This is unit Konea 106 at Honua Kai. My cancellation policy is incorrectly stated as no refund. Please see my description below for my cancellation refund policy.

NEW: This unit now features a queen plus size comfort sleeper living room sofa bed. This luxurious sleeper sofa has solid platforms that provide even support with no bars, no springs, and no sagging and features a full 80" length of sleeping surface. Our sleeper sofa is more comfortable, longer, and 6" wider than the standard Honua Kai sofa bed. So now all our guests, regardless of where they sleep, can rest comfortably.

Located in the heart of Honua Kai Resort on the GROUND floor - our super cute and cozy two (2) bedroom, one (1) bathroom luxury condo, includes everything you could possibly want for a time away from home. Smack dab in the middle of Honua Kai, it offers less neighborly foot traffic than inner courtyard units, is on the highly desired sunny south side, and has the extra convenience of just walking out of the lanai and being just a quick minute away from the resorts many pools and the amazing Dukes Restaurant. (please see our room layout photo for the location of our condo).

Our condo, Honua Kai Unit # Konea 106 is a brand new super clean, 945 square foot (plus 325 sq ft Lanai/Garden) GROUND FLOOR hotel condominium. Honua Kai condo's and the resort offers many wonderful modern amenities. And just when you could not ask for more, many extra personal touches from a proud owner are visible in the condo such as an upgraded 8-setting shower head, iHome alarm clocks, upgraded tv in living, Amazon Echo with Spotify music, keyed lanai, vitamix blender, bathroom dryer rack, bathroom stools, and many other owner supplied goodies for your use such as beach chairs, a beach umbrella, an ice chest, boogie boards, beach towels, a pack n play with a 3" thick mattress, bed bumpers, strap on booster seat, etc.

The family friendly Ground Floor units include many bonuses not offered on any of the floors above. Extra tall 11' ceilings, oversized lanai's, and very quick and easy access in and out (from the Lanai or condo door) ... no elevators needed. The lanai opens up to lush lawns & walkways with views of the resort and West Maui mountains.

With a king Bed with luxurious linens in the master and second bedroom and a Queen sofa sleeper in living the condo is a perfectly comfortable fit for up to 6 adults. The two bedrooms, and living each have their own HD flat screen TV's and cable. In addition, the living room features a wall mounted 65" 4k smart TV and a Blu-Ray DVD player. Wireless AC Fast Internet is also included free of charge.

Swimming and Snorkeling. Walk to whalers village, etc. Or head the opposite direction (North) to visit Honokowai Beach Park (great for the little ones), the farmers market, and local organic food store.

TA taxes, cleaning fee, parking are always 100% refundable. 120 days for Christmas / New Years holiday reservations. Full terms in the rental agreement when booking.

Maintenance Updates

Starting Sept 18, 2017 the Family pool and Konea pools will be shut down for needed repair work. Both pools will go down at the same time leaving only the main infinity-edge pool with a shallow water children’s pool area open for use. The Family pool is considered less work and is scheduled to be completed in 5 weeks at which point it will be reopened for full use, the Konea pools will take approximately 3 weeks longer with an expected completion no later than Nov 18. HKCA will do everything possible to minimize the disruptions and noise to a minimum. The information, dates, and timelines have been provided to Owner by the Honua Kai Condo Association (“HKCA”) as of Aug 18, 2017.

I grew up and we currently live in Seattle, WA. My wife grew up in the Czech Republic. We have 3 little ones. A handsome 7 year old boy, a beautiful 6 year old girl, and our youngest boy is 3 years old. Our favorite getaway spot is Maui and Honua Kai.

Why Brandon Mullenberg chose Maui

We love Maui and after staying at Honua Kai Resort for the first time in 2009, we fell in love with this place. It was perfect for us. We have always struggled to find a nice condo with all the amenities we were looking for. Honua Kai Resort was the answer for us and that was what initially brought me to purchase my first condo at Honua Kai. Since then I have purchased 5 more ground floor units and now have 6. In my opinion ground floor units are the most convenient and the absolute best. They have quick and easy access to the outside, the pool, and everything else. We just love this place.

