Vacasa - Vacation Rentals Made Easy:
Professionally managed and cleaned homes
Local assistance 24/7 for emergencies
Secure INSTANT booking
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
When we first looked at this property, we saw the reviews about dated furnishings, etc., but honestly, who cares? The location is amazing. You basically have a private beach because there are so few people using it. There's a hot tub which we used multiple times to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset...amazing. The house is dated but its decorated beach style and is a nice big house with plenty of places for people to take a nap or just get some peace and quiet from others. We spent most of our time on the beach or tide-pooling elsewhere but we were never once disappointed to be coming "home" to Daly's.
We will most likely make this an annual location to visit...great location, great stay.
This home was perfect for the 4 of us (2 adults - 2 teens) as we were making our way from San Fran to Portland on the Pacific coast. The home definitely had a "homey" feel making you feel welcome from the second you stepped inside. It had the right appliances / kitchen tools to cook meals right at the house, and were able to enjoy beautiful sunsets, many walks on the beach that was literately right off the deck and relax in the hot tub while looking up at the stars. Things to do in Waldport - The Interpretive Center (for crabbing demos) and getting bread at the Pacific Sourdough company. We also recommend checking out the nearby towns of Yachats and Newport for shopping and restaurants. Depoe Bay is a must to check out the grey whales (recommend The Whale's Tail tour company)!
We stayed here with the kids and another family. The place was quiet and clean. We had a very peaceful time. The hot tub is a must!
We loved our stay here at Daly's Oceanfront House! It's got an older feel to it, with carpet and nautically-themed furnishings. The house has a history in a good way- like the homeowner themselves used to live there and care for it. It was easy to feel cozy and right at home.
Best part of this rental hands down is how close it is to the beach!! The back deck turns into a sand path over two sand dunes, leading directly to the white sand beach (the house is under 50 feet from the beach). There's a wood memorial bench at the top of the sand dune behind the house, a great couples' perch to watch the sunset. When the tide was out, the shore was huge and so fun to explore walking just listening to the ocean. A few neighbors had beach bonfires at night, but everyone was respectful and family oriented. Bring a beach kite because the wind is perfect!
The three-sided living room fireplace was so cool and worked great. Plenty of windows to open for a nice ocean breeze, and all have working blinds for shade/privacy. We used all three bedrooms, and loved the 4-person hot tub out back. (Be prepared for chlorine!) Although it's right next to 2 other beach homes, we had plenty of space to enjoy the back porch playing cards in the sun and sand dunes (bring your own umbrellas for shade).
The living room also has a medium-sized flatscreen TV with some movies provided and some cable channels as well. The garage basement has a laundry room, but the entire ground floor is mainly empty storage. There was a barbecue grill in the basement as well- it would have been perfect on the back deck (we didn't feel inspired to haul it out to the driveway in order to use it).
The kitchen has all the accoutrements, but you'll want to bring your own spices and oil. I'd also suggest bringing your own non-stick pans if that's what you like. There's a coffee grinder, drip coffee machine and plenty of plates/mugs/glasses/utensils. No shot glasses so bring your own! ;P
The hallway has a bathroom sink on one side, and a private-room toilet with bathtub on the other side. We were fine sharing the single shower in the master bedroom (huge walk-in tile shower).
We stayed for two nights over Memorial Day weekend, and paid the extra $50 to check out late by 7pm our final day (totally worth it. I didn't know about this until Vacasa emailed me the check-in details. Very cool.)
This was our first time visiting Waldport, and for it being perfect sunny weather- and a holiday weekend- we were impressed with how quiet the beach and town were. We mainly stayed at the house, playing on the beach and enjoying the hot tub. It was a wonderfully relaxing and charming experience. Great for a small group get together like ours! :)
The house was overal really clean and comfortable. The beach access was an extra bonus. We happened to during a stormy weekend so we didn't get out much. The hot tub was nice and the environment was calming.
