Nestled in wooded acreage among holly, pine, hemlock, rhododendron and mountain laurel, Lee's Camp provides a comfortable base to explore the many adventures available in the mountains of Western North Carolina. This upscale, private, in-town cabin on 1 full acre of land is tucked away in the middle of the forest down a quiet private road, yet is located just 4/10 of a mile from the crossroads of Highways 107 and 64 -- and only 15 minutes from Highlands. It is truly the best of both worlds.
The Lee's Camp cabin is recently built and furnished to a high standard to provide our guests the utmost comfort and convenience. Enjoy central AC and high-efficiency heat as well as a wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped when you want to cook in rather than enjoying one of the many restaurants located nearby (major grocery is 3 minutes away). To make you feel at home, our cabin features pillow top mattresses, all cotton bedding including 300 count sheets, and down comforters with duvets and down blankets or cotton quilts. The design touches throughout the cabin are numerous and are sure to please you throughout your stay.
The downstairs master bedroom offers a queen-sized bed and a full bathroom with an oversized jacuzzi tub and a rain shower - perfect for relaxing after a great day in the mountains.
The upstairs bedroom offers a king-sized bed and a full bathroom as well. And the upstairs loft area offers two twin-sized beds that can share access to the upstairs bathroom.
The living room has a wood-burning fireplace, a large flat-screen HD TV, and an iPod docking station; and the cabin comes with free WiFi Internet access, a Skype phone for free incoming and outgoing calls, DVD player, and Netflix service for watching movies and TV shows.
The back porch is a great area to sit and relax. It's outfitted with a covered grill for outdoor cooking, rocking chairs, and dining area. And there is a small pond close by with a waterfall to enjoy the gurgling sound of running water.
We look forward to welcoming you to our special mountain retreat!
This is a charming, well-built, well-furnished, and well-maintained cabin. It's perfect for a couples/family/weekend getaway. Secluded location yet right in the heart of 'in town' Cashiers.
Lee's Cabin is a beautiful, cozy property with a fabulous porch (with rocking chairs!) so you can sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay: comfortable beds and furnishings, plus a great shower and tub. Though the place is very close to the center of Cashiers, walking is challenging since the roads are very narrow and there are no sidewalks.
Beautifully designed property, very responsive owner to recent problems caused by unfortunate lighting which caused problems with WiFi, TV & microwave.
Wonderful porch, very clean interior, and overall a great 3 day stay. Exterior surrounded by mountain laurels. Very nice views of small pond and laurels. AC was good to have and the jacuzzi was a nice addition. Nice collection of movies for DVDs. No Cable TV. Challenge to work the TV for Amazon and Netflix but instructions helpful. Would stay here again!!!
We LOVED this beautiful mountain home. It is tucked away in the woods, yet walkable to Cashiers. This home is stunning, peaceful, light and bright, immaculate and perfect. Mary, the owner, was great to work with. She even emailed many suggestions for activities along with links for the websites. Beds, linens, kitchen supplies....all were perfect. We are already working on our calendar for a return visit in September.
My family is particular ( okay, picky! ) and they were thrilled with the cabin and the location.
Lee's Camp offers the discriminating traveler a high quality option beyond the typical hotel or B&B. We booked as our home away from home for our son's wedding at Sawyer Family Farmstead and were thrilled to have a quiet respite to recharge between all the activities planned during the 'wedding weekend.' Lee's Camp is so conveniently located, yet a world away - you can feel the calm as you drive through the laurel grove to reach the cabin. The cabin is tastefully appointed with an eye for detail to meet the needs of traveling individuals and families - no 'builder basic' here! Our family of four people included my 82 year old mom along with our 8 year old granddaughter - everyone was happy!! When we are traveling to this area again, Lee's Camp will be in the No.1 slot on our accommodations list!
This is our favorite place to stay in Cashiers. Very close to town, yet you feel away from everything. Very nice accommodations, great big porch with rocking chairs to chill out in.
Downstairs has a main bedroom with fullbath; upstairs has a separate bedroom w/ king....then it has a loft with 2 singles plus another full bath.
Can easily sleep 6 people.
Our family recently passed through Cashiers and stayed at Lee's Place. It was excellent. The quality of the home and all its furnishings is outstanding. The location is very convenient to the town of Cashiers, yet you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere (which is a good thing!). I hope we have a chance to visit again in the future.
