Very nice,, peaceful hillside view,,cattle grazing,,quiet,
in a fenced garden,, polite dog ok
This is a very unique, quiet setting out in the vineyards
neighboring country of Paso Robles. There are lots of wine tasting close
If you are looking for peace and quiet, then this is the place for you! It's a bucolic setting in a garden on a farm where your nearest neighbors are the cows in the adjacent pasture. There isn't any cell phone service and no live TV, only VCR. Maybe not a problem for some, but it was football playoffs when we there and we are avid fans. Very disappointing! The ten mile drive down a curving road into Paso Robles discouraged us from wine dinners in town, but the cottage is in easy driving distance of several outstanding wineries. Kitchen pots and pans were a bit beaten up, but we managed to cook although my husband had to wear our camper's light because the kitchen lighting was so poor. The cottage has a good bathroom and shower (we appreciated the double sinks), comfortable bed, ample closet space, washer/dryer, beautiful veranda around the house that I'm sure we would have enjoyed if it had not been winter.
Wonderful place for get away from the rat race. Clean house, manicured gardens. Even chickens and a garden! Owners are respectful of your privacy and make all the business very easy. Recommend for a couple and perhaps a small child (Our child was a small dog). Only regret is we didn't have more time to stay! Try it, you'll like it!
The most relaxing and charming place we have been to in years. Close enough to Paso and Cayucos / Morro Bay for dining and right in the middle of wine country. Very private and quiet....we absolutely fell in love with the place.
Hubby, me, and our pup went on a road trip and stayed here for a week. It was so beautiful and quiet! Very tidy place and all the comforts of home. We would venture out in the morning and come back in the afternoon. Sat in the sunshine and enjoyed our dinner meals at the place. So relaxing, we "talked" to the resident bull in the pasture, chatted with the 2 chickens, lol. Everything was clean and looked just like the photos. I would recommend this place plus it is close to many wineries. It's about 6.5 miles to town so not far from stores, etc.
My husband and I loved this property! We had been traveling for 2 months, and it was the perfect spot to slow down - quiet, relaxing, comfortably appointed and a beautiful setting. The house and grounds are lovingly cared for by the owners. We knew there were lots of wineries in the area, but we could not bring ourselves to go exploring. We spent our days relaxing and reading in the sun in the beautiful gardens or hiking through the pastures with our pup. Town is less than 10 miles away, so there are many restaurants, grocery stores and shops in the area if you are looking for activities outside the property. If you book the cottage, please note that there is no cable. We took videos; and the internet is very good, so we were able to stream some movies.
I almost don't want to write a review because I don't want anyone else to know about this incredible spot! The property is like something from a magazine, the house so comfortable and perfect, the chickens, the exercise hut, the fields, the views from the hilltops, all of it couldn't have been more precious and perfect. The owners are kind and gentle, and they leave you with the utmost privacy. And, best of all, they are incredibly dog friendly, which is the most important asset to any rental property! Thanks, Dave and Cecilia! Loved it! Feel honored to have stayed there and hope to again and again.
The Paso Robles area is well know for a wine grape growning area and many well know wineries large and small. Some times referred to as 'little Napa'.
