About the property

Emerick Cottage was built in 1913 and is set back from the road with large grassy areas for sun and several 100-year-old maple trees for shade. The Catskill mountains views are wonderful in late fall and winter. It's a wonderful property for up to 10 people who want a great country escape with the comforts of home. The outdoor fire pit and 2.5 acre property are ideal for relaxing with family and friends, surrounded by old-growth trees.

The first floor boasts an enclosed wrap around porch with Catskill Mtn. views. Through the front door you enter slate tile foyer with the dining room left and the living room to the right each with soaring 10 ft ceilings. At the back of the house there is the newly appointed country kitchen with a farm house sink, granite counter tops, and all new appliances.

Additionally on the first floor is a large bedroom with new en suite bathroom, bay window, fireplace and king bed.

Rising to the 2nd floor you enter the media room with abundant sofa seating and a flat screen with AppleTV. This floor also has the original master king bedroom, a queen bedroom and two beautifully restored retro bathrooms both with shower and soaking tub.

The 3rd floor offers a large open living/lounge area with two twin beds as well and a private queen bedroom.

This property is the newest addition to Bluestone Basecamp and when both houses are rented together they can accommodate up to 23 adults comfortably

Mark and Ryan resurrected Emerick Cottage which had been abandoned for almost a decade and is now part of Bluestone Basecamp, with Hawk Knoll, the neighboring property, which they run as a B&B/vacation rental.

Wonderful house, great owners and location

We went up to Saugerties for the holiday weekend with another couple and three combined kids. This property was perfect for us - lots of room to spread out in the house, great location with easy access to Saugerties, Woodstock, Kingston, and Catskill, and beautifully redone in a rustic style that was just what we were looking for in a getaway from NYC. Hosts were great and accommodating. Would highly recommend!
