Okay, so you and your family or associates are looking for a place on the Coast for that reunion or meeting. You're looking for someplace quiet and private, away from the throngs milling about with their taffy and trinkets. Look no more! This modern 3-bedroom home (2 bedrooms in the main house plus a private, 1 bedroom studio with a separate entrance) is waiting for you. Located on Arch Cape - an unsullied sliver of Oregon Coast just minutes from Cannon Beach and Manzanita - it's dodged the bullet of developers and offers stupendous views from its perch on an escarpment overlooking the Pacific, including (in season) views of migrating whales!
The ocean is visible from just about every corner of Bear's Head. Feel the Pacific breezes as you sip a drink out on the wraparound deck, nestled in the Adirondack chairs. Or, watch the ocean from the comfort of the plush leather furniture through the wall of windows lining the home's exterior. It's a spacious, comfortable living space with edgy decor and enough room for 8 people to stretch out and unwind. And when that storm looms on the horizon, settle in with a movie on the DVD player or VCR. There's also cable TV and free WIFI, so bring along the laptop.
Unless your itinerary includes numerous trips to restaurants in nearby Cannon Beach and Manzanita, plan your meals and bring supplies; Arch Cape has one restaurant. Bear's Head has a full kitchen, beautifully appointed with modern appliances including a dishwasher and microwave. There's extra room for storing those cold things in the pantry through the swinging doors where you'll find a large refrigerator/freezer. (The washer and dryer are in here as well.) Enjoy an ocean view with your meals at the table with room for 6. There's room for 4 more on the padded stools at the marble, wraparound counter. On those days when the sun smiles on the Oregon Coast, fire up the gas grill on the deck and gather 'round the umbrella covered patio furniture for a barbeque.
Combining the 2 bedrooms in the main house with the potential for 3 in the attached studio (available separately!) gets you 8 people bedded down comfortably. The master bedroom comes with a queen bed, amazing ocean views, and a decor that might challenge the classically prone art lover. The other bedroom has a full bed, equally fun art, and easy access to hall bath with tub and shower. The studio - with its own private entrance and a kitchenette - has 1 bedroom and a comfortable futon with a memory foam mattress.
Enveloped by Oswald West State Park and flanked on the north by Hug Point State Park, Arch Cape - and this home - enjoy a privacy and tranquility you won't find in many of Oregon's Coastal cities. Right outside your door and up the hill is the Pacific Crest Trail, the very popular and very long avenue for hikers that runs from British Columbia to Mexico (2,663 miles!). A much less ambitious yet still rewarding hike awaits you in nearby Oswald West State Park where you can take a number of short hikes to Cape Falcon Overlook with its awe-inspiring view of the Pacific! There's also a beach that's popular with boogie boarders and places to picnic. Anglers: Head south about 7 miles to nearby Nehalem where you can try your luck in Nehalem River or arrange a trip out to deeper waters. There's also a great winery in Nehalem with a tasting room where you can sample the local vintages. And, if its trinkets and taffy you want, then Cannon Beach and Manzanita with their shops and restaurants await you!
For some peace and quiet, a great view, and a comfortable and fun place to stay on the Oregon Coast, reserve this lovely home in tranquil and picturesque Arch Cape.

Vacasa - Vacation Rentals Made Easy:
Professionally managed and cleaned homes
Local assistance 24/7 for emergencies
Secure INSTANT booking
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

I know the cove very well since I used have a family home not too far from this one. This house is set in a nice spot with an incredible view and a good size back yard for games and so on. I enjoyed the open view that the kitchen and leaving space has to offer. Winner house on the perfect Oregon coast !!!!
We had a wonderful.y relaxing visit. The views from the house and deck were beautiful with the sound of the ocean nearby!
Wow, what a great community and location of the property. Unobstructed view of the Pacific. Great for being at ease. No doubt the couch is terrible; bring a cute throw to cover it up like we did. Thank u.
Great community, easy living, and an unobstructed view of the Pacific. COUCH is famously terrible at this point. Bring a cute blanket as we did to cover it.
