Caribbean blue water and spectacular views! Seas the Moment is everything you could want in a luxury Caribbean vacation villa.
Repeat Caribbean travelers know that the East End of St. Thomas is where you'll find the best hotels, restaurants, and beaches. Access to the Virgin Islands National Park and beautiful beaches of St. John is just a short ferry ride away. Or hop on a charter boat in Red Hook and visit the nearby British Virgin Islands. Enjoy a painkiller at the world famous Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost van Dyke.
You can walk to the Ritz-Carlton, the St. Thomas Yacht Club, & a health club and spa from the villa. Formal and informal dining at the Caribbean Fish Market and Sangria's beach side bistro is available onsite as well.
Traveling the Caribbean for more than 25 years we knew some day we would return and stay! We chose 'Seas the Moment' on St. Thomas as our Caribbean home and are happy to share it with you.
While we're not on island all the time we've chosen the best on-island concierge team. Sharon & Carlene with Calypso Realty will arrange for your personal transport from the airport and are available 24/7 to make sure your stay is memorable.
Carlene LaPlace purchased this condo in 2012
We chose 'Seas the Moment' for its location in a great community, the amazing views, the beach, and the reliable, cooling, tradewind breezes.
The view from our veranda is stunning. The sunrises are breathtaking. Watch the yachts depart and anchor. Be as active or as relaxed as you desire. The villa is located just steps from a quiet, kid friendly beach. For the more adventurous, there is good snorkeling along the rocks. For the more laid back, relax at a gorgeous beachfront pool and have a drink from the pool bar. Enjoy lunch at Sangria's open air, casual, beachfront restaurant.
We are located in a private, gated, beachfront community. In addition, a security guard greets every car in the evenings.
The weather was beautiful. Perfect temps low-mid 80's. We made friends with a sting ray and some nurse sharks at Coki Beach and Coral World. Also nice snorkeling at Trunk Bay on St. John. Loved the shopping in Charlotte Amalie! While you're there try eating at Gladys Restaurant, very authentic island fare. The Cowpet Bay complex was nice, clean, calm waters and really a pleasant experience overall!
My husband and I, along with my brother, sister-in-law and adult nephews enjoyed a stay here just before the holidays and we all had a great time. Six of us and we never felt crowded. Everyone had their own private space to escape to along with their own bath. I would suggest renting a car and exploring the Island...so many beautiful places and beaches to see. The views are stupendous, but keep your eyes on the road. If you prefer to just stay at the condo, its very doable. Steps down to the beach, a beautiful bay to swim and comfortable places to sit in the sun or the shade, rest rooms nearby, pool, bar, restaurants for lunch and dinner what else could you want? Oh, a great, well equipped kitchen too. Bring a couple or two with you and make some memories...enjoy a great time at Seas the Moment on Cowpet Bay.
This was my second trip to Seas The Moment and can't wait to go back. I consider it my home away from home. Has everything anyone can need: sleeps 8, full kitchen, washer and dryer, less than a 5 minute walk from the beach, close to the ferry to St. John. We arrived on Saturday and immediately went to the grocery store less than 10 minutes away. After stocking up on food for the week, went back to the condo to relax. The next day we were off on Bad Kitty for a day trip to the Baths to explore, Coopers Island for lunch, Norman Island to snorkel and Yost Van Dyke to the Soggy Dollar Bar. What a great trip! The crew was great and very helpful. I highly recommend this trip. Monday was a secret spot close to Megan's Bay. The water is so beautiful. We spent hours just bopping in the ocean. Wednesday was a ferry trip to St. John's to explore an old plantation, the beaches and shopping at Mongoose Junction. Friday morning was spent at a local Tea House and then exploring Charlotte Amaile. We went to Mountain Top for a spectacular view on the Magen’s Bay and the surrounding islands. Then into town to explore the shops and flea market. We went out to dinner that night to Latitude 18 for some great food and live music. The roti was delicious!! Saturday was yoga and church at night in Charlotte Amaile. The rest of the time was beach hoping and relaxing. Seas The Moment is a perfect place to hang out and relax. It’s away from the center of time but close enough to all you need. I spent my down time sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean reading books. We made breakfast, most lunches and dinners there. The kitchen is modern and has everything you could need. It’s great to be able to have a quiet breakfast in your pj’s and eat what you want, how you want it. We even went to the local fish market which is actually a group of men with trucks with fresh fish in the back beds. The fish were caught that very morning and were so tasty cooked on the barbecue. The condo has 3 separate suites with their own bathroom for privacy. Has TV’s in each bedroom and free wife to use. It even has a library of books and games to use. Love Seas The Moment. I highly recommend it and plan to go back as soon as possible.
traveled to Seas the Moment for a week after my daughters returned home from college. The entire trip couldn't have been made easier. We were met at the airport and guided to the condo. It was absolutely gorgeous! Carlton showed us around the unit and made sure we were comfortable before we left. The beach was a short walk where there were restaurants and lots of lounge chairs. The condo was well equipped and can easily handle 6-8 adults. This being my second trip to the island, I initially wasn't going to rent a car. On the advice of the realtor I did rent one (but be prepared to drive on the "wrong" side of the road!). It is a necessity as taxis are not as readily available as they are at the resorts. Centrally located, we were able to travel around the island easily. Its a great place to stay in a great location. I highly recommend it and hope to return in the near future.
I have said this in another forum, but others may have a preference to this one. If you had wanted to design a getaway place where you could combine a wonderful and picturesque location, has friendly and caring people, and great accommodations in an incredible part of the world, you would choose “Seas the Moment”. We welcomed in our fortieth anniversary and couldn’t have picked a better place to be. Easy access from the airport via Curlson whom we followed to the condo, and Calypso [Carlene in particular] couldn’t have been nicer to make us feel at home. We had a good orientation to the island and its activities and places to consider which was not only fun but helpful. The complex is ‘first time visitor friendly’, easy to get around to the different restaurants, beaches, and activities, including excellent snorkeling and swimming in a post card type of setting no matter where you looked. The condo had everything that you could possibly need for either dining in or saying “good bye” and heading out to eat. Rooms were perfect, clean and comfortable, and the views were spectacular. Lots of things to do in town and an easy drive or ferry ride to explore the islands, shop, learn about the history and culture, share stories, and just have fun.
Family of five spent a wonderful week. Condo was perfect location for day trips. The views were amazing. Pool and beach were to ourselves most of the time. Easy drive to Red Hook and the ferry to St. John. Two good restaurants to walk to. Perfect vacation spot.
Super location for visits to Red Hook (ferry to St. John) and Charlotte Amalie. The condo itself was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Two master suites with king-sized beds, private baths and a great patio for lounging with a refreshment after a long day of swimming and snorkeling. The kitchen was new, pleasant to cook in and very well equipped. Best of all, waking up to the stunning views. The beach below was uncrowded and featured a pool, bar, restrooms and two very good restaurants. I would also recommend the catamaran, Daydreamer for a full day of fun. We snorkeled, sailed to a couple locations on Jost Van Dyke, the beach at The Soggy Dollar and lunch at Foxy's Beach Restaurant. The five adults in our party were very comfortable with plenty of privacy. We really enjoyed this place!
Full exercise/weight room, kayak/water toy rentals and full service Seagrape Spa onsite at neighboring Elysian resort. (Services available at additional fee).
