A Vancouver Native with a longtime goal of owning a piece of Whistler. Though now residing in Ontario, it's well worth the trip to ski the Best Ski Resort in North America.

Montebello's location is close enough to walk to the Lifts, Restaurants, Shops and along the Village Stroll and take part in all that Whistler has to offer, and just far enough to be outside fray when you want to relax after a long day of skiing, hiking, cycling and enjoy the Private Hot Tub under the stars.

The Relaxed and Welcoming Feeling of this Home will make you wonder why you ever stayed in a Hotel.

We stayed at the Montebello chalet in April of 2013.

The chalet is a very comfortable 3 bedroom townhouse and although not brand new, living conditions were such that it was.

The place was clean, tidy and the amenities were excellent. Cozy fireplace room with a TV and remote instructions that were not only simple to use, clearly laid out but actually worked. Nice touches were the Bose Soundock for music, boot drying machine and wireless internet access throughout any room.

Other than there was an absence of Martini glassware, the kitchen was very well stocked with all the cooking amenities that were necessary for our stay.

Best of all, the location was convenient. Convenient to both the market and the village. $5.00 cab rides each morning door to door to get to lift or a 10 minute walk to the village and a shuttle that runs as frequently as you needed.

The owners were very accessible for any questions prestay, during and after.

We would highly recommend this home to singles, couples and especially families with children.

My husband and I travelled with one other couple to beautiful Whistler Blackcombe for a 4 day ski vacation. We rented a car from Vancouver and drove to Montebello in just under 2 hours. The house was easy to find and Avis car rental return only a few blocks away. The townhouse is located just outside the main village, an easy 10-15 minute walk to both gondolas. After the first day slugging our boots, we opted for the $7 cab fare in the mornings and walked home along the foot paths apres ski stopping in at the local market to grab provisions for dinner or next day lunches. The townhouse is very nicely appointed, cozy furniture, a gas fireplace, with an open concept layout/living area and kitchen. The heated floor was especially nice!! Of the five nights we were there, we stayed in for two and dined out for three. We cabbed over to Rim Rock, Creekside, ventured up the mountain in a Cat to Crystal Hut for late night fondue and lingered into Ric's Grill one evening as well. Whether you choose to eat in or out you'll find everything you need at your finger tips. John and MaryBeth have thought of everything to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Awesome week

We had a great ski vacation. The snow conditions weren't as fabulous as previous years, but still good. We enjoyed meals in, most nights, and had all necessary dishes and pans available to cook diversified meals in the well outfitted kitchen, as well as BBQ. The space is comfortable and spacious enough for a group of 8. Activities are available in the village for all to do, to each person's satisfaction. We did zip lining which was great for the entire family. There is a 10 minute walk or less to the village, which seems long on the first day, but very comfortable and not so long thereafter. This puts you close enough to village, but far enough to not be in the middle of noisy village. Bed and duvets were so cozy and comfortable. Clean and meticulously kept accommodations. You can see that owners take pride in offering a great living space. We took advantage of the hot tub for our well exercised muscles. Towels were available and we washed them mid-week. Very convenient to have Washer and dryer because mid week wash of skiwear is needed. The younger crowd was sent to the den to play games and watch tv when necessary. Home away from home is the feeling we had.

Everything you could ask for and more!

We stayed at this Montebello townhouse for a girls get away for 4 nights. It was a fantastic vacation. The townhouse is tastefully decorated, cozy and equipped with everything you could need. All the kitchen knives, pans, utensils, dishes etc are in top shape, sharp, clean and well maintained. There are 3 different coffee makers! The bathrooms are modern, spacious and clean. The necessities are supplied for cooking...spices, coffee filters, dishwasher detergent, tea towels, paper towel (on and on) and the baths have hand soap, extra towels for the hot tub, even small toiletries are available. The BBQ and Hot tub were welcome additions and we used both during our stay. Beds are very comfortable, linens are cozy. The Bose sound system is a bonus.

The walk to the village is 10-15 min. with great shops, restaurants, a cinema. We parked the car and did not move it until we sadly left to go home. There are market stores, beer, wine and the Scandinavian Spa within walking distance. There are hiking trails and zip line excursions. Tons to do in the off-ski season.

Can't wait to go back when we can ski as well!!

Awesome Vacation - perfect accomodations!

We stayed at the Montebello chalet this past February during our family ski vacation to Whistler. The chalet was clean and comfortable and very nicely decorated. We immediately felt at home. It was the perfect size for our family, with lots of space to hang out together, or for quiet time as well. The hottub was a definite bonus after a long day of skiing. As was the boot dryer/heater, the washer/dryer, and of course the fireplace. The beds were very comfortable as well. Everything we might have needed was there for our use.

The location was perfect! Close enough to walk to the village and the ski hills, and any shopping you might need (groceries, etc.). We walked into the village each night for dinner and it was a lovely walk.

We really enjoyed our stay - we will definitely be back! It was one of our best vacations so far. Thanks so much for having us!

Wow, your location as promised was perfect. We enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere and private setting. The convenient access to walking, hiking and biking trails couldn't be better. We saw deer and other wildlife. The Den was a great place for the kids to hang out, separate from the living/dining area.

We enjoyed lots of time in the hot tub, and the weather was great too!! We will be back for sure.
