Beautiful, luxury, elevated apartment, on the famous Alto Golf & Country Club. Facing a delightful water garden, with views of twinkling lights and lovely sunsets over the bay of Lagos, and not overlooked, this apartment has about the best situation on the complex. The 2 bedrooms, are carpeted, and each has twin beds, is well furnished and comfortable with plenty of storage space. The master bedroom, has a TV and patio doors. The sitting room has 2 sofas & an easy chair, air-conditioning, a log-burning stove, Sky TV, video, CD and DVD players, books & games.The dining area seats 6.The generous balcony is accessed from both the master bedroom & sitting room and is furnished to seat 6 people, and has 2 sprung sun-loungers with mattresses & lighting. The modern kitchen is very well equipped, including, full size cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washing machine, microwave, food mixer & processor with ample china, cutlery & utensils & granite worktops. The two bathrooms are fully equipped and have marble vanities.

Hello, I'm Chris. I want to make your holiday experience the very best. I am always available by 'phone or email, and happy to attend your every holiday need. I can arrange taxi transfers, & cot-hire, recommend car-hire & restaurants. I have been renting out this property for 17 years, and have many returning guests, who of course, have become friends. My guests get free use of sports equipment including 3 sets of golf clubs.

This property has a wonderful location on the Alto Club, it is not overlooked and very peaceful & private. The Alto is the ONLY 5-star establishment in the area, Set in acres of sub-tropical gardens, yet close to the beach & the village, there is no place quite like it in Alvor. Imagine waking up to the lovely views across the bay of Lagos every morning, and dining under the stars on the balcony in the evenings. All within an easy stroll to the wonderful beach & lively village

In a nutshell, this location & this apartment have it all. Established long enough to have mellowed, and immaculately maintained & equipped. The staff are friendly & helpful. The local people are warm & wonderful, and they remember you, when you visit a restaurant for a second time. Once you have visited The Alto Club, nowhere else in the region is quite good enough. The Algarve is the sunniest holiday destination in Europe with more than 300 says of sunshine per year.

The en-suite master bedroom also has TV & patio doors leading to the sunny balcony. There is ample storage space, lighting & mirrors to both bedrooms, and both are equipped with hair-dryers, clock radios and more than enough clothes hangers with all linen available, and cots & folding beds may be hired either on site, or prior to departure.

Home from Home Fantastic Apartment

This was our second visit to Alvor and our first time in Chris & Tony Apartment, The Apartment is immaculate and so are the grounds, location was perfect just a couple of minutes to the beach and a nice stroll to the harbour, Chris and Tony should be proud to be the owners of this lovely property they have thought of everything. I would recommend this property without a doubt, Pool area is very quiet and peaceful just the way we like it. I would hope in the future that I will visit 40c again but I will need to book early!!!!! Thanks again to Chris & Tony for everything the done for me and my family. Donna & Stephen

Well equipped homely apartment

Stayed for 2 weeks at the beginning of November just as the weather turned cooler. Once we got used to the log fire we were happy with the temperature in the apartment and found it very cosy. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is always plenty of hot water for showers etc. The complex is very well maintained and is only 15 minute's walk into Alvor.

We enjoyed our holiday have booked again for February 2017

Well equiped home from home luxury apartment

We stayed at the apartment for eleven nights.

The apartment is really nice and exceptionally well furnished on a superb site.

From the moment we arrived to the day we had to leave, we both had a fantastic relaxing stay.

The weather was really hot when we arrived for the first five days and then a welcomed breeze arrived to cool things down more to our liking.

Alvor is still as charming as ever and has not really changed over the years and we hope to re-visit in the near future.

Bearing that in mind, we would most certainly stay at this apartment again as it is like home from home. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need even down to beach towels which are provided,

Great Winter Break

We have visited this site many times, but this is the first time we have stayed in 'Tidings'. Chris and Tony were very welcoming from the outset, and couldn't have been more helpful. The property was similar to others we have stayed in, but we could tell it was very much their second home rather than just a rental.

The Alto Club is great site with nice gardens and two pools, plus a gym and tennis courts for the more energetic. We restricted ourselves to a gentle stroll into town each evening and although a lot of restaurants were closed, there were still plenty to choose from. Our favourites were the Alvor Wine bar and 'O Arco da Velha' , where the fish is magnificent.

Alvor was very quite and the weather was cloudy but pleasantly warm and quite hot when the sun broke through.

Excellent apartment, a real home away from home.

We stayed in Tidings in September 2015. The apartment was true to the photos and was beautiful. It was very clean, nicely decorated and well furnished. It was very well equipped and we wanted for nothing. There were plenty of hangers in the wardrobes and extra pillows, sheets, blankets and towels.

We found the use of a safe very welcome the free wi-fi was handy. In the last apartment we stayed in on Alto Golf there was a safe but not for guest use and there was no wi-if in the apartment itself and we found it iconvenient having to go down to reception to access wi-if there.

We always hire a car and it was good to have a space in the underground car park out of the sun.

I was in contact quite a lot with Chris before we went away and she was always extremely friendly and helpful, I can understand why Chris and Tony have a lot of returning guests, we have already booked again for next year and we would recommend their property to anyone wanting an apartment in Alvor.

The Alto Club complex is very well maintained and the gardens are lovely with various water gardens.

We have stayed in Alvor a lot so know it well but there are still some restaurants we have yet to try. One of our favourites is Adega de Alvor and the fish restaurants in the harbour are all very good, we also love O'Candeiro on the beach, though wherever we've eaten we've never had a bad meal. Central Cafe do excellent cooked breakfasts and we often stop there for a drink at night and the staff are really friendly and welcoming.

I can guarantee you'll have a fabulous holiday in Alvor and at Tidings.

Fabulous family holiday

We have just returned from this lovely apartment and had a great holiday. The apartment has everything you could want and is in a great location within 5 minutes walk to Alvor. There was plenty to keep our children (11 and 13) amused, they enjoyed playing on site tennis, and table tennis, and using both the indoor and outdoor pools which were very well kept and clean. Alvor has great beaches and numerous amazing restaurants. We would highly recommend you visit , and hope to return one day again ourselves.
