The host was wonderful: helpful, accommodating, gracious. The actual home was down hill from there. The levelor blinds were broken in the bedrooms-slats missing or falling. Sheets for curtains. The home had not been cleaned. We did on arrival due to the amount of dirt on the floors. The beds had deplorable mattresses, the linens on top were dirty and in some places crusty. The bathroom has broken faucets and towel bars. There was no heat, portable heaters provided which blew the fuses. Owner out of town. He shares back of house. States it sleeps five. You think you are renting house, charged per person after 2. I'm spent 18 years in NM and am accustomed to NM housing. This is not a good representation.

Owner's Response: Sorry to hear you weren't satisfied with you stay. your view has some good points and i wish you could have let me know during your stay , i would have sent the cleaning person back out as well as turned the gas heater " usually in NM we wait until its a little colder to turn on the heat . it is a private house. there is second residence in the back. the sheet and house is professionally cleansed before and after each stay . most of your complaints are not in line with other guest you have sade recently

Great Location in Nob Hill

  • 4 of 5

The location of this house was perfect for my visit - two blocks from my cousin and three blocks from Route 66 with great restaurants and a good Co-op food store. It's also close to a Walgreen's and well stocked liquor store. I didn't get a chance to use the kitchen, but I could have made any recipe with the utensils provided. I will definitely be looking to return for the next family visit. Greg is an excellent communicator.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

The home owner is super helpful and the home is in a quiet residential neighborhood but is still close to the cool Nob Hill downtown. Lots of great restaurants and a nice food co-op too. The house had a lot of character but was fun, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Fabulous wifi too!

Location, Location.

  • 4 of 5

This vrbo is only a few blocks from Central's restaurants. It is an older house so the kitchen while fully equipped has not been updated. It did look like a washer and dryer were in the near future. The house was clean and other features in photos like refrigerator and expresso maker are great. During the winter be aware of the central heating grate in the floor which can become hot. The two Queen beds are comfortable. Thank-you, Greg, for being a generous host during the Holidays. My family enjoyed your infinity tv system and excellent wi-fi.

Cozy Bungalow in great location.

  • 4 of 5

This is a cozy traditional bungalow in the vibrant "Nob Hill" neighborhood. Walk 4 blocks to a variety of restaurants & bars. There are modern amenities - fast reliable Wifi, good cable TV and a space-age coffeemaker that we didn't even touch (17 page instruction manual!) Fortunately, there is also a regular coffeemaker.

There are also quirks of an older house - long extension cords needed for electricity in the bedrooms, space heaters needed to warm the bedrooms, a temperamental shower etc. But everything was very clean. Greg is a responsive host however, and is working on bringing up the amenities from an Airbnb experience to more of what is expected on VRBO. Both bedrooms now have comfortable real queen-sized beds for example.

The hot tub only (partly) worked one night of our 3 night stay, but it will be a nice amenity when fully operational. Do note that to get to it, you go out the front door of the house, through a gate & a side yard around to the back. The back yard is large, but not yet fully landscaped.

I'd definitely recommend this house for those who want a great location, a lovely quiet traditional neighborhood and can appreciate quirky charm.
