About Richard Russell

Purchased and renovated twice by a Las Vegas resident (originally from New York), manager, wife and two beautiful boys currently spend their time equally between Las Vegas, Brian Head and Thailand. As second owner of this property, and having called this residence home for many of the 27 years that we have owned this residence, this is the first time this house has been made available for rent to the public.

The property is owned by Russboworld Utah LLC, a registered company in Nevada. It is managed by the owners of Russboworld Utah.

Because of the time zone difference between Thailand and the USA, it may take a few hours for us to respond to your inquiries.

Richard Russell purchased this house in 1989

Why Richard Russell chose Utah

Back in the late 1980's, when most homes in the Brian Head area were of basic design and construction, this home stood out as a very unique and modern design. Besides its excellent location within the actual city limits, which offers the benefits of city snow plowing, electricity, city sewer and water, the siting of the home is unique in that it faces the Brian Head ski area directly, with unrestricted and spectacular views of the mountain directly in front, and the Brian Head valley below. With few residences in the area, the location offers the convenience and safety of city access, yet ignores the common hustle and bustle of other housing areas and condo units. A large deck built off of the second level living room has one of a kind magnificent views of the surrounding area, ski resort, Bristlecone Pond, and Brian Head mountain. Few homes in Brian Head offer these types of views of the ski area. When purchased in 1989, the four story house demonstrated excellent build and design quality which was not common back in those days. Two major renovations led to a redesign of the master suite, with modern Kohler fixtures, showers, and baths, enlarged picture windows, decks, additional rooms, basement renovation, and a complete kitchen redesign and overhaul. An office was installed, four fireplaces, electric and gas heat, with modern appliances throughout. A home theater area was built with a sixty inch LED television, Blu Ray / DVD, satellite TV, and internet.

The ski area, shopping and retail mall, and Bristlecone Pond, is a two minute drive on city plowed streets.

What makes this house unique

One of the few houses that has an overwhelming unrestricted view of Brian Head mountain. It is one of the few houses with a modern contemporary look. Four stories in height, with a modern staircase connecting all levels, it is a masterpiece of design. Two major renovations have improved the property dramatically. Few residences offer the views of the Brian Head ski resort and valley that this home does. It is a unique residence, basically unmatched in the area.

Very nice home, all the amenities, great location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights for some spring skiing. The house is easy to find and great location to both the ski lodges. There were 10 of us, but the house layout with the 5 different levels didn't make it feel as cramped as some ski home rentals. Everything you need from the kitchen to the towels is provided in the home making it extremely convenient for a group to pack clothes and food for their stay and everything else you need is provided.

Communication from the owner was fantastic. Richard answered all of our questions quickly and provided all the information we needed before the stay, during the stay and departing the home. The documents he provides cover all the bases on anything you need to know for staying in his home. The bed in the master bedroom was firm, which we were expecting based on other reviews, but a foam pad that was provided helped soften it.

Owner's Response: The new bed, a Sealy Posturepedic Plus Barrett Court III Plush Euro Pillow Top, will be available in the master suite towards the end of May. We're still waiting for the weather to clear. (It's May 1, and they're getting lots of snow!)

We reserved this 4bd home for a family bday vacation in Brianhead.

3 couples & 3 children made great use of this property.

We LOVED the indoor hot tub & views from the balconies!

We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful!!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is better in person pictures don't do it justice... Had everything we needed and more... Hate to even write this and would of given 5 stars but the master bedroom bed is the worst bed I have ever slept in hard as rock floor might've been better we took our family up there which was amazing but after the first night everyone slept amazing and we realized that we had the only bed in the house that didn't feel like clouds if your a firm bed kinda person than the bed is for you and I mean firm by the 4th nite it was unbearable for us but we have a new appreciation for our bed at home now 😜.. Even with that I still highly recommend this cabin it really is breathtaking

Owner's Response: We agree. It's a firm bed, probably a bit too firm for some. And, we have a replacement for it. A Sealy Posturepedic Cal King Plush Euro Pillow Top mattress, and it's absolutely heavenly. But it's in Las Vegas, waiting for the winter weather to calm down. The new mattress for the master bedroom should be transported up there sometime in the spring. The other mattresses had been replaced this past autumn 2015.

Perfect ski vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our ski vacation with 10 (6 children). The bottom level was well stocked with games, videos, etc. for the children. The house is supplied with ample linens and the kitchen had all the utensils and cooking pans, bowls, etc. for our needs. The stairs can be a challenge when not used to the high altitude, but we adjusted. The views from the house were spectacular. My only suggestion would be for the owner to change the picture of the coffee pot as the picture shows a grind and brew coffee maker so I took coffee beans. The coffee maker requires ground coffee. The house was very clean and the listing describes it in perfect detail. The owner provides excellent information regarding the house and very helpful for planning. Would we rent the house again? Absolutely!

Owner's Response: OOPS! I screwed up. This is what happens when you have a non coffee drinker in charge of the kitchen. I have already resolved the issue; a "coffee grinder brewer" thing has been purchased and installed to supplement the other "coffee thing" I had up there.

Both cozy and large

A four-level, three-bedroom getaway with multiple places to hang out. It was very relaxing, and has incredible views.