All my units feature many added benefits, such as:

Great time at Honua Kai Resort!

We had a great time at Honua Kai and Brandon's condo was perfect for our family of 5 and exceeded our expectations. The condo was larger than we expected and the ground level unit was nice to avoid getting on elevators. The condo had a closet with boogie boards, chairs, umbrella and all the things you need for the beach which helped keep our kids entertained.

This resort is absolutely beautiful including the grounds, pools, and beach. We enjoyed a relaxing stay and will definitely contact Brandon again when we visit Maui.

Perfect Family Getaway!

“My family and I spent 6 nights at Brandon's place at Honua Kai and our stay couldn't have been more perfect. We were greeted by Monty who was amazing and responsive. We had my parents and our 10 month old with us so the ground floor and location of the unit was perfect--it was next to the gym, front lobby, and a short walk to the pools and beach. The place was clean, beds were SO cozy, and it had all the basic essentials to cook meals. The unit also had beach essentials such as towels, a cooler, chairs, & more, which was awesome since we didn't have to buy or rent them. Lastly, Brandon was a great host. One of the best customer service experiences I've had. We will be back again!”

Perfect Vacation Condo

We stayed for 6 nights in May with our two small children, ages 2 and 4 and my parents. My husband and I took the sleeper sofa so our kids could have the bedroom and it was super comfy. Having a ground floor unit with a lanai and large lawn right outside was amazing, especially for our little ones. They ate most of their meals out there and then would run wild on the grass. The hotel/resort is perfect for families, with a general store that had pretty much everything you could need along with awesome pools with kiddie features. We had a small issue with the pack and play, but it was resolved within hours of our arrival.

Beautiful condo that makes you feel at home

We were very impressed with the Konea 106 unit. As soon as we arrived Monty was there to greet us and show us to our room. The months leading up to our arrival Brandon was very helpful getting us a rental car and very quick to answer any questions we had. Brandon provided us with all the information we needed along with recommendations for activities during our visit. We had a 2 year old and a 15 month old in our room and Brandon definitely has the room set up to be kid friendly. They loved all the beach toys and we loved not having to rent chairs, toys, umbrellas, or ice chests for the beach. I highly recommend renting from Brandon for your next trip to Maui.

Nice condo. The location was conveniently located on property close to the beach.

We enjoyed the condo. There was plenty of room for a family of four. The beach/resort access was great! The refrigerator was our only inconvenience--at random times, it would leak all over the kitchen floor. Maintenance was called and the tech could find nothing wrong with the appliance. After a few days, we learned to deal with the leaks in order to avoid having to spend vacation in Maui dealing with repair people. Overall, it was a nice place and we enjoyed our stay!

Owner's Response: I apologize for the inconvenience of the fridge leak. The condenser fan motor has been replaced which has fixed the problem and it is no longer occurring. For anyone curious about the repair process, in-house Honua Kai maintenance has access to all units so if ever there is ever an issue there is no need to wait in the unit for the tech to show. We try to handle all issues promptly and hope to have an immediate fix but sometimes it can take a bit longer or may be a trial and error process, dependent on the nature of the issue. This was one of those times. I am glad however that you enjoyed your stay, found it to be a nice place and I do hope to have you back for your next vacation to Maui. Best, Brandon

Beautiful condo with all the amenities of home.

We arrived at 9 pm and were greeted by Monty who gave us keys. He was very welcoming and answered all our questions! Brandon and Monty are very organized and sent us a lot of information about condo and surrounding area! It made our stay that much more wonderful! The resort is beautiful with many staff whom we give 5 stars. Dukes has fabulous food which is one property! The doormen carried our grocery supplies in and valet parked our car! Marketplace is nice and affordable. We even saw a sea turtle snorkeling right in front of resort! Can't wait to return to paradise!
