Overview

About the property

On a high ridge, the house has fantastic panoramic views of the Potomac River and Virginia including the Pentagon, the Washington monument and the Kennedy Center. Blocks from Georgetown University's campus, the exorcist steps, the old Kennedy house and boutique shopping. Near services and great restaurants. Corner house, full of light, with a long Western exposure on the high point of a cobblestone street. The best place to experience Washington from historic Georgetown.

This comfortable 1877, narrow three story, historic property was recently renovated by the architect owner. Design conscious, elegant and comfortable. Fully furnished and equipped with everything you need. The interiors were covered on the front page of the Style Section of the Washington Post.

The house in Georgetown's West Village is convenient to the the main neighborhood hub with shops and restaurants. Cafe´ Milano, a celebrity hangout, if you care, is on the same street 3 blocks down. "Historic" Georgetown Cupcakes is only 2 blocks away for your sugar fix. You are close to the river and the canal for a scenic walk and the houses on the surrounding streets are architecturally interesting too. It is across the street from the Claiborne Pell House and the Prospect House.

Perfect location! Near GU, restaurants, waterfront. Excellently furnished . Best view in DC

Owner is first class. She response on a timely basis and is very attentive to details.

My wife and I stayed here while moving our daughter into GU. The location is very good.

The beautiful property is very unique. The large windows and elevated property allowed us to have great views of the town and river. The balcony was a great retreat.

Thank you for sharing

Truely a great place in Georgetown

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying in this home and would do it again. Was the perfect size for our family of 6 and was close to shopping, restaurants. There's nothing I can think of that we needed that this place didn't have. Great views and a quite neighborhood.

Gorgeous!

  • 5 of 5

This house is stunning - beautifully restored and decorated, unique and historic yet completely comfortable and equipped with all modern amenities. The views and location are incredible. We also loved the balcony, which seems a rarity in Georgetown, and the easy self check-in. The host, Marilyn, is very gracious and responsive and provided great recommendations for local restaurants (District Donuts is a must). This is a special property- I hope to stay here again on my next visit to D.C.
