This beautifully furnished 2 king bedroom, 2.5 bath house (sleeps 6 adults maximum) is in the eclectic Clarksville neighborhood of Austin. It is one block off West 6th Street and within walking distance to most SXSW venues and ACL. RATES ARE HIGHER DURING THESE EVENTS. You have the best of both worlds here, a quiet neighborhood with easy access to everything Austin has to offer. We are within walking distance of many of Austin's top restaurants. The landmark Whole Foods Market (their first store) is 1/2 mile from our front door. For runners and cyclists, Shoal Creek hike and bike trail is a few blocks Northeast, and Zilker Park is just a few blocks South.

The house features include modern eat-in kitchen (with flat-screen TV), living room, and den with state of the art 4K UltraHD 55 inch flat screen and American Leather sectional downstairs; and two master suites (both with king beds) upstairs, both with flat-screen TVs. We have just put in granite counter tops in the kitchen and both bathrooms upstairs. A queen size Aerobed and a large sectional sofa offer additional sleeping options. Enjoy eating and entertaining outside on our private patio.

It is an owner-occupied house much of the year so it is very well furnished and decorated. Call Bob or Lisa with any questions.

Clarksville is the best place to live (and vacation) in Austin. It is so centrally located. We had been looking at houses in this neighborhood for quite some time, and finally we lucked out when this house came on the market.

I could not have had a better experience

From the moment I pulled up to the house, I fell in love with the neighborhood. It was so quiet, clean and beautiful. Then I entered the house and never for a minute considered it to be a rental house. I could tell it was someone's home and they had put so much care into everything from the design to the amenities. It was spotless. The kitchen was filled with anything you could need. Top quality furniture, appliances, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, linens, bath accessories throughout. I wish I had more time to have used the house in order to enjoy everything it had to offer. It had many areas to sit and enjoy yourself. A comfy living room and den and outdoor areas. I used Fasten car service and they were there in 3 minutes every time. Bob could not have been nicer and was so helpful and accommodating. He was truly grateful to have me renting his home. I felt grateful to have found it. I went during SXSW and thought I was going to rent a house in order to avoid the jacked up prices at the hotels, but I received way more than a bargain. I received the warmth of a beautiful home that was perfect in every way. I will never consider any other place to stay in Austin. It was quite the find.

Overall, it could not have been nicer. It would have been really great if we would have had guests.

My overall experience was simply outstanding. I was most impressed with the cleanliness of everything & it felt special like home where not thousands of others had just visited. I only wished we had been able to have others over to enjoy some of the features like common rooms & porches; it was so comfortable. Loved the decorating & art. I hope to stay there again!!

Great experience and a great house!

I rented this house for one month while I stayed in Austin for work. The owner couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. He upgraded the internet for me as I was working and living in the space for a month and purchased a scanner/copier/printer for my use as well. The location of the house is superb. The house itself was very comfortable and inviting, it felt like home right from the gecko. I would definitely recommend this rental, and will also be back myself for another great rental experience!

A comfortable house in a great location with a welcoming host.

The house was very comfortable, and looked and felt even better than the pictures suggested. It was great to have two bedrooms en suite; almost like separate apartments, the privacy was unusually good as we couldn't even hear things in other parts of the house. The beds were comfy, the dining room well designed, the sitting areas very relaxing.

This is a wonderful location in Austin. As city folk we appreciated that we could walk to coffee, groceries, good food, one of the best book stores in the country, as well as parks, walking trails and more.

The host was one of the best we've encountered on home rentals. Where others have long lists of dos and don'ts , this host was relaxed and gracious. We borrowed his bicycle, drank some bottled water, and felt relaxed and comfy. A

Overall a fine rental. The place was spotless, the neighborhood quiet and enjoyable, the house a welcoming place to hang out in or return to each night.The big tv had such a good picture we are going to buy one just like it soon.

Great house and great location in Austin.

My wife and I stayed here for five weeks this fall. We had a wonderful time.

The home is very comfortable, clean and well-appointed and, as advertised, the location is great. We always walked to nearby restaurants (our favorites were 24 Diner, Cafe Josie and Galaxy Cafe), Whole Foods, REI, Enfield Drug and Fresh Plus grocery. Trader Joe's is walkable, but we did not. We found the neighborhood nice and friendly; there is a large, well kept park about 3 blocks away. For exercise, it is possible to walk to the local YMCA and to the hike-and-bike trail around Lady Bird Lake, but not trivial. The house has two attractive master suites on the second floor. The downstairs features an open living room, a delightful TV room and is roomy enough for moderate sized gatherings. There is room to sit outside and grill, if you are of a mind to, but not much usable yard space. Bob, the owner, was very friendly and responsive when we got in touch.

We would certainly stay again in this lovely home near downtown Austin.

A taste of urban living in a quiet, classic Old Austin neighborhood. Great evening walks to many fantastic restaurants, including Z-Tejas, Cafe Josie, Jeffrey's, Winflo, Clark's Oyster Bar, Sweetish Hill Bakery, and too many others to list!! Zilker Park and the Shoal Creek hike and bike trail are only a few blocks away. Shops and art galleries abound. The land mark original Whole Foods Market is 1/2 mile away.
