It's spacious and comfortable. Choose your level of activity; have a quiet vacation, sample Gap restaurants or nightclub activity. Relax by the pool or takes 20 steps down to the beach for a different relaxation.
The ability to be in the heart of St. Lawrence Gap activities on the street or just casually observing the action from the North balcony. Alternately, retire to the ocean front patio and be soothed by the incoming waves. Experience a night's sleep massaged by the background Caribbean Sea.
Really comfortable and convenient stay for our family of 5 (two adults and three young kids). Way better than spending a week in a hotel in the Gap. Colin was friendly and professional. We hope to make it back soon to this beautiful island.
We stayed in 412 is on the 4th floor of this 14 apartment complex right on a rocky beach. The sea is not calm. Our flight delay meant we arrived well into the evening. However, the owner was there to greet us, help us up (10 steps before the lift !) and in with all the luggage. First impressions were GREAT! The apartment is HUGE as is the balcony. The owner then asked us if he could take us to the supermarket! On our return, he again helped us up and in with the shopping. Great Service 👍𣐮
Cleanliness is not a top priority, especially in the kitchen, and the apartment contents are a little tired. Maintenance is also a problem here as quite a few things don't work well, or at all, as in the case of the dishwasher. However, this was replaced with one that almost fitted, in a few days.
The central area can be a little noisy and this can be heard later at night especially in the back bedroom. However, with lots of restaurants, a few bars, and a nice buzz about it, the benefits far outweigh any occasional slight disturbance.
The pool is very small, and ok just for a dip. The small beach is sandy but entry to the sea is rocky, and the sea slightly rough. We walked along the road and in through the complex next door as their section of beach was a little calmer, and had a less rocky entry to the sea.
My partner is ultra clean, and I am ultra fussy about things that don't work. The apartment could be cleaner, and the maintenance could be a lot better. However, the apartment is great, the views are stunning, and the location suited us just fine. Would we go back? Definitely!!
Upgrade it, get a new cleaner, and it's a 4 or 5 star !
Location: couldn't be better! The Gap on one side and the ocean on the other. I wasnt bothered at all by the noise with a fan on. Easily walkable to bars/restaurants and Dover beach. Short ride to the airport and Oistons although we chose to beach hop our way there.
Accommodation: lots of space for 4 of us - could definitely accommodate more as there is a futon for 1 person. Balcony is huge and having an incredible oceanview meant we didn't have to leave. 2 bathrooms was great and next time I'll have to try the jetted tub. Beds, linens and pillows were comfortable. A lot of storage space. The appliances aren't brand new but everything was in working condition including the blender for ice drinks. The TV even had Canadian hockey...
Beach/pool: nice private sandy spot. Helpful to have beach shoes for those that prefer but I was happy without. Chairs are provided with the rental. Small pool available but we barely used.
Host - Colin was always helpful and even organized a cab waiting for us in the chaos of the airport. Very friendly, understanding and accommodating.
Would definitely return!
This is a great spot to come and relax to the sound of the ocean. We had a great time and we're not bothered by any street noise that some talk about in this area. Colin was great and even let us leave our luggage there til later in the day. He's also local if there are any problems. I definitely will return
We stayed in the apartment for 9 nights from January 4 to January 13, 2016. The property looks very much as pictured, it is not brand new but everything works fine, so no complaints. We are a couple with two fairly big kids and we enjoyed that the bedrooms are on the opposite sides of the apartment The location is very good, a small beach is private and a big Dover beach is just around the corner. The owner-manager was very responsive and answered questions right away. Internet is very fast which helped a lot as I had to do some work during vacation. We can certainly recommend this property.
This was our first trip to Barbados and our 21 and 23 year old son and daughter joined us . We had a fabulous trip and loved our accommodations at Mistle cove . The location of the condo in the St Lawrence gap area was perfect with lots of great restaurants and bar options right next door . Beautiful Dover beach was a 5 minute walk and we also had a nice little strip of beach right in front of our condo . The unit was a large , clean and had everything you could ask for . The deck overlooks the ocean and it is huge - awesome !! Colin Deane is the owner of the unit and he was a pleasure to deal with , very responsive and helpful .
I would highly recommend staying at 412 Mistle cove and when come back to Barbados we will definitely try and book this unit .
