautiful roof top terrace home, and it was even better than the first! It is still as pictured and just as clean and tidy, with all the extras you may need. Please take the time to work in the small kitchen so you can dine on the terrace, so worth it! Two grocery stores within walking distance, plus the market for produce. The view and the location make all the steps worth the climb.
Aside from the fact that this location is the best, you must consider the host! Luca cares so much about his guests, your happiness and your safety. He works hard to make sure your visit to Rome is the best. Without his fabulous greeting on our first stay I'm not sure we would have gone back again. This year he showed us the best place to have carbonarra! Of the things he offers take note of the driver to and from the airport. So worth the money, very professional and kind! Takes so much stress out of your travel.
If you are unable to book this apartment I strongly suggest you contact Luca about other properties he manages. He is a fantastic host and I think he should consider being a tour guide! If I am so lucky to go back to Rome again I will stay here!!
We stayed here for four nights - my mum aged 74, myself, my son aged 19 and his friend. The boys slept on the fold out couch which was plenty big enough for them. Mum and I shared the bed in the bedroom which is very large so room enough for us both. Luca provided a rollaway bed but we didn't need it.
I loved the kitchen - it was well supplied with everything we needed so I bought groceries from the nearby supermarket and we cooked most nights. Dinner on the rooftop terrace with all the candles it was perfect!
The apartment is one minute from Campo di Fiori, about 8 minutes from Piazza Navona and about 10 from the Pantheon.
It is also 5 minutes from the Jewish Ghetto and Largo Argentina (the nearest cab rank). It is also one minute to Ponte Sisto - cross over this little pedestrian bridge and you're in charming Trastevere.
The apartment is in a tiny piazza with a great cafe/bar for your morning shot of espresso and cornettos. There is a primary/high school in the piazza which is great as you get to see the locals dropping their kids to school and having a coffee in the piazza.
Water pressure in the bathroom was excellent. Hot water came from one of those instant hot water servers so it never ran out even with four of us. The cooker was gas and worked perfectly. The front door was easy to open - no fiddly alarm codes or multiple keys.
We had an issue with a power outage (a problem on the street) but Luca bent over backwards to get it fixed even though it was out of his control. It didn't matter anyway as we were out most of the day and it didn't affect our stay except for a brisk cold shower in the morning.
There is a washer in a little storage shed on the roof terrace which is easy to operate and you can dry your clothes on the portable clothes line.
Only issue are the 60+ stairs so if anyone in your party has mobility issues this apartment may not suit, however my mum has heart issues and she just took her time going up.
A beautiful apartment - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
We (family of three) found the apartment to be a great option for our stay in Rome. It could easily accomodate four. The apartment is exceptional, the location is very central and the owner, Luca is an excellent host. From the point of enquiry through to checking in he was very professional in his approach and genuinely personable. The apartment has been well thought through and had everything we needed. Beds are comfortable, everything works, including fast WiFi. The surrounding area is a hive of activity but we found it relatively quiet at night. Being literally 100 metres from Campo Di Fiori, the area is full of tourists as you would expect, but at the same time there is a sizeable local population who are getting about their regular lives. The local vibe is really appealing. The upstairs terrace really is the highlight. It is a fantastic extension of the apartment and provides a truely unique perspective of the city and a great area to enjoy the early morning and late afternoon. In terms of immersing yourself in Rome, the terrace achieves something special that you would otherwise miss, in my opinion. We would definitely recommend the apartment and would stay here again if we had the opportunity.
If you are looking for an apartment in Rome and don't try to secure this rental, you're making a huge mistake!!! First, the owner, Luca. Just a great young man/owner. From the beginning, he answered all my emails in a timely fashion. The payment process through PayPal was easy. Upon arriving, he met us outside the apartment. For some, the climb up the stairs might be a deterrent, but the views from the rooftop terrace is priceless!!! He assisted us with our luggage up the stairs. We sat and talked for a short time, getting to know him better. He gave us a complete review of the apartment and any operational instructions. He also reviewed our itinerary with us and provided guidance and suggestions, which was very helpful. The location is perfect as we were able to walk to every site we wanted to see. A great morning market in Campo Di Fiori is a great place to visit with many vendors. Restaurants and bars close by. Gelato stand outside our apartment was great too. The apartment is spotless and nicely decorated. It is quite large and much better than a hotel room. Our daughter slept on the sofa, which turns into a full size bed. She was very comfortable. The master bedroom is spacious and comfortable. Very nice bathroom with a shower with multiple heads. All bathroom amenities are included with a sufficient supply of linens and towels. Kitchen is very functional with everything you would expect. We didn't cook, but purchased fruit for breakfast and the refrigerator provided ample space. The best for last...the terrace. Spacious with very nice furniture in which to enjoy wine (the first bottle provided by Luca) and snacks each night before heading out to dinner. The washing machine is located on that level in a small attached room which has extra chairs/tables/candles for the terrace. A nice drying rack so your clothes can dry while you are sightseeing. We arrived on the 6th day of our 11 day trip so the washing machine allowed us to pack efficiently so we didn't have to check our bags on our flights, meaning no lost bags, and getting to your destination quicker. Luca was available by the phone provided, however, we didn't need it except to confirm our taxi to the airport. Umbrellas are provided in case of bad weather, heating and air conditioning was fantastic. I could go on and on, but hopefully you get the message. I highly recommend this rental. If we ever travel to Rome again, we will definitely try to stay here.
Our whole family wants to return to Luca's place, it was fantastic. I guess our favorite part is the terrific location just a block away from Campo di Fiori. We ate in a different restaurant around that square each day and every meal was memorable. The rooftop terrace was great when it wasn't raining but even when it was there is a covered area outside the kitchen that made for a nice place for two to enjoy being outside. Luca has tables and chairs galore for the large terrace, your whole party can enjoy dining up there. Our son was very comfortable on the couch that converts with the addition of a mattress to a bed and the foam bed in the bedroom was very comfortable and needed after all the walking Rome requires. The kitchen was smallish but who goes to Rome to cook? The food is incredible! We stocked the fridge with greens, vegetables, and fruits from the market right next door. So wish we had a market like this at home.
Can't say enough about the owner of the property. Luca makes you feel at home and is very helpful, answering emails quickly before and during the trip. He arranged private car service to and from the airport and we highly recommend. We also ate in Luca's Senior Panini sandwich shop near the Pantheon - again, highly recommended. He is an enterprising young man who will make sure your stay is pleasant.
