House, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6)

This beautifully furnished 2 king bedroom, 2.5 bath house (sleeps 6 adults maximum) is in the eclectic Clarksville neighborhood of Austin. It is one block off West 6th Street and within walking distance to most SXSW venues and ACL. RATES ARE HIGHER DURING THESE EVENTS. You have the best of both worlds here, a quiet neighborhood with easy access to everything Austin has to offer. We are within walking distance of many of Austin's top restaurants. The landmark Whole Foods Market (their first store) is 1/2 mile from our front door. For runners and cyclists, Shoal Creek hike and bike trail is a few blocks Northeast, and Zilker Park is just a few blocks South.

The house features include modern eat-in kitchen (with flat-screen TV), living room, and den with state of the art 4K UltraHD 55 inch flat screen and American Leather sectional downstairs; and two master suites (both with king beds) upstairs, both with flat-screen TVs. We have just put in granite counter tops in the kitchen and both bathrooms upstairs. A queen size Aerobed and a large sectional sofa offer additional sleeping options. Enjoy eating and entertaining outside on our private patio.

It is an owner-occupied house much of the year so it is very well furnished and decorated. Call Bob or Lisa with any questions.

Clarksville is the best place to live (and vacation) in Austin. It is so centrally located. We had been looking at houses in this neighborhood for quite some time, and finally we lucked out when this house came on the market.

Gorgeous home and fantastic location!

This home, the property, and amenities were all top notch and located walking distance to great restaurants (we especially liked Winflo Osteria and Clark's Oyster Bar). Bob could not have been a more gracious host, making sure that we had everything we needed (including coffee and a complimentary round of drinks!). This was a wonderful rental experience and we would absolutely recommend this this place to anyone visiting Austin!

Great option for SXSW or downtown event.

My colleagues and I recently stayed at this property for SXSW Interactive. Its a great location and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Bob was really great to work with and made every effort to make sure we had everything we needed...even down to some great local recommendations for shopping and dining.

Great House in West Austin

My wife, 24 year old son, and I took a last-minute trip out to Austin to visit friends and ended up finding a gem of a place to stay.

The home is updated, very well-maintained, and had all the necessities for a home-away-from-home. The pictures and description on VRBO are accurate, if not understated. The neighborhood in which this house sits was safe, quiet (except for the occasional train horn late at night), and welcoming. Parking was very easy, yet we found we walked as often as we used the rental car.

While the owner does live in the house when not rented, this place felt like more like a well-stocked vacation home than an owner-occupied house. There was plenty of space for our belongings in the dresser, as well as in the pantry and frig. That said, we really only used the frig and pantry for breakfast food, beer and snacks because there were so many world-famous BBQ restaurants just a short drive away that we opted out lunch and dinner.

I would stay here again for sure. Thanks Bob!

We liked this place so much that we've already recommended it to friends.

Enjoyed Our Stay Here

Bob was very quick to answer our request on his home, and very kind. I knew we could call at anytime about questions that we had. He was right about location...several restaurants nearby, Galaxy for breakfast was a favorite of mine to walk to. The little grocery store was good if you didn't want to drive to Whole Foods, although I did quite often! Easy access to downtown area. We were there during Superbowl, so the 55 in. HD tv was nice to have. Beds were very comfortable! It was easy to feel at home here. We would definitely stay again...thank you Bob and Lisa for sharing your home!

This house was perfect for what we needed.

It is SO hard to find two King suites but it was so necessary for this trip because our men are so tall. Also, the kitchen was very well stocked. We were able to host a small reunion with friends for New Years Day and the kitchen easily provided enough utensils to cook and serve 12 people. Thank you for letting us use your wine. I would ask to have some champagne glasses but one of our friends son is a sommelier, he likes to use a wine glass. So we didn’t need any because there were more than enough wine glasses! The house was located just 1/2 block off of 6th street and we walked to the Whole Food store, the river, a lovely Italian restaurant, Winflo, but there was also other shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance. The neighborhood provided a great work out with the hills and winding streets. Just a lovely area. We will definitely keep this house in our vacation files! Thank you, Bob, for all your help and suggestions for things to do in the area. We should have had you over for a glass of wine!

A taste of urban living in a quiet, old neighborhood. Great evening walks to many fantastic restaurants, including Z-Tejas, Cafe Josie, Jeffrey's, Winflo, Clark's Oyster Bar, Sweetish Hill Bakery, and too many others to list!! Zilker Park and the Shoal Creek hike and bike trail are only a few blocks away. Shops and art galleries abound. The land mark original Whole Foods Market is 1/2 mile away.
