Overview

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

With a spacious outdoor deck, updated chef's kitchen, and charming nautical decor, this contemporary, dog-friendly Oceanside vacation home makes a wonderful home base to explore the Oregon Coast!

The home is tucked away in the hills above the gorgeous beach that runs between Oceanside and Netarts, with the easiest beach access about three miles away in central Oceanside. The immediate area is mostly residential and more peaceful than the coast's busier towns along Highway 101. Head north to visit the beautiful lighthouse at the tip of Cape Meares or for a locally sourced dinner at Roseanna's Cafe in Oceanside. And with some of the coast's best clamming, fishing, and crabbing just to the south in Netarts Bay, you may be tempted to catch your own dinner!

There are living spaces on two floors, allowing plenty of room for everyone to spread out on their own or socialize together. This layout is especially well suited for families - set the kids up with a game or movie downstairs, and let the adults relax and chat in the upstairs living room!

The upper floor has a spacious great room with an open kitchen, dining table, and cozy seating before a gas fireplace. The granite-topped island provides the perfect spot to perch with a glass of wine at happy hour. Guests may also want to head out to the hardwood deck and make use of the gas grill, which attaches directly to the home, eliminating the need for propane bottles, for sunny day barbecues followed by a relaxing evening in the hot tub on the lower deck. With an expanse of open space just past the back deck, you can even do some bird-watching without leaving the comfort of your vacation rental.

The lower level of the home features a laid-back entertainment room with entertainment center (including DirectTV, complimentary Netflix, and a Blu-ray player) as well as a sectional sofa for family movie nights.

The master bedroom, located on the top floor of the home, sports a comfortable California king bed piled with fluffy pillows. On the main level of the home, guests will find a queen bed in one room and a twin bunk bed in the room next door. With two full baths and a washer/dryer, up to six guests can share the space very comfortably. Small dogs (25 pounds or under) are allowed with advance notice, though a nightly fee and a minimum fee per stay will apply.

Though you may be tempted to stay at this charming house and relax, don't miss out on exploring the nearby coast! The beach beckons, and Oceanside's stretch of coastline is especially great for beachcombing and kite-flying. Be sure to take a few sunset photos of the Three Arch Rocks. Sharp-eyed birdwatchers will see plenty of feathered friends in the area, and locals and visitors alike know that nearby Netarts Bay is among the very finest places around for crabbing, clamming, and fishing. (And if you do catch your dinner in Netarts Bay, this home has a fish-cleaning station ready and waiting!)

This lovely home is equally well-suited for extended working vacations or quick weekend getaways with the family. Reserve your stay, and start looking forward to your coastal vacation!

*Please be aware that Oceanside tends to have spotty cell phone service, but the neighboring town of Netarts has decent service just three miles away.*

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Spacious pet-friendly town home with well-stocked kitchen

 • 4 of 5

Townhome in a small, quiet residential neighborhood with a great hot tub and well stocked kitchen. Lots of space across the three floors, also means lots of stairs. Hot tub was great - gets and stays very hot. Worth noting they've done a good job of making it private from decks of neighboring homes with curtains, but if privacy is a top priority for a hot tub, this probably isn't the right fit. The master bed is really bad - we agreed it's much less likely to be a personal preference thing (softer vs firmer mattress). It's lumpy and uneven and particularly bad to sleep in with two people. The other beds were just fine, but our bet is that most adults would not feel good in this bed, especially if sharing the bed.

Great beach house

 • 4 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay here. Great location close to beach and town, and the house is super cute, private and well appointed. My only complaint is that the bed in the master bedroom is miserably soft. Not sure if it's broken down or just a super soft mattress but I had to move to one of the downstairs beds because it was so uncomfortable. This has never been a problem for me with sleeping - I hope the owners consider investing in a new mattress. Other than that it was fantastic.

Too many problems with this place

 • 1 of 5

Would not recommend this place. There were so many problems with this place. Beds were very uncomfortable (too soft if you are 100 pounds or less, but they were not designed for average person). There is no cell service and no landline phone, so there will be no help in case of emergency! There is no A/C and no blinds in the living room, so it can be too hot between 2 pm and sunset + you cannot watch TV. Internet is a slow DSL not fast enough even to open email with attachment (Internet speed was 60 KB/s). The basement has very strong unbearable smell. Even the first floor smells slightly. There is exposed electrical wiring in the basement. The master bathroom is so small, that it is barely enough to find place for toothbrush and toothpaste.

Hot tub heaven

 • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful home well represented by the description on the website. The only problem we had was no cable television. We followed the trouble shooting guidelines and called the provided phone number but no one ever called us back or came to correct the problem. Other than this the place was perfect and clean, would definitely rent again.

Very underwhelmed

 • 1 of 5

The house has no Tupperware or any means of holding leftovers. How in the world would a family stay there during the holidays or for an extended period of time? The descriptions of the kitchen say they have amenities like spices and necessary kitchen gear but there is none. The bowls they have are not sufficient for cereal or soup.

This property is nowhere near the beach. You're required to drive no matter how close it looks on the map unless you'd like to repel down a cliff.

The entertainment center in the third/bottom level was not satisfactory. The remotes didn't have batteries. The gaming system was not operational.

We were very disappointed for the price we paid to stay there. Never stay here again.
