Awesome

  • 5 of 5

I was here for 2 nights with a bunch of friends and family. We filled every bedroom (15 people) and did not feel cramped in any way. The view was beautiful the fire pit was perfect. There were no neighbors right on top of us so we didn't feel like we had to talk quietly at night while outside at the fire. The platform raft was perfect for fishing with a bunch of people. The furnature, tv and all other amenities available to us were luxurious and worked perfectly. The owner was really nice and gave us nice walk through when we first got there. We made sure to clean up after ourselves and put everything back the way it was when we arrived and made sure we completed though the leaving checklist (supplied by owner) and we got our security deposit back in a timely manner. I have recomended this place to many family and friends of mine. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The perfect balance of rustic and modern, on a gorgeous, quiet Adirondack lake

  • 5 of 5

For years Cobblecrest has been the perfect place for our extended family to spend a week together. Everyone from the youngest children to the teenagers to the grandparents finds the perfect setting and and activities to make this a memorable vacation spot. We spend most of our time on the incredible screened-in porch with a panoramic view of Star Lake. When we can manage to pry ourselves away off the comfy chairs out there, we have everything we need to experience the lake, from the kayaks and canoe to the motorized float that gets us over to the sand bar in no time flat. Linda is a thoughtful, meticulous innkeeper, and she's thought of everything to keep her guests happy. Her affection for Cobblecrest is evident -- she has maintained and restored the property with an eye toward comfort and careful attention to its great history. Linda is always available by email or phone to answer questions, and should any problems arise, she's incredibly responsive to make sure your week isn't interrupted. Star Lake is a very special lake (quiet and pristine), and Cobblecrest is the ideal place to stay when you're there.

Thanksgiving @ Star Lake

  • 5 of 5

My family (11 people) spent the Canadian thanksgiving at Cobble Crest. This home is an inviting and charming place to make memories that will last a lifetime. There was plenty of room for everyone and we all felt warm and welcomed. The house it fully stocked with all the essentials, all you need to bring is food. It feel secluded but there is a hospital right across the road and grocery store 2 minutes away. The covered porch is stunning and the view was nothing stort or breathtaking. We loved exploring the lake on the Kayaks, Canoe and deck boat. We also spent a day biking around the lake on the 10 bikes that are provided. Thanks Linda for making our vacation feel like home.

Fantastic Adirondack Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Cobble Crest has everything you could want in a home away from home. It is beautiful -inside and out. It is clean and well-maintained. The owner is just a text or phone call away to answer questions. The lake remained warm enough to swim even in September and was so clean and picturesque. We loved all parts of the porch which accommodated all 11 of us. Hiking, biking and canoeing was at the front or back door. Fixing meals was a pleasure and eating in the dinning room even better. I really liked hiking to the 300 year old White Pine outside of Wanakena. The Hillside Cafe has the best breakfasts possible. I would like to come back in the winter for cross country skiing.

Autumn in the Adirondacks

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful location, house, scenery and we had perfect weather. I went with a group of women for a midweek getaway the end of September and enjoyed every minute we were there. Biking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, sitting around drinking coffee on the porch in the morning under the many blankets and throws so graciously provided. Just bring your food and clothes, there isn't anything else that you could need that isn't there for your use.

And did I forget riding around Star Lake on the floating dock?? A perfect getaway.
