We both grew up in Michigan and have always loved all that the four seasons have to offer. Snowmobiling in the winter and golf and boating in the summer, and lets not forget the beautiful fall colors and the morals in the spring.
Donald or Kimberly LaForest purchased this house in 2012
Great fishing. Less than one hour to many other northern Michigan destinations.
Private, peaceful, quiet lake. This is ideal for those vacationers looking to get away from it all and enjoy the quiet beauty northern michigan has to offer.
We snowmobiled on Friday. Saturday went shopping. Out to dinner at Marsh Ridge. Favorite moments were playing cards with our daughter & husband. We don't get to do that much anymore.
We had a wonderful stay here. Nice and clean and loved having the washer and dryer. We would recommend this to some of our friends back home that also come up here.
Could use a few more little skillets for frying eggs and some plastic utensils and a toaster.
We enjoyed our stay here very much.
Our family stayed a week in this spacious home on the quiet FawnLake. Plenty of room for 6 adults and one child, w/ room left over. The pontoon and paddle boats were allot of fun. We all enjoyed swimming and fishing. We caught quite a few nice sized bass off the boats, sun fish and small pan fish from the dock. We also took day trips to Mackinac Island and the Call of the Wild Museum. The owner's are very kind, and came right over when we called them. There's a small farm market nearby, and a restaurant called Gobbler's that has great turkey dinners, if you don't feel like cooking one night. We had a nice vacation, and will recommend it to friends and family. It was great having a washer and dryer too!
My family and I stayed a week at this wonderful home on Fawn Lake. The house was spacious, clean, and a perfect setting for extreme relaxation. We ate almost every single meal on the deck with the beautiful lake view. We used the pontoon boat and paddle boat every day. The lake was very quiet and we were often the only ones on it. When not boating and enjoying the view, we were swimming. The owners were very friendly, easy to work with, and very attentive to whatever our needs were. The booking process for the property was very easy. The home having a washer and dryer made it so we didn't have to take home dirty clothes. We had great weather during our week with only one day of rain. At this property you feel like you are out in the woods but you still are close enough to go to town for a movie, a restaurant, or to shop at Walmart (Gaylord being 15 minutes away). We truly felt all of our cares and worries melt away once we got to the property. It was by far one of most relaxing vacations our family has ever taken. To add to all these wonderful things, the property is very affordable for a family. I highly recommend this property. We would stay her again without hesitation. If our future vacation plans take us to this area again, you can be sure I will try to book this property. Thank you Don and Kim for a great vacation.
Just returned from a week stay at this location. House was large, clean, and had all the amenities. The owners were pleasant to deal with and very responsive to any questions we had. Very centrally located with just about everything in the tip of the mitt within about an hour or so drive. Great bass and blue gill fishing on the lake.
During our stay we had day trips to:
Petsosky, Harbor Springs, Cross Village
Mackinaw City, Cheboygan, Indian River
and of course Gaylord.
Many restaurants and shops in the area, lots to see and do. We definitely plan on returning!
Thanks Don and Kim !
We stayed a week at this home and very impressed on how clean it was. Very spacious and roomy. The fact that towels and bedding were provided was a bonus. Washer and dryer too. My 3 boys loved fishing off the dock, pontoon boat rides, paddle boat rides and nighttime fires. We loved the location. We were able to travel to the upper peninsula for a day, Petosky for a day and went canoeing and kayaking in Grayling. Would highly recommend this home!!
We loved our stay at this home. Everything was clean, paper products, towels, sheets and kitchen items were all provided, which was GREAT! There was 10 people in our group, 6 adults and 4 kids, and we had a fabulous week. The kids really enjoyed fishing off the dock and swimming. The lake was so peaceful, most days we were the only ones out in the water. The boat was such a great bonus! We have ORV's and were able to ride right from the house to the trails. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you! We will plan on returning soon!
The house was wonderful! It was very clean and had everything we could need. It was on a private lake, with no-wake allowed and was so quiet and peaceful! I would definitely recommend this setting for anyone seeking a relaxing vacation.
Located on the 45th Parallel. We are on a beautiful no wake lake with great fishing. This vacation rental is directly in the center of Michigans golf mecca and is conveniently located next to hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails. Don't forget the Morals in the spring, and the Colors in the fall!
