About Glynne Schultz
My family purchased this Lake House in the winter of 2015. We have taken the two years to completely renovate every inch of this home to create a safe, modern, spacious and overall - wonderful- vacation spot that the family can enjoy for years to come. We've decided to share the results with other families, so that they may also build lasting memories in this lovely spot.

Why Glynne Schultz chose Silver Lake
We have always loved the Finger Lake region, and have made coming to the Silver Lake Drive-In and Letchworth State Park a family tradition for the better part of three decades. Finding a home in this quaint, historic area, right on the water, so close to everything we love and yet still close to Rochester and Buffalo was perfect.
What makes this House unique
No matter what each member of your family/group wants out of a vacation - whether you're hoping for very active outdoor activities, enjoying time inside playing games, visiting local spots and enjoying dining out, bicycling, sightseeing, just relaxing - the house and it's location can accommodate! Unlike some cottages, on very hot days you can escape the heat in our air conditioning and watch one of the 5 TVs. This makes for a happy, stress-less getaway for everyone!
100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
Beautiful spacious but quaint home on Silver Lake
Great house and location, wonderful boathouse to relax in the afternoon sun after hiking and sightseeing , all very wonderful but a little tight at dock to get our 14 foot kayaks onto the lake.
I wish you had discussed this with us during your stay. There is an easier access point for larger kayaks like yours just steps from the boathouse. We would have been happy to share that info with you, rather than lose a star on your rating.
We LOVED this place! It had everything we needed and more! The sunsets we gorgeous! The home was very comfortable! The handicap amenities; wheelchair accessible, bedroom and shower on the main floor, and 2 very comfortable recliners were just perfect! The space in the basement for our 6 teenage boys kept them entertained and though they were loud, it was quiet for the adults on the main floor and top floor. I loved that I didn't have to share a bathroom with 6 teenage boys and was able to give my wheelchair bound friend her own private bathroom. My two year old loved running around outside and looking at the water. The dinning room table was big enough for all of us to play card games and eat dinner together. I wish we could have stayed longer. Really, I could have easily stayed here for 2 weeks even with our crowd of 15; 6 teenage boys, 2 teenage girls, an elder wheel chairbound women, a 2 year old, and 4 other adults. This place easily accommodated so many of us from very different stages in life. AWESOME!!!
My family from all over the country came for my daughter's wedding, in 3 family groups, 9 people all together. They were extremely comfortable and thrilled with 3 bathrooms! There was plenty of room when our local family joined in with them for meals and hanging out. The kitchen had everything they needed and living and dining room furniture was comfortable and plenty of seating for all. It was rainy, so not much lake use but it was right there! Neighbors were friendly and the area was quiet. All around a great stay!
The house is very big, there are lots of bedrooms!! It was clean, they really thought of everything. Beautiful views and loved going for walks!
Great location.....and large enough for almost any group of friends or family.
Great lake view, and located in the historic "institute grounds" at Silver Lake. The owners did a great job renovating and updating the cottage. Fully equipped kitchen. Three floors. Each floor has sleeping areas and a full bath. Washer and dryer located on the lower level.
You can do lots of exploring from this site - Letchworth State Park, Finger Lakes wineries/breweries/distilleries, Niagara Falls, etc. Don't pass up the nearby drive-in and Charcoal Corral. It will take you back 50 years (pack a sweatshirt and blanket if you're from the south like we are). The nearby town of Perry has a nice little craft brewery.
